  1. That raised hail and took names in the Chicago Underworld scene for years, not that I admire that type behavior. I coulda swore he died at home in Miami, Fl. Now why on earth would you want to chime in on this key clattering exchange. Didn't Coach Brooks teach you any manners? I just realized I've been facting away with some pseudo fan giving opinions on two teams he rarely, if ever, saw himself. He's correct about one thing though, time to let this tarbaby topic regarding SP/Alcoa die. It has no future, just like any SP/NJ matchup. Ain't gonna happen.
  2. Well, ye redeemed yeself alittle with that post; leastwise ye ain't completely daft. TT99, l0l classes wus all just filler stuff for me, i.e. no challenge. Saw every game I commented on personally. You, obviously, didn't. The 2008 kids are all growed up and gone away so arguing about them is pointless. Here's some facts: I don't smoke, drink or inhale others second hand smoke if I can help it. Never have. Heads clear and this I know. Teams don't advance through York, Smith Co. (on the road), BB (on the road), and play Alcoa tough for most of a game by LUCK my friend. If you believe that, step out of the valley more often; you haven't seen enough football games yet. I've seen Alcoa many times personally; they're a fun team to watch. I'll reiterate, I hope, no, make that PRAY, that someday before their dominance drops, SP gets the opportunity to play them. So come on Vic, schedule Alcoa. The gate will be HUGE, as will the point spread the Pirates get beaten by. No disrespect to the Pirate team intended. Yall just need to quit commenting on Alcoa before that dog gits up and bites you square in the arse.
  3. Just post awful things about the Pirate players; he'll show up. He flogged my #### once and I'us trying to be nice.
  4. Me'n the Ambassador are thinking alike for once, and I don't know which one of us is more insulted because of it. I like that score. Anything short of Central showing up in red uniforms, that's about right.
  5. Listen TT99. You have got to be a youngun. This ain't a red flag in a bulls face post, just fact. At the end of 2008 your Pirate team couldn't even have beaten MC, let alone Alcoa. Don't quite know what to make of what happened to them, but trust me, I expected it. That team lacked something that the 2007 team had, and I'm not talking about the graduated Seniors. MC earned everything they achieved that year and your Pirates earned a permanent "Failed to Achieve Potential" tag that they will forever be saddled with. That is historical fact; accept it. I like those Pirates as much as the next fan, but no recent team they've had could compete with the Alcoa's of Tennessee. All that talk in 2007; they'us being POLITE. Velley teams just ain't skilled enough overall or deep enough to battle programs like these. For your sake and others as overconfident as you, I wish SP could someday play Alcoa, at their place, while they remain dominant. You fans deserve the humbling that would surely come your way. You younguns today, YOU JUST BEAT ALL.
  6. PL, its refreshing to see one Pirate fan that can show some sense. You must not be a youngun. Even great programs like SP and that middle Tennessee bunch up there slide down in dominance on an exponential scale as they move up in classifications. At Alcoa's level of play, most valley kids would never make starter. Some would, no question. Most would not. Al says to you for showing the coacht world you're not all nuts around SP.
  7. Nobody, and I mean nobody, in this valley, or at the valley head for that matter, needs to entertain the thought of playing Alcoa. That AlcoasPaintedBridge poster would mop the floor with these valley posters, then the F-5 team would do the same to our football teams. Talk about letting the Kraken out. Just let that sleeping dog lie. Far as playing NJ, Pirates could compete most years. That game should happen. Bring back some of that cross state-line rivalry. Yep, gate would likely match last weeks SM-SP crowd. Most likely the game would too.
  8. I don't like this new coacht anti-delete.
  9. One more for the Coacht "Worth Repeating" post. If you're really Pirate fans, read them first names..........Speed and grit wasn't born in the '90's people. As for Jimmy, well, "TPS Wig(falls) to the Pirates" about says it all. That quote probably ain't perfect, close enough though. And "We'll playem nikked" should be mentioned. Probably the most memorable Pirate quote ever spoked.
