Good luck to the Bees Friday night, pick up where you left off last year

You are probably right but every high school coach that is committed to the school and the program has a vested interest in what is coming up and going on with the programs that feed into them. I am speaking from what I see here in our community our head coach is at every game and attends as many practices as his schedule allows to help the coaches teach the kids his system

Doesn't sound good for the lions at any level of football does the head coach of the high school team not have any input or work with the younger coaches at all?

Coach loftis has the blue devils playing hard every play if the lions stop the run they have a shot at the road victory

So with this being said is the present coaching staff or just that the students at Cannon County don't want to play, if that's the case need to look on the inside first before you fix the outside

Jar2h- Seems like to me the football team has the best possible situation with having those kids all under one roof at the younger ages, they can install there system, offense and defense at young ages and develop them up to there high school careers and then fine tune it, so not real sure where the problem would be is it the coaching in the younger ages or your high school coaches

Not sure about the whole support team but when our high school team played there last year they were 1-8 at the time and they had a very good crowd form what I can remember, so it looks like the support is there. The basketball issue is what it is but if they win and put good products on the floor they should not be punished for that. Jealousy is a bad thing

Wow did not know that, that option is better than not being allowed to have a program at all, does basketball have that same option

Jar2h- doesn't Cannon County have a middle school fb team, our middle school played them last year.

The football program will never be dropped. Basketball has been and always will be the big sport in Woodbury but that's the fault of no one just the dynamics. Football does not need to worry about going toe to toe with basketball but make and create there own image

Thats what it looks like there. Starts with either a mad parent, or a former parent whose kid no longer plays or has transferred and then just grows. How is the hog-eye looking?

Congrats to Livingston Academy for there win, and also to Grundy County for playing a well-fought game. But, MTNMAN 80 before you get on here about officals like you laways do when you guys come play District 8-AA, please be wise and know, that when you get to the Region the officals are sent from another area of the state. Therefore there is no possible way that any team in the Upper Cumberland area has any officals in there back pocket. Good luck to both teams Sat!!!!

I agree gc pioneer and I am throwing the soph abbey sissom as the third. Watched her at state tourney last year and seen her some this year very good player.

Going to be very interesting this year, Livingston and Upperman have ruled this thing since Jackson County left, Cannon County should be good again, and better watch for York, they may surprise a lot of people this year. If the Lady Tigers can find a pt guard they will be tough to work with also with Webb back, but we will see only a couple of months away

Oh Kitty Kitty, I love Dc basketball just as much as you i am sure just I dont get radio and court side seats. But to say Coach Cope is district coach of the year, is a little ealry, they have only won one district game and have struggled in others. Yes they are getting better but the real caoch of the year is the person who gave us this great schedule of non-district games this season. Yes the lady tigers are better but I am not just sold on this deal yet, only time will tell.

What does everyone think about this Friday's upcoming games: Game of the Night I would think: Cannon County at Livingston Dekalb County at York Smith County at Cumberland County

Forrest and Cannon County will be a good game, both teams are playing well. I will give the edge to Forrest right now by 9.

I agree with the last two posts: Livingston will win handily vs York 25 + at least Smith County and Trousdale will be a close game, SC by 5 Upperman will name the score vs Dekalb. Dekalb is improved but not that improved yet.
