I agree with some of the guys on here. Under what circumstances are we grading these kids??? If it is simply standing in the gym and shooting the 3....then many, many high school players could win a vote. Heck even at 26 I could probably stay with most of these kids shot for shot with no D!! Noel Smith (Cheatham) Corey P. (. Dickson Co.), Justin Leonard (Waverly), Trey Smith (McEwen), J. Bailey (Pickett Co.) or Delk Twins (Jackson N.) to name just a few. However if you are talking an all around shooter that can create his own shot and finish with consistancey from anywhere, then that is a different story. If that is the case then my top three would be 1. Corey P Dickson County 2. J. Bailey Pickett 3. Noel Smith....simply because he is prob. the best pure shooter I have seen in 10 years. I know Santa Fe is close to Columbia but obviously one of you goes to Siegal...and I would assume that the others follow suit. I am not partial to any one team. As for the grammar on this message board, Bigwilly has no room to talk. If you are going to give advice and make jokes about people, set an example. Use correct grammar and punctuation yourself. Capitalize sentences (Lol...not lol), use correct spelling (yeah...not yea, McEwen...not mcewen, probably....not prolly), and use correct punctuation (aren't...not arent, he's...not hes). Now that that is out of the way...lay off McEwen. People are on here to talk basketball, and my colleague mactownwarrior was simply trying to get information on an upcoming athletic event. Cordially, grant him his request or don't either way stay away from the "trash" talk. As for the game...McEwen hosted a summer scrimmage with Santa Fe and beat them rather handedly. That is summer league and this is now. McEwen will have to bring their A game night in and night out now that they have entered Christmas break undefeated. That puts a bull’s eye on your head. Your opinion may be correct. My question is this. Why are you on Northside's jock??? Waverly is a lot closer to Camden than Jackson. Oh yeah....the rivalry thing. Well, a rivalry is when both teams in a given sport (basketball being the case here) are relatively even and have great games year in and year out. Camden and Waverly are NOT basketball rivals. With the exception of one....mishap....Waverly has dominated Camden for the better part of 15 years. So as for that give it up. Now that that issue has been resolved. Cheer for Waverly. We came over and supported your football team when they played at home and in Fairview. Turn about is fair play. Also, as for your statement about biting off more than they can chew....you may be right, however, it is called playing quality competition in order to ready yourself for the playoffs. Delk twins, Barbie twins....whoever....Waverly will play this team tooth and nail and when the dust settles still reign over Camden!!!!!!! WHO DO I TRUST???? ME

Great to hear. I went to the Creekwood Vs Waverly game last night instead. A little closer to M-Town than East. With that win the entire county is undefeated. Tigers at 8-0 and the Warriors at 7-0.....Humphreys County 15-0. Pretty impressive. Thanks for the info. I'm the King of Rock, there is none higher. Sucka MC's will call me sire....

Same Old Situation at Waverlywood, excuse me Creekwood tonight. Sorry, just getting used to winning there. Waverly wins. . Too my surprise Creekwood did play close. That is summed up in a famous saying....even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Waverly looked like they were ready for Christmas break. The result is the same Waverly beats Creekwood. Creekwood is Waverly's Vandy. Until CW beats WTown nobody can refute these statements. Wanna See It Rain????? TONY MONTANA

Have you watched one single McEwen game all year??? Puckett isn't even the PG. He helps in press situations and that is all. Joseph Elrod is the PG. Trey Smith is a very capable 6 3 guard that can handle the pressure as well. I'm not saying that McEwen will win the state or anything like that but to assume that they have a fault that will not allow them to get there, and that fault not exist, is ignorant. The blue mist is rolling toward Dickson as I type. Sure would be nice to have a tight game to induce a rivalry....but it is just like Tennessee vs. Vandy. A lot of hype before the game, but when it comes down to it you know who is going to win. WCHS!! Bring your family and children early cause you might want to leave with them when it gets ugly. Waverly is due for a blow out. Creekwood is just the team to get it against. If Waverly shoots the ball well early it will get ugly. Props to Creekwood fans though. They turn out no matter how good or bad their team is. I"M OUT

Nothing. Kicking back and watching some good high school ball. Not coaching because of an new baby girl. Spending QT with the family. Team was not so hot last year....young very young....mostly played 6th, and 7th graders. We went 0-16...Coach K would have been hard pressed to win won there last year. Kids worked hard but it is the old saying about Chicken salad!!!! The talent level has dropped off considerably however it seems to be coming back steadily. We are a small school....even in high school. THis years junior high team is having moderate success. The coach that took over is handling both boys and girls so he is spread thin. He is doing a good job though. The boys are a year older and we all know that that means a heck of a lot. Bigger, quicker, stronger. McEwen has been drilling opponents. They sit currently at 6-0 and seem to be rolling. Is this team for real and how deep will they go in the postseason?? Personally I think the are legit, for several reasons, but wanted other feedback.

Actually the Tigers are 7-0...the Hall of Fame Game is not recognized by the TSSAA as an offical game, therefore, it does not count on the record. Just a little FYI.
