  1. It only applies to teams during the school year prior to the season, so it does not impact the spring teams.
  2. You left out Brentwood Academy, and I believe that Davidson Academy and University School are playing in the DII small division next year. I would list the teams as follows: Ensworth Harpeth Hall Brentwood Academy JPII Father Ryan BGA St. Cecilia
  3. You have just described Jasmine Gunn with your defintion. She is, without a doubt, one of the top guards in the midstate. Did not see the game, but apparently WC had no answer for her with their guards. Give Gunn her props, though. She makes that team go.
  4. Webb 50 BA 47 http://www.tssaa.org/2006Champions/StateGB...ionII/Game7.htm
  5. Shelbyville is a good team, but I do not see them winning at Cleveland. The loss to Riverdale was a costly one.
  6. I think the finals will be BA vs the Webb/Lausanne winner (obviously), and I think either Webb or BA will win. Lausanne may be too young to take it this year, but I would never count out Lauren Avant.
  7. Franklin wins in overtime...forgot the score...2 or 3, I think. This was a fantastic game!!
  8. Lausanne is the real deal. Those are some tough matchups for the Middle Region.
  9. I would have to go with Brentwood Academy in this one. Football, Boys and Girls Basketball, Track are all state champions, I believe.
  10. Doc Shelton has his team playing great down the stretch...that guy can really coach!!
  11. I got CPA...they're on a mission, it seems. Drew Maddux doing a nice job over there with some great young talent.
  12. I see Franklin winning the rematch by 4-8 points. McGavock, though, is getting better every game and could pull this one out...very quick on the perimeter.
  13. The opener between BA and St. George's will be some kind of matchup. I think the championship still has to go through BA, but they're not the lock they were in the past with Brandon Wright, obviously. I'm going to go with BA, but look for Ensworth to make some noise, too. Should be a great tournament.
  14. Well, no upsets tonight, but the Ensworth-HH score was closer than I expected. Perhaps the Antioch game was a fluke?
  15. They have, in my opinion, the AAA Miss Basketball recipient in Anne Marie Lanning. She can flat put it in the hole!!
  16. Why did Centennial not try a zone last night? They gave up 44 points in the first half, and they were unable to defend Franklin's shooters (or anything, for that matter) with their man defense. Just wanted to get some thoughts on this.
  17. Congrats to JPII on a convincing win. I think Ensworth and BA win by double-digit margins.
  18. I've got: Laken Leonard - A Kayci Ferris - AA Anne Marie Lanning - AAA Glory Johnson - DII
  19. I've got: Seth Skogen - A Gerald Robinson - AA Maurice Miller - AAA Elliot Williams - DII
  20. Not sure Kuchar was a difference maker vs Overton
  21. I think this one is a toss-up, but I am going to go with Franklin in a close one because of coaching and tradition. Not a slap at Centennial on either count, I just think Franklin has the edge in these areas.
  22. They're young, but they have five future DI players: Anna Bowers, Emily Perkins, Nakia Lang, Jamie Allsmiller, Marie Carpenter. If anyone is going to beat them in the Middle Region, it will be Brentwood Academy, but I think Ensworth will get them in a close one.
  23. Ensworth is going to win the Middle Region...book it Knoxville Webb, Briarcrest, or Lausanne will win the whole thing...don't book this just yet
