I do have a clue, but the truth is none of this matters, and here is a clue for you, Dyer Co has a good team but they are not great, and if your Choctaws make it past the 1st round, they have big problems,of all six teams that played for state titles last year, Liberty was the best team there.... period, hang on now here's your clue, Liberty will be in the 'boro again this year with all the players that won the title last year. Let's not fret over things like could Humboldt beat DC, save your energy for White House and have fun at the tournament, it was a great accomplishment to get there. Enjoy that! Oh yea, in my dreams Dyer County wins against White House- loses to Liberty- Humboldt wins against... well they win it all. p.s. Been around high school basketball since 1974, I've never seen anything like what Dyer County shows up with. Very impressive!! And no I'm not from Dyer County.

Union City, ..... Dyer County fans shouldn't try to compare any team they have to play against Union City, cause believe it or not DC, if it was possible to play it right now and both DC and UC were at their best, UC would win by 15-20.

Nice to see you LC's come out and support your neighbors in DC, but DC can't win in the end, they have a good team but Liberty lies in wait. Blake carried DC all the way to the tournament last night, he can't hold em up but about 1 more game, then the guys from Jackson take over. Sorry DC fans, I wish you the best.

I went and watched Class AA Dyer County and Booker T Washington in the sub-state last night, Humboldt most likely beats either of these teams by 7- 10 points, (Dyer Co. won by 2). Good Luck to you Wartburg, but I'll have to take Humboldt since they are the represenative from district 14A.

Good Luck to Wartburg Central, i have family who live there and are grads of the school. I don't know anything about your basketball program, but have seen Humboldt play 3 times this year. Prepare for Epperson and Sain down low, they are forces down there. Epperson can not shoot a lick from anywhere but under the basket but he will get alot of putbacks. If you know how to block out, work on it some more or the rebound stats will look like your Jr High team playing the Dallas Mavericks. Sain is a big man who is capable of domination, but is not aggressive enough nor in good enough shape for this time of year. The rest of the team are very good players who are fast and can shoot the 3 or blow by you for a layup.Humboldt will not quit, just ask anyone who is a fan of last years State Champion Union City team and ranked #1 most of this season, who Humboldt defeated in the Region 7 Semis. Very fast, athletic team who can put up alot of points if they are on. You got to take it to them, some time the defense they play can be exploited. Be ready for anything and everything. Yea bigster, i know what our coach back in the old times would have done if anyone would have taken shots like that, not only would they be on the bench getting an earfull of it, they might have been sent to the bus. The boys just didn't look concerned that they were blowing the best chance for the Falcons to play in the State tournament since 1979. You gotta get focused for everybody at tourney time. There were 2 focused teams on the floor last night who wanted the win, they both got it. Good Luck to both.

Humboldt was on a mission and handled everything Union City had for them, Union City tried to play under the basket with them and Epperson and Sain shut that down, Lake County could not have played any worse, with the game in hand they did not take care of the ball, Yancy drove to the basket and shot layup after layup and LC just let it happen. Peabody deserved to win, but if Humboldt stays focused the Golden Tide get a road trip in Sub-state. Humboldt looked like the best team in A ball, at least for last night. Congtats to both teams, go out and show everyone how extremely tough it is to play in 14A. I don't think the rest of the teams left have any inkling.... yet.

I watched this game slip away from the Falcons with less than 2 minutes to go with a 6 point lead. They shot some of the most ridiculous shots ever and they were awful looks. Kill the clock, call a timeout and tell them to stall it for a while. But you are right, Peabody deserved to win. Congrats to Humboldt for a great game and making my prediction come true. Humboldt doesn't fold tonight under any circumstance... although i would like to see a 4th game between the 2 best teams in the state (Lake Co & UC), I'll take the Vikings by 3. It's going to be very difficult to beat any team of their caliber again UC fans, sorry Tornados, it's time for you to leave us now. Falcons over the Tide by 11 tonight. Have you ever in your entire life seen Union City, Lake Co. or Humboldt. If Cully makes it, they along with you will see the show. Buy a good seat cause somebody, maybe 2 teams from district 14 are coming to TCB, and it doesn't really matter which one, middle tn is in some trouble

But aoc then people would be ragging on the LC 's like they do the UC's. Just not good basketball. Especially when your depth runs out at about 7 players. Rest for the 6 or 7 players LC will be using from here on is very important and I think Whitby realizes it may be a tough run starting with Peabody on Tuesday. UC has good fortune when depth is the factor that it always is this time of year. Oh yea in case you missed it I was talking about Wille S.

Can any one over there hang with UC, Lake Co or Humboldt out of District 14/ Region 7A ? They are all very athletic, fast paced teams who defend all over the floor. UC has scored 130 points on a Trenton team who are playing for a birth in the region finals. Humboldt and LC can play with UC. Just want to know what these teams might be looking at when the time comes.
