Agreed. If McMinn Central is fortunate to get the win over Polk, I do believe their chances significally go up to get that state opportunity. Polk Co. has a pretty good squad and will defintly give all they have. I cannot reply on GP so I cannot say.

McMinn Central vs. Polk Co. - Central won first meeting and lead up to 30 points before subbing and sustaining 20 point win. 2nd meeting was a little tighter as MC had an off shooting night. Central will be the favorite. Gatlinburg Pittman vs. Alcoa These two have split and I believe last outing GP routed Alcoa, however this will be a tight one, and I will give a slight edge to GP. McMinn Central has beaten Alcoa 2 times, but both good games.

I'm with you on that one. TSSAA is missing a big gate by having these teams travel. I feel that there should a provision to make this happen.

I like Sweetwater over Polk in a close one. The match up is so close. Central vs. Brainerd is a toss up to me as well, If Central can get hot, this could potentially be an upset. Im taking CSAS in a tight one, but Meigs is good at home. Tyner in a big way. With best player out, Kingston will struggle to find points.

Tough task for sure, sub-state will be tough. Central is the favorite in region, but Tellico played them tough for one half. If Central girls can play on level they played from half way through third and fourth quarter, they will be in Murfreesboro.

The only region first round game I see your district winning is Polk. However, this one will not be a gimmie for Polk. Kingston can create problems if they are hitting from the perimeter. Tellico has played Central tough, and have a formula to stay in the game. I think if Central plays to potential, Tellico will have trouble with them tonight, if Central plays poorly, Tellico has a punchers chance. Either way, it has been a pretty good season for district 2 AA this year.

Pretty sure they played at King's academy. Yes, they for sure will help them through the remainder of the season.

We actually beat Alcoa both games, but they are a tough bunch.

It's not going to be easy. Tellico played Central close last night for 3 quarters, then the depth that was spoken of came into play. Alcoa and GP, who imo will be the sub-state matchups our region will be facing, are really solid ball teams.

This has been tight this year. Sweetwater, Central, Meigs, or Kingston have the potential to beat each other any given night. Gonna be interesting.

Central girls are starting to look like the group I thought they would, playing well right now. In my opinion, it would be a huge upset Friday. It is for sure a huge game for both teams.

Yes, Meigs could very well be in the hunt for that substate bid. Central girls have started out slow in their last few games, but finishing very strong. I look for Friday to be a more competitive game, however i think the pace, depth, and centrals pressure will be the difference in the rematch.

I agree, it is unfortunate that one of these teams will be eliminated before state.

We have played them 2 times. 1st game we won by around 9pts. 2nd game closer to 20. I know they are getting some girls back in Feb. that will be able to contribute.

Can anyone share info about this game. I knew Alcoa had the potential, but this one surprised me a litlle.
