  1. They are actually starting 4 g's this year. Maybe they will all show up!
  2. Should be very close. Think Pickett may come out on top.
  3. Most of these are not on the Prep Signees. Who adds individuals to this area?
  4. I have a question?? What was the technical foul late in the game when Carly fouled out. Forrest made about 6 points as a result of that situation. Beth hit 4 foul shots and they got the ball back. Did not quite understand the call. Just wondering.
  5. Based on last nights game she should be right up there as one of the best. To quote Aunt Kim... "WOW"
  6. Congratulations to Forrest and a big congratulations to Beth Hawn. Awesome game. 1000+ career points...playing in front of her future coach at UTM.... 30 points......Lots of rebounds....longs arms all over the place..... great job. Knew it would be a good game and it was. Thinking we may meet again at the Boro.
  7. Freshman class are just Fentress Co middle schoolers who chose CR for high school. Never attended York for high school
  8. Not sure you were meaning Laken Leonard as a CR player. Yes she is returning for Jackson Co. Likely starters for CR .#1 Tara Donhauser -- So. ?? .#0 Suzie Cooper ----- Jr. #41 Carly Dickens --- So. #52 Kelli Reed ------- Sr. (Returning starter) #40 Molly Heady ----- Sr. (Returning starter) Think it will be a good game with CR coming out on top.
  9. Lost 4 players to graduation. Lost 3 starters; Phillips, Green, and Lowe. Also lost 6"2 post Snow, who saw lots of playing time. Should be a good game.
  10. Blackman varsity by 20 over Clarkrange varsity (Not JV) Blackmans varsity would have no reason to play Clarkranges JV Blackman varsity by about 10 over Cookeville varsity. Clarkrange starting 5 were not on the floor during the Blackman game. It was Clarkrange JV.
  11. Original schedule is below. I think Clarkrange is playing Wilson Central at 10:00 AM instead of Ensworth. I don't know about the other Ensworth games. It may be that Wilson Central is replacing them on the schedule?????? BHS - Main --- Gym opens at 8:30 9:00 Hunters Lane v BGA 10:00 Ensworth v CLARKRANGE 11:00 Ensworth v Hunters Lane 12:00 Ensworth v Lawrence Co 1:00 BLACKMAN v Jackson Co 2:00 Smyrna v Cookeville 3:00 BLACKMAN v CLARKRANGE 4;00 BLACKMAN v Cookeville 5:00 Mt. 12. Not disagreeing with on the need to recruit locally and establish ties with players, coaches (high school and AAU both) but if you can get better, out of state, you do it. Briana Jordan is Hoopgurlz' #6 player in Georgia this year, rated #40 among guards overall nationally. The site gives her a 90 grade. That's the same rating, for in-state and nationally, as Chassidy Fussell. Candace Parson is 6'2" and was also apparently wanted by Mississippi State. Diamond Henderson is unranked which doesn't mean she's necessarily a bad player, just not known as well. For a comparison, good players in Tennessee like Haislip, Leonard and Heady are also unranked on the site and everyone here knows they can play. I know for a fact they were very interested in some seniors this year, whether they thought these players were better or just couldn't convince those to sign, who knows. If they can get great players from out-of-state that's wonderful. When you have average players from out-of-state and local talent could do as well, the in-state players should be sought after with a passion. Need good players to win. Winning teams build great programs. Women playing on a winning team that are known in the area bring in fans. I personally have been to few games at TTU in the last few years. Not a lot of excitement in seeing women you have no history with loose games. I'm hoping Ms. Messer, with her energy and excitement, can obtain the right balance and we see TTU back on top again with record attendance for women's games.
  13. Well, if you check the verbals for next year, you'll see the next thing. Glad the coaches in the state have got this thing worked out and understand the value. If you look at the MTSU roster, Middle Tennessee is dominent. Well, it does not seem to be the case for TN Tech. Hopefully the new coach may get the message and understand the value. Don't think it will be in the next year. You might be surprised. TTU's early signing 2010-2011 recruits: ...Molly Heady , Clarkrange TN ...Diamond Henderson, Kennesaw GA ...Briana Jordan, Norcross GA ...Candace Parson, Ft. Lauderdale FLA
  14. Got a definite West Tn flavor... You might be surprised. ................................................................................................... One area recruit does not a middle tn team make. I sure hope I'm surprised! UTM 9 of 12 from TN ... 75% MTSU 11 of 15 from TN ... 73% TTU 5 of 11 from TN ... 45%
  15. FRA, Moore Co., Clarkrange, and 5 other teams ??

  18. Heard Jackson Co beat Cannon Co 52 to 36
  19. Clarkrange lost 4 seniors. 3 started and the other was 6'2 post who saw lots of playing time. 2 excellent starters remain ( Reed, Heady) and there are some good players stepping up to fill other starting positions. May not have the depth as last year but will be very strong contenders.
  20. It's going to be a very exciting year. Think there will be some upsets and there will be a fight for the top slots. Clarkrange will more than likely be on top. 2 to 4 up for grabs. My picks (very preliminary) 1.. Clarkrange 2.. Jackson Co. 3.. Pickett Co. 4.. Clay Co 5.. Monterey
  21. Is Blackman having a playday on the 14th? If they are does anyone know the teams and schedule?