  10. Well, Al stands corrected, thank you very much. Looks like M-Troll just joined the "Worth Repeating" Coacht frequent poster crowd. MC might be outgunned and will be outrunned; any help appreciated. Contain, contain, contain.....and tackle quick. Anything less......goodbye.
  11. OK, good to see this thread finally getting some attention from the Coacht big guns (Troll don't count; he's to young). The way I see it, with similiar records and almost identical win margins over a common opponent, SC is at home and should win this game by 7 or less. The black jersey + margin is nullified; apparently they burned them two years ago. I know SC will be ready and motivated. I believe Coach Boeck will have his Warriors ready also. I still believe MC will get the upset in this game; it'll take a total team effort to pull off. All MC has to do is have all their defensive X's in position to tackle the SC O's at or near the LOS. Simple. Now just do it. MC players that miss tackles will experience the undignified glory of chasing SC #'s down the field. LB's and linemen must get the job done. MC's secondary ain't gonna catch these SC flashes.
  12. OK, I made a post, decided to delete and kept getting "Error - go back" etc. Edited the post out and got a "Your post is empty" note. Well, it ain't empty now and I hope Marion County wins this game.
  13. They ain't. What'd you base that statement on, a CoachT post. Good grief (My apologys Coacht). Somebody said Obama's an American citizen but that don't make it so. You younguns today. You just beat all. Be patient. I'm going to explain something to you, that poster just above, and that'un just below. Coach Boeck has the bad luck to be saddled every year, all the way back to 2008, with teams that seem to want to play like skillet(less) slingers early in the year. This team's no different. Then they begin to experience the real Coach Boeck. They start to learn to Fear the Boeck more than they Fear the opposition. That's the man's genuis. When kids start listening to him (and he has ways to make sure they do), they suddenly start to play to their potential, even above it in some years. Once again, this team's no different. Just watch. Everybody seems to think he has nothing. Well, everybody's wrong. Just wait. He'll have a little something for SC this week. Now I'm off my soapbox. That SC speed just concerns me, that's all. You can't coach speed.
  14. Last week Coach Boeck and Company mixed up their Offense just enough to help get a win. I hope this week he comes up with something different on defense to stop SC's speed; I'm thinking something along a 14 man line might work. Just squeez'em close together and hope the Ref's can't count. Leave the 15th man back to cover that pass play somebody noted they have. All this SC speed concerns me but, I have confidence in the Coach. He'll come up with something. Now........In my best Roy Dillard voice, Let me ask them moderators a question. Can you put up a force field around a post to keep some malicious minded person from inserting little stinger statements in big bold letters. I tell you, these younguns today just beat all. And while I'm asking, let me ask them one more question. What's up with that "Warn Status" thing on my post. Being different don't usually bother me but, come on. What'd I do?
  15. Post of the week PowerP. If you'd just throwed in something about a pole.
  16. And your Daddy shoulda given you another one last week for letting that "Green Bean Stadium" comment slide by so unchallenged. You younguns just beat all. Pirates won't have any trouble this week. They've developed a bad habit of beating up on anything Purple, and I don't take any satisfaction is having to say that. Pirates "A Lot" and Central "Not Much". Pounder People, there's still time to change them colors. I'd suggest Red.
  17. Silver linings my not so old pirate friend. Remember 2008, with all those regular season big game W's, taking on that Ship's bow, arms outspread, King Of The World attitude, only to end up like an egg dropped from ten feet onto concrete SPLAT. SM probably delivered just what these Pirates required to make them understand state championships have to be earned on the field. They don't get awarded for simply wearing black hats with big P's and being adored by the local populace. Old Roy has the formula. Gettem lifting weights, wearing ankle weights, and knocking holes and they certainly can earn another gold ball. Defense better start playing better though. There's other good 1A offenses out there, and 40 points just ain't going to bring home any bacon. SM, on the other hand, has to guard against just that kind of attitude that done the 2008 Pirates in. Just a single regular season win, nothing more.
