  1. Good Luck Pujo to you and our beloved Dogs tomorrow night. The Dogs will have the support of the whole community and all surrounding areas tomorrow night. I think it will be a packed house and the cheering will be outstanding!! Goooooooooooo Dawgsssssssssssssss......show your pride and talent ....we are behind you all the way!!!!
  2. Hampton Bulldogs had a great game last night but those young men haven't even shown what they really have. The bulldogs are hungry for a championship and they are pumped. Now I would like to say congrats to Coach Lunsford for leading his dogs to victory last night and congrats to Pujo as well!! With that being said I think Hampton fans need to make a lot of noise this Friday. When the fans are up there cheering it gets the adrenaline going for these Dawgs and it's no telling how many points they will put up with the crowd on their feet yelling and screaming. They need our support, so lets show them how proud we are this coming Friday!!!
  3. Pujo where are you? I would like your thoughts on this. Will the Dawgs pull it off or not?
  4. Pujo thank you very much for the up-dates. You know when school starts back more kids show up. But for the most part I think Coach Lunsford pretty well has his team and from what I hear, all his key players back. He is a good coach and I expect to hear big things about him and Hampton this year. I did hear Logun Shell earned his spot back. Some one emailed me and said he had had surgery in May and wasn't release by his doctor till July 21. Any way keep me posted on Hampton!!! I was looking over the 2007 roster for Hampton and the only big lineman not there right now would be Mario Pahuamba. But you have to stay in shape this day and time to play football. Big doesn't mean strong. Best of luck to your brother Pujo.....I am always rooting for his team!!
  5. Greetings Pujo and congrats to your brother on his new position at Hampton High. It is a toss up this year on who will take it all. Heard your brother picked up another key player this week. Can you share any inside info with us?

  7. For the record It was not I who said JC had dementia. I was not guessing, I was only stating what I overheard at games from parents. Which I plainly stated in my post that I over hear people talking. So do you think some of the kids at Hampton High School hasn't heard this or talked about this? Personally we all know the truth about ourselves so I can't say how JC would feel but I'm not goin' lose sleep over it. There are other parents besides the football players parents talking this. Do not twist my words to suit your pupose. To understand the value of earning respect, it is relatively important to have a good grasp of what the word means. According to Webster's, it is a "high or special regard." It is also "the quality or state of being esteemed." In essence, to be respected, a person must be held in high regard for one reason or another. Those who earn respect, however, generally do not receive this esteem without doing something to gain it. Earning respect is typically based on a person's own abilities, such as a personality trait, characteristic, an action or series of actions. Many say that honesty and trustworthiness are the two keys to earning success in all areas of life. There are many other things, however, that people can do to earn respect from those around them. Whether it is in the community, at work or at home, those who earn respect often have better relationships with those around them.
  8. AMEN dog4life! No truer words have been spoken! It isn't about the team it is all about the individual. Not only are the parents like that but the players as well. I tell you basketball is a cut throat business.
  9. No I did not miss it but anyone who knows Pujo knows he meant no disrespect to JC. As for the next from maxalt sounded like one of Hampton's disgruntled parents. Let's face it Coach Lunsford is a great coach and he is still young. I am thinking of the kids when I say it is what 99% of them want.....they want Coach Lunsford to be their coach.....go ask them.
  10. You are most welcome Pujo! I only tell what is the truth. I know you love your brother and I know you respect JC and it is unfair for others to twist that. I just wish I could get on here and tell who the real back stabbers are.....boy would Coach Lunsford and JC be surprised lol. Unless they are practicing this proverb: Keep your friends close but, keep your enemies closer. Yes you are indeed a friend and a true one at that. I along with you wish all involved the best also.
  11. You forgot to answer the big question....ARE YOU A FAMILY MEMBER OF HUGHES OR WARD??? Are you afraid to answer? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. I must of missed something? Pujo plainly stated Coach Lunsford and JC are the best of friends. Pujo only stated that JC was the head coach and handed down assignments to different coaches. He has only shown respect to Coach Campbell. You say also that JC deserves the up most respect....well I beg to differ with you....he deserves nothing ...you have to earn it!!!! Another thing I would like to point out is this....I see Pujo at all the games Hampton plays, I see lots of fans talking to him and I hear people talking also, they think JC has dementia (such as thinking, remembering, and reasoning) but never once have I ever heard Pujo say a bad word about JC. The only thing I have ever heard him say was JC has forgotten more about football than most of us have ever known...which is true because JC has proven he can coach football. It is mostly the fans and parents who think it is time for JC Campbell to retire. And if you haven't heard that talk at the games then you are standing at the wrong place because everyone is talking about it. As for Coach Lunsford he would not take over as head coach at Hampton High School without Coach JC's blessing. As for the boys on the football team they love Mike and JC both.....I think there is maybe 3 or 4 disgruntled kids (or should I say parents) who want things their way. I will say this on a final note: Let Coach Lunsford not coach next year and see what happens at Hampton High School. To You Parents that want to cripple a football team keep running your mouths!!!
