  3. How does it work for establishing the brackets when there are 5 teams in a district? Does 4 and 5 play for a spot to play against 1 and then 2 plays 3? Winner of 1 vs (4 or 5) plays winner 2 vs 3 and losers play each other for district 4th and 5th place? Not quite sure how it works?? Anyone know?
  4. In the big ones contest the standings show 28 games. There have been 30 games to pick from thru yesterday 1/19. Just wondering where the other 2 went? 15th 13 ... 16th 4 ... 18th 2 ... 19th ... 11. That was a total of 30. Men's is off by 1. 26 vs 27??
  5. Played in Martin 1963-1966 and have some fond memories of tournament times in Greenfield. This was the same time Lynn Dunn was playing at Dresden. I'm pulling for Greenfield! They are my Big Ones pick.
  6. Did not know Clay had a player injured. Are you sure you are not thinking of Garrett with Pickett Co.??
  7. I've not seen any 14A teams play this year. They may be outstanding??? I know Jackson County is pretty solid and Clarkrange is getting in the grove and are improved over the earlier part of the season. Pickett is average and lost one of their starters (Garrett) to injury. Guess we really won't know how they will stack up until we see who gets to the Boro.
  8. Don't get too bent out of shape midtensportsfan. Jackson Co. got 10 1st place votes (largest #) compared to 1 & 4 for Gleason and Middleton. It is just that more voters agreed on who was 2nd and 3rd. We will see the real results come March 13th.
  9. Below are the scoring leaders as reported to the Tennesseanas of 1/11/10. These are unofficial and only include games reported to the newspaper. 10. Congratulations to Blackman's point guard Shelby Campbell, who scored her 1000th career point against FRA on Dec 30th. Shelby has signed with Samford. Go Shelby!!!!
  11. Game is off the schedule so I'm assuming that it is postponed.
  12. Congratulations Blackman. Go Lady Blaze!
  13. Congratulations Lady Buffaloes. 59 to 37 win over Stone Memorial. CR - 19 ... 16 ... 14 ... 10 ... Tot 59 SM - 7 .... 6 .... 9 .... 15 ... Tot 37 Kelly Reed did a superb job getting the ball on the nose with her assists. Carly Dickens high scorer for CR with 18 Erin Keys high scorer for Stone with 9
  14. Game moved to Jan 23rd due to TSSAA Blue Cross Bowl.
  15. Upperman 50 --- Smith 24 Cannon 77 ---- York 28
  16. Congratulations to JC. 57 to 47 win over Clarkrange. Much of the game played on the foul line. JC hit 25 of 32 and did not miss any until late in the 4th. Cr hit 20 of 31 at the lane. (very unofficial) 3 from CR fouled out and 2 from JC. Warden from JC had 3 three pointers.
  17. Upperman by a bunch. Cannon County by 10.
  18. Not listed as a Hall of Fame game on schedule??? Don't think Dekalb would be able to hang most of those teams you have listed. But they must have improved quite a bit since I last saw them play. Livingston is also AA.
  19. Oakland lost to Livingston on 11/23 35 to 56.
  20. This game could go either way. Think it will be close. Here is some information on Oliver Springs games played this year by both teams. Nov 24 @ Jackson Co JC ... 13 ... 14 ... 17 ... 19 ... Final 63 OS .... 9 ... 12 .... 9 ... 13 ... Final 43 Dec 1 @ Oliver Springs CR ... 23 ... 20 ... 14 ... 2 ... Final 59 OS .... 4 ..... 8 .... 8 ... 7 ... Final 27 JC led by 6 at half time and won by 20. Not sure how long starters played?? CR led by 31 at half and won by 32 Starters out with 3:11 left in Q3. Did not return. Score at 3:11 left in Q3 55/18. If this is any indication, CR should probably win. But with this game you can throw out all the data. Could go either way, especially at JC.
  21. Here is the link. Hope it works. http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll ... 1&tier6=-1
