ELA Here in time to experience the new TSSAA summer restrictions with the rest of us! Here is what I know so far: July 11th - MTSU July 12th - APSU July 18th - Tenn Tech July 18/19th -- Vandy WKU and UT have them as well, but I believe they have their tourney's on the same dates or that weekend of the Vandy Tourney. Major log-jam of passing tourneys in July now thanks to the TSSAA!

From Franktownsoccer Franktown: I can assure you that the Indy Head Coach was nowhere near the FHS sideline making any such comment or gestures. Here is why....First of all, I am the Head Coach, so you heard/read it straight from me. After the game, I met the FHS staff at mid-field and recognized their tremendous effort. I then proceeded to find the likes of Anthony Steele, Casey Dikes, Tucker Cathy, Keylo Lee, etc to congratulate them all on a fine season. Your accusation is untrue and a mis-representation of myself and what I stand for in this game. As for this thread, I am embarassed to see what is being displayed here. I can assure you that many of the comments being posted from so-called IHS followers are not an accurate representation of the Independence football program. I hope this thread will do a 360 and recognize that two excellent, proven, and deserving football programs are playing for an opportunity of a lifetime this Friday night. Otherwise..CoachT, shut it down! My goal here was to accurately represent the IHS program and show the Millington program the respect that they definately deserve. I feel that neither program has been accurately represented so far, and both deserve props for their hard work and success thus far. Red...no disrespect, but Fairview was a much improved program and on the rise when Coach Mat came in. (I only say that because I was on staff at the time!) I posted the below in a thread above: Coach Tommy Rewis came in and really changed the mindset in that program and laid a firm foundation for Coach Mat and his staff to build on, and it appears they have not missed a beat since Coach Rewis left Fairview to go east. Regardless, it is obvious that Coach Mat can get it done since the program has maintained its successful pace!

Donathan Sorry, I did not work with Coach Mat out at Fairview. He arrived shortly after I left there to open Heritage Middle. I worked with and under Tommy Rewis at Fairview High. Coach Rewis came in and really changed the mindset in that program and laid a firm foundation for Coach Mat and his staff to build on, and it appears they have not missed a beat since Coach Rewis left Fairview to go east. Even though I do not know Coach Mat that well, I believe this is a good hire for CHS as well. I wish him and CHS the best (Except in Week 2!) I also hope that Fairview can find someone to come in and replicate the success that has been going on out there the last several years! I have many ole friends out there that I respect and wish the best for! And I did not pull my name from CHS consideration due to "inside information". My FAMILY and CAREER led to that decision!
