Megan Roberson is a great player. She has to be one of the leading candidates for MVP in the district. She does everything. The point guard for DCA and the girl from STATION CAMP are both super players, but in my opinion no one does more for their team then Roberson. Im not sure what she averages but i would guess she has to be about 15-20 pts, 8-10 rebounds, and 6-8 assists a game.The girl definetly can play.

A big win for White House tonight. Gaines was huge ,Barnes played well, and Tro did a good job guarding Jenkins. Chad used his athleticism guarding Jenkins also. Poindexter really did a nice job also. Refs were lousy , but thats just the way it is sometimes. You have to play thru it. Team still hasnt lost a regular season district game in 2 years . Would we wonderful to run the table again this year.

I was very impressed with Beech. They shoot very well, but thats nothing new. But what is new is their athleticism. I cant believe Gallatin beat them by 23. White House will have to play better next time they play Beech if they hope to win. The 1-3-1 always seems to give White House problems. Always. White House had too many turnovers tonight, and couldn't make free throws. Take care of the ball and play good defense and everything else will take care of itself.

I predict that they will play a basketball game tommorrow night. Alright i'll make one. White House 65 Beech 55.

Team looked good. Especially early. Everyone played , and most everyone scored. Keep it up. I think everyone is starting to jell. Play good defense and take care of the ball and everything else will take care of itself.

Gaines was dominant once again. Smyrna needs alot of help. When the football players get back im sure that will make them a better team. Take care of the ball, and play good defense and everything else will take care of itself.

I'm not sure what Terrell, West, and Mayes average but Gaines , Wood , and Barnes all average over 15. Gaines and Wood also average alot of rebounds, and I'm sure Barnes is up there in assists and steals.

Franklin Simpson was very good. White House should be a better team after playing against that pressure. Gaines 23 points 12 rebounds. Barnes 17 points , 5 steals. Defense looked better but way to many turnovers. Take care of the ball, and play good defense and everything else will take care of itself.

What would you expect their record to be? Very tough district they played in. 2 teams went to state that year from the district. Im sure Freshman Barnes Wood and Troubaugh played that year in the rotation. Should they have been 20-8 in that district with all those freshman?

Barnes uses both hands equally well. Gaines has no problems playing defense. Is their some jealousy going on with you?

Wood averages 19 per game this year. Barnes 15. Gaines 13. As good of a threesome as you'll find. The difference between this year and last is lots and lots of depth.

Wood had another good game, and Gaines was spectacular. Barnes shot the ball well in the 1st half. Don't think he took many attempts in the 2nd half. The defense is very suspect right now. Has to improve to compete with the great teams. Last night Westmoreland hit 7-9 threes, and tonight Jo byrns hit around 12. Play good defense and take care of the ball and everything else will take care of itself.

Great job passing the ball tonight. Very balanced scoring. 4 players in double figures. Good to see bigun back playing. Very good ball movement. Mustve had close to 20 layups on good passes. Take care of the ball, and play good defense and everything else will take care of itself.

How would they compare to Gallatin? They have a better starting lineup then Gallatin in my opinion. Not as athletic , but definetly better players. Gallatin beat White House in summer camp last summer by about 5. Barnes did not play because of an ankle injury he had most of the summer. Jenkins is a big time D1 player. He will sign somewhere big, but in my opinion Barnes could play D1 somewhere. I think people that know basketball realize this. I don't think its a secret. People also have to understand that scoring isn't everything. They also have to realize that the #1 option for White House is Gaines. Who would not have him as the #1 option in their teams offense????? Barnes realizes that and plays to win. When Barnes was a sophmore 6 ft 6 Cumberland University player Steven Jamison was the #1 option. Also White House runs a patient/offense that don't score alot of points. (Even though that might change this year.) Too many weapons this year, along with a ton of depth. I think those are the starters on Gallatin, and those will probably be the starters on White House once everyone gets back. Every time i see B. Hunter play he plays well. Also Newbill is a super athlete, and has improved his game. By the way Barnes had 23 last night with 4 assists and 4 three pointers in his 1st game back after football with a bumb ankle. Their have been 4 people to turn around White House's program these last 3 years. The previous 3-4 years before that White House won maybe 20 games in those years total. Danny Mathis , Jeremy Barnes, Steven Jamison, and Rogers Gaines has put White House basketball back on the map.Mathis was as good of a coach as you will find anywhere. He was as good as it gets in the coaching business. I think Dee Spencer is also very intense which in my opinion is what you need. I think he will be a super coach before all is said and done. He's doing a great job so far IMO having to replace a legend like Danny Mathis.

Smith Co. has a good team again this year. I would say they can compete with LA for the district this year. White House played without 5 or 6 varsity players, and will be one of the better teams again this year in AA. Barnes had 23 in the game with 4 three -pointers.

Good to see the football players back playing. Jeremy Barnes shot the ball well as did Chase Neal. They have alot of good shooters on this team.

Even though White House lost it might've been the best game i watched all year. White House's goal line stand was incredible. We just ran out of time is what it came down too. We just could'nt punch it in the end zone. You could tell all the respect Pearl Cohns players had for the players of White House at the end of the game. They knew they were in a battle. GREAT YEAR WHITE HOUSE, AND ALL OF WHITE HOUSE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!

As i said the game was at Clarksville tonight. I think on a neutral court Gallatin would win. I would have Sycamore probably around 15th-20th in the Midstate in all classes. In AA in the Midstate i would probably have them around 6-10.

Probably close because i know they all played last year as sophmores. And experience isnt everything, but it does help. Im not sure if Z and Miller played varsity as freshman or not. White House has Barnes (the flash) STARTED since his freshman year on varsity. Not played , but started. Also Gaines (big daddy) played as a soph , and started last year when he was ALL-STATE. Garrett Wood has played varsity since he was a freshman. Trobaugh played varsity his freshman year . He sat out his soph year , and then he played his junior year. Travis has also played varsity since his soph year. Im sure Z and Miller has played ALOT and i know they play AAU . I think they play on John Jenkins team from Station Camp in AAU but im not positive on that. White House has a good young coach, but the coach that helped turn around the White House basketball program retired at the end of last year. We'll see how it all plays out, but White House is very talented and very experienced and has ALOT more depth and talent then it had last year.
