It has nothing to do with professionalism, the question should be is this going on at practice when parents are not around? Was it an isolated incident? Does Nunley do anything? Football at this point is second on the list and i would think you with 2 kids and 1 on the way would be asking these questions. Why not ask these questions on here. The coach did all this in front of everyone at the scrimmage and now its private time??

Thanks for your concern over our baseball boys, but there are not that many that play football. Bowles kid transferred because he is or should i say his dad is a hot tempered my kid should be number 1 kind of guy. He wasnt getting that here so yeah he left. If I am not mistaken I don't think he is number 1 over there either. Sooo The question to Coffee County supporters should be why? as in why can we not get ball players on the field, why do most of the "jocks" not want to play football. Numbers were down then we got a new coach..Price. Numbers went up. Now they are at a new low, is it coaching again. Is it time for a change. In case you havent guessed I am all for a turnover. The present "head" coach is not getting the job done. He is not a motivator and kids do not want to play for him. You make some good points (Bowles kid / dad). Why are the numbers down?? That is the question? Having loosing seasons will not help. Just not to sure that it is time for a head coaching change just yet. I am all for turnover in some assistant coaching.

Okay, now lets here the rest of the story. Is Coach Floyd not playing your child enough or is not a starter or she is batting 2nd not 1st? Really what is the problem? Tell us what you are really upset about? We are talking about a coach with no kids involved spending countless hours teaching a sport (without a cert) to young ladies. Didn't see all the problems as he (Coach Floyd) was working to help build the hitting center, etc. The problem is he doesnt care who your daddy or moma is and plays the kids that he feels should play. You would like to see a coach that the system or a few people can controll to achieve his or her own agenda. That's pathetic!

You are right about that, after last season he has done the smart thing. Can any of the sports editors tell us what Taylor's record is? Has he even won 50 games in 11 seasons?

Did Taylor resign? That was the last word around town that it was his last year? Either way I agree new coaches are needed.

No cheering section just can't understand someone jumping on Pedo over his comments. Pedo is on here day in and day out in support for the sports programs. Did you read the boys tread last year? If you think the girls have problems ask Pedo to put Taylor's record on display. The girls coach has won 65 games in 5 years I would say Taylor has not or is close in 10 or 11 years. He finally is resigning. I do agree CC has the talent that is in other sports and will not play for the current coach.

Now cricket this one I will have to agree with. What does it take to hire a coach? Maybe they are waiting for all the candidates to withdraw and it is the last man standing?

You should apply with coach t to monitor all topics and lay down the law to would be violators. He did not put the girl down just stated it as he sees it, so what and he is the one that needs to grow up.

You know what, you are right! We have come a long way from the 1-9,2-8, seasons of oh 5 years ago. This year has turned out to be no more than average. It started as one one of those years to talk about for years to come and ended average for lack of a better word. I think this year has left a lot of people wondering about play calling, game plans, the ability to win the big games.

Looks as if some are wanting to leave, if they are applying at other schools. After the under achieving year maybe would be a good thing to make some changes.

Sounds like you have it all figured out. You just know the right things to say or not say so apply to 1320 and get on the radio and off the message boards. Look pedo does a fine job, maybe gets a little excited for time to time but, in no way is he out to hurt anybody. You make some good points. That is why the games are played and the pre-season picks are just that. The Raiders have a huge test on Friday night and I don't think this will tell if they win or loose in the post season because no one knows how a team will improve over the next 4 games. This is one step in reaching a goal this team has for the year. A post season home game can change alot of things.

Did you look in the stands last night? Seems to me alot of people were there to support the team. I don't agree that we are out manned in many areas. In a few yes but, we have kids that could fill the position if giving the chance. I don't agree with the community not caring about the football team. We travel as good or better than any team we play. The businesses in the community have always been their to lend financial support for the team seems the support is not coming from the school system or school board. The taxes are due to dumb decisions made by the same people we can't get the support from. Look people we won last night this is not basketball, the coaches are as good as coffee county has had in years. The team did a good job and never gave up. Congrats!!!! Lets look forward to next week and fix the problems we have. Go Big Red!!!!

I will have agree that is okay to post what you like on here. It's an opinion board. You stated it right their child then the team. They are very political people that want their child to play at all cost. I think the point is A School Board Member and a employee of the school system should have a little more about them to make a post about politics and Gentlemen's Discussions. The fact that they replied and signed their name must mean that it struck a nerve.
