I hope GB runs it down their throat!!!!!

The GB team may be unselfish but their head coach sure is not. Whether he be unable, inept, or just plain too selfish to make adjustments to his game plan or who he plays beats the crap outta me! There's an elephant in the room folks. Everybody sees it except for those wearing their rose colored glasses.

That was the worst half of football I've seen Greenback play all year. I hope some adjustments are made at the half and that they're the right ones!

there were 1700 tickets sold at the Greenback -Oneida game Halloween night. Take th eplayers, coaches, coach families and passes - maybe a little closer to 2000

I agree it was a little too much - but to be honest - there's not a lot of excitement in Greenback. It was a big game for us. I wasn't on Oneida's side nor did I have a truck pulled up to the fence - so I can't speak for them - but I would hope that they behaved themselves. I do know that we handed out candy to several trick or treaters, including kids from Oneida and I was tickled to death that they came and had a little bit of Halloween. One bad fan makes us all look bad and unfortunately that's the taste that sticks in your mouth. I remember playing basketball up at Oneida in 1991 and this older man told me I stunk. I'll never forget that - but it was him not Oneida. Hey HuntDawg! You need to get to bed - you've got church tomorrow hehe!

Lets make this loud and clear - GB has played 12 ballgames. There was only one where a player made the decision to "flip our fans off" yes a mistake but a sad fact there was only one ballgame where a player started throwing punches this all happened last night and you weren't there? Not sure where they got that roster - it even confused me. 9 fresh / 9 soph / 6 jr / 18 sr i assure you the h.s. grads didn't play - but out of curiosity - what year is amos and is it true he doesn't attend Grace?

I'll tell you one thing - a lot of people would love to see Satterfield back at Greenback - our program still misses him. Give him some time - we're just glad to see him back in the area. As far as The LL Football teams - the only thing that has hurt them has been the FORMING of these middle school teams. Just leave these programs alone - Just let the kids play and have fun and not get burnt out before High School Ball

As a parent of two small boys I especially liked #5 Williams flipping us all the bird at the 20 yard line closest to the scoreboard. Thanks for showing us all your true colors and I wonder which class is it they teach "how to shoot a bird" in at your Christian School? We game to play ball and leave it on the field - you threw punches and were escorted from the field - we did win the game - but we're even bigger winners in character than you'll ever be. Go Kees! By the way - our back up QB was in the game with 4:34 left in the game. Stop crying - you beat Oakdale 61-20, doesn't feel good does it??

Ya know - this is just the way it should be - two respectable classy programs with a winning history and a friendly competition. Greenback may be playing without two players - but we are still Greenback. Oneida has a wonderful football program and it will be hard but not impossible. Grace Christian Academy beat Greenback High School tonight in the region 2A championship, but lost their witness to Christians and the unsaved in the process. From their cheerleaders talking about the "ugliness of Greenback girls" to the adults holding their noses while looking at the kids from Greenback while they cheered on their team. Apparently only gca can cheer. Don't blame the kids they get it from their parents. I was told to get in my hick car and drive to my hick town and get back to my hick life, well I did just that. I'll take my REDNECK gang anytime. With all your money - GO BUY SOME CLASS!!!! Have fun with hampton - they're more country bumpkin than we are!! Reckon we can't spell either!!

Didn't say it would happen, just said it'd be a good idea. Those gals going on to play college ball will have to make the adjustment anyway and it takes some getting used to.

Please don't quote me, but if there is separation ( ans I can't remeber how much ) but the five second count resets itself. It may be 2 or 3 feet, I can't remember. Good refs know this. The caliber of refs are not good at all anymore evrywhere! i think a shot clock is a wonderful idea - our community is thinking about putting in our rec leagues for the children!

If only I had a dollar for every time I've heard that one!! Unfortunately Gleason took Kayla K. completely out of her game and without her O.S. didn't stand a chance - I'm really surprised O.S. gave up so easily and quite disappointed, I thought they were better than that and that they were better coached than that. I bet they wish they had this one back.

I was talking about current players, not from 15 years ago!

How many of these ladies go on to play basketball in college, i.e., SEC, Div 1, Jr College, etc? I know that Pat Head Summitt hasn't recruited many local girls except for McMahan out of Maryville. Just curious.

I played basketball for the Greenback Lady Cherokees in 1993 and had the PRIVELEGE of travelling to Shelbyville to get absolutely pounded by their ladies. It was my most memorable game where we got our butt kicked haha. Just to be there amongst them, their coach, their gym, their fans, their town - I was in awe. They deserve any media attention they get and am proud to have a program of their caliber in my home state of Tennessee!