  18. Now come on OP, does those last two earholings you endure from those purple clad players still sting that much......So much resentment. One thing's for sure, if those Jasper (there, I said it) squaws ever do ID and corner you, what's left will have LODGE imprinted permanently from head to toe. I stepped through that SM side Friday night just to feel the atmosphere on both sides. Can't recall seeing any purple but, if Troll says it was there, it must have been. Just saying I didn't see any personally. As for this game, Marion will win if they manage to keep ole deer chaser running East to West and not the other directions. Mr. Boeck knows what he's doing. His talent is down but Sequatchie better not expect MC to roll over. Must be a pact by MC posters not to support the Warriors this season. How's that Living Legend additional support working out for those Pireates this year. He'll likely regret that before the season is finished. MC in a close one, just because they always find a way against Sequatchie.
  19. I didn't include you in the five but I fixed my post while you were posting. Thanks for the confidence..........and the thread for that matter.
  20. Let me take a shot at that.......No one. Two solid teams play a classic game, completely living up the the pregame hype, something that rarely happens. SM played about as solid a game as they're capable of playing, caught a break late, and pulled out a narrow win over SP. Statistically, except for the late turn over, that's likely how it should have turned out. SM will likely win the Region but, I see only winners out of this. SP demonstrated they can play with any 1A or 2A team in the state. SM demonstrated they can stay on the field with any 1A school. Hmmmmmm. Except for a blemish on their season record, SP should be just fine for the remainder of the season. Here's a thought. If championships are won with great defenses, we might have just seen the two Silver Ball winners tonight. You think I'm joking but I'm not. Giving up 40 and 36 points don't win Gold Balls very often. Geno, PowerP, lay off the coach. Going in with the lead (after trailing most of the first half) and Big Mo on your side was the correct call. I thought SP had the game well in hand at that time.
  21. Six predictions on this thread, five wrong, and one hope.....dashed. Don't bother buying any lottery tickets Guys. Let that Indian poster pick them up for you. Marion County still lives, Coach Boeck's just fine, and with ole Living Legend now a Pirate hoser, he gets to spend the week in Loserville. Congrats to the MC Warriors and Coach Boeck.
  22. Old Pirate every once in awHilE you cAn posT some stuff tHat makes sense. (Almost forgot.....G) I put alot of those little dots to coveR the jIbberish stuff. That last sentence says a lot about you if folks will just reaD a littlE between the lines. aRe you supportive of blowout wins like this? I'm wondering if it ain't about time for SP to get a head coach with just a mite more class. Maybe its time you stepped up. Al understands them CAPITAL letters.
  23. JBA, I'm a disgusted old Pirate fan who dragged hisself out to last nights game just to leave during the second half with a sack over his head. If your post reflects how most JB fans conduct themselves I think I just found me another team to pull for. Jabbering and jawing on these boards is one thing but deliberately humiliating another teams players and coaches just ain't classy. I'm thinking maybe after ole Vic blows another season later this year maybe its time to call on Old Pirate for a coaching change. We got the wrong Grider in charge.
  24. i think that to sometimes but i hope it aint true. no way for him to be acting. now htat delmar thought down below is probalby more on track. In the big LV now time to gamble.
  25. Well big al is slowly driving across contry to big LA for the monday UT game and had to miss last nights game. saw the score last night on the coacht site and figured didnt miss much except another runand gun show. also read the chat. times article on the compputer and wondered about vics comments at the bottom of the article about not pulling starters. guess this must have had something to do with that comment. jsut how close to the sideline was you OP i think you might have been a youngun whenn i graduated and often wondered who you are. I should be back in the valley by boyd time and will have to look harder round the fence behind the bench area. congrats Pirates and good luck to all valley teams thsi season. Mrs Capone ahs no comment at this time , probly upset about the score.