  13. I was talking yesterday with a football player from Hampton High School and he thinks Coach Lunsford will stay at Hampton. But he doesn't think Coach Lunsford will coach....he thinks he will just finish out his teaching career there. This football player knows that Coach Lunsford is tired of all the bull he has to put up with. He told me he would miss Lunsford if he didn't coach and it was doubtful if he would play if Lunsford decides not to return. JC Campbell and Mike Lunsford are indeed very good friends. But I hear from sources inside Hampton High that JC's mind is going and he is very forgetful which is what naturally happens when you get older. POLTICS are a big factor at Hampton High School and just a few unhappy parents who want Coach Lunsford out. I was also told more than once Danny McClain over rode Coach Lunsford's play calls on Friday nights. Maybe the team would be better off with McClain staying at the office and let Lunsford coach the football team.
  14. I was told the coach of Avery County resigned and they want Coach Lunsford. I guess we will have to wait now and see what Coach Lunsford decides. You know Pujo that was one of the things I like most about your brother, he is always willing to go the extra mile for any kid.
  15. You are right: this thread is about where Coach Lunsford will be next year. No matter where he is I wish him the best in what ever he decides to do.
  16. This would not even be up if not for 3 or 4 unhappy parents at Hampton High School, who think their children should be the "stars" of the football team. They think it is their childrens birth right because they "the mighty parents" went to school there and no matter who may be better than their children they will whine and complain to the school board until they get their way. If you think parents do not have power over the coaches in this day and time at some of these county schools then you are out of touch. Yes I do think teaching is a factor of hiring a coach...so what is your point? Coach Lunsford is a teacher correct? My final thoughts on this subject: It is a shame that one man has worked so hard and given no credit for his accomplishments at Hampton High School. A shame that some one else wants the credit for what this man has worked hard to do....which is building a young team back up. I hear he has a great group coming up next year.
  17. I don't think I much like the tone of your reply. Most high schools are interested in Coaches who get the wins on Friday nights reguardless of the methods they use and in my opinion Mike Lunsford is a very successful coach. From what my sources have told me just today, not only is Unicoi interested in Coach Lunsford but serveral high schools in North Carolina are interested in him also. I have also heard from parents at Unaka who would love for Lunsford to take over their football program. I also heard that lots of parents are very interested in his son returning to Cloudland. Coach Lunsford teaches Physical Education and Health and Wellness at Hampton High School.
  18. You are right he does deserve and has earned the right to be head coach. I think he should be the head coach at Hampton High School and in my opinion others should step aside for the good of the football program and let Coach Lunsford do what he does best: COACHING!!!! I do know that Coach Lunsford is being consider for the program at Unicoi.
  19. JC Campbell is still the head coach at Hampton and it is he who should put a stop to this. As for the parents who want to stand on the sideline.....don't you think your kids are old enough to be potty trained by now?? /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" /> I still want to know where will Coach Lunsford be next year?
  20. You are right!! I was wrong in my reply to 96Dog and I apologize for the remark I made. With that being said I have my own reasons for for Coach Lunsford staying at Hampton. I would hate to see him go and it would have a very promising upcoming team hurt. I have had serveral parents to tell me that if Lunsford left their children would not be playing.
  21. Very good one about the locker room at half time. When Hampton played Greenback a parent come from the locker room and told the fans and parents one of the coaches told the players it was over and they might as well get ready for next year. He went on to say three boys walked out of the locker room after this statement was made. The parent who was saying this isn't from Hampton and his son hasn't step foot on the playing field at all for varisty but this parent has been on the sidelines and in the locker room at half time.
  22. I can see you haven't been around many 16 and 17 year old boys. With some of their smart mouths they would make a Saint want to cuss. You got to do whatever it takes!!!
  23. Since you seem to know what you are talking about I would suggest you name the names of these few select parents. Let other parents that don't know all this bs have their say. Coach Lunsford is well thought of by the players on the team. Some say they will not play if he is not the coach. It is a shame that a few select parents with a personal agenda of their own want to cripple Hampton's football program. I also want to put my two cents in here: The fans in the stand are tired of seeing all the parents and kids on the sidelines with the football players. We pay to see the game and it is next to impossible to watch with the McClain's kids and now the Chamber's kid running and playing while the game is going on. There are way too many parents allowed out there also. It is a 3 ring circus for sure at any Hampton game. What happened to home land security? Isn't it the coach's job to keep the kids safe? Some parents get too angry during games. Some parents I have been told don't even have children on the team and yet they are allowed on the field. I think the only ones allowed should be the coaches. I think all parents should get in touch with your school board member and complain about this until something is done.
