I just wanted to but in here if I may, Don't want to offend no one. I know what you are trying to say. {from experience}I watch a lot of ball especially 7a & aa girls. I have a interest in it due to alot of my friends kids play in this area not just one school. I had the chance this last ball season meeting several good players and their families that work as hard if not harder than what you call the outstanding players. The reason they have to work at it harder is some are born with natural talent and some have hidden talent. They have to work harder for it to show. Jc for example {i feel they will agree with this} they had your star players but if it wasn't for the bench and them working as a team combining all talents they would have never went as far as they did! It is natural and easier for a coach to favor or seem to favor a naturally talented player than one that needs work.{thats what an assistant coach is for} I agree that there is a -1 talent being overlooked or not giving the attention they need. That is the fan's responsiblity also, due it respectfully, but when they hit the floor to play let them know how you feel about them. Make some noise. I went up to a girl that JC played against and beat and told her she was a good player and did a good job out there. You would have thought I smacked her in the face, she stood thier for a minute and then laughed and said thanks. Just because you lost the game doesn't mean you didn't play well just circumstance of coaching,plays, team not on the same page. Ball games are won by teams not single players and that is what I told her. The kid's mother came up to me later and thanked me for cheering up her kid. Try it sometime won't kill ya and why not? That's how I think ya let the underated kids know how they did. JMHO....My explanation to these kid's is that it is like a motor some have more important parts but it won't run {let's say a coil,power pac...} unless all the parts are there and each kid on the team is a part of that motor..I have had to have this speech for the last four years I think it finally got thru... She has continued to work hard and gave herself a tuneup. There has been a few statements on here about academics in school. I went to JC graduation this year. One of the best one's yet I have been to, There were five seniors off the girls team this year that graduated. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but all five seniors where in top five in thier class and I do know this that Dyer was at the top and there is a good story behind it. A fellow student and her have swapped back and forth thru the years of having top grades and at graduation they shared the top spot with a story of the competition they have had between them over the years even in academics. When it was at the end they put the competition of who was better aside and shared it together. So for someone to say that sports are put before academics in 7a need to do research. I don't know personally about other schools but i can say this for JC's athletic department academics is important and it shows! I do know that the girls that graduated from JC are going on to college and if you don't have the grade's you can't get there. Only one that i know of is continuing to play sports. Smart students make Smart players and Smart players play smart games.......GOLD BALL!!!!!! I am sure that other players are in the top of their grades, one thing you forget you have to make the grades to play. The school system sets high standards for the athelete's and I know first hand they stick to it to.....I don't have a dog in this race but would like to let you know how important academics are in JC....Excuse any misspelling of words and comments I have made.....I didn't finish school /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> I got my GED!!! Years down the road...

I wondered the same thing and with the trinitron showing pics of them shooting and the much bigger crowds. I wanted to ask some of the players the same thing. No way am i saying the outcome of any game would have changed but some of the real good teams I have heard about through the season seemed to have had trouble making their shots fall. I did not have the pleasure of seeing some of these teams play but got the low down from the paper and fan supporters and of course on here. Just wondering if it made a difference too!! I quess it comes down to a mental game of who can block what out and adjust..

Well, two of the best teams in the state meet up again, One will be the best team in single A tomorrow....The only thing I know is the uppercumberland was and Is well represented...Very proud of both teams accomplishments.. They have played well coached and very talented teams to get to this point. Now, it is time to see the best side of these players and the rivalry between these two teams will come out tomorrow without a doubt...Which ever brings the GOLD BALL HOME DO IT WITH PRIDE AND DIGNITY AND RESPECT FOR YOUR FELLOW TEAM MATES. They are some great athletes on these two teams and both well deserving!! GOLD AND SILVER COMES TO 7A...

Just wanted to tell wayne county girls they played a good game and They have alot of talent, well coached ball club...It was a great game to watch... I was impressed tough team Good Luck to ya next year..May God Bless Ya!!! From a JC fan!!!!
