i know for a fact that if my coach heard me cuss he wouldnt say 'give him a break'. id be on the sidelines getting put in my place.

very, very heated game. well played though by both teams. mba controlled the second half, while bga, for the most part, controlled the first. the official, in my opinion, lost control of the game and i think both sides will agree with that. a well fought game, hope we get to see MBA in regionals b/c they are a very good team. like i said earlier, i believe houston is one of the top 2 players in state and i feel that he played very well tonight. great player. good luck to MBA.

should be a good game as always. houston oldham, in my opinion, is one of the top 2 players in the state. max jerrell is always tough to get by not only being a good player but his size. it should be a good one.

jp2 is a very good team that, from what it sounds like, came out flat. they drew Ryan tonight 0-0, but from what i understand it was impossible for either team to possess due to poor field conditions. i'd put my money down on jp2 bouncing back real soon.

i was pretty surprised when i saw the score. i checked it on a couple different websites to make sure it wasn't a typo. middle tn fire must be pretty legit to beat a good jp2 team like that.

BGA beat Grissom(AL) 2-1 yesterday (4/4). first half was average ending at 0-0. but BGA came out in the second half and really found their stride netting 2 quality goals. grissom's goal was scored in the last two mins from a communication error in the back.

I cant offer much on idependence as we dont play them for another week or so. But brentwood is a solid team but a little vulnerable. They're attack is pretty solid and there aren't much worries there, but their defense is suspect. They have some solid players back there but it seems like communication is an issue at times. This is probably a minor problem that Brentwood will iron out as the season goes on.

bga @ riverdale is cancelled. hopefully the weather will allow the BGA v Franklin game to be played tomorrow night.

the juniors on crush like wilky and mishu are very good. those 2, for sure, are quality players. id be interested to know if, in fact, IU is recruiting mishu. i knew he'd be looked at by some quality schools, but congrats to him if he is getting IU's attention.

hes the only junior in the state of tn that has a chance of going to IU period. like catboy said, not many people get recruited by IU. you have to be the cream of the crop.

ever heard of daniel kelly from hendersonville? yeah id say he was a pretty amazing player. he's doing pretty good things at IU and, not to mention, the youth national teams.

i cant say for sure whether that is true or not. i, personally, expect him to be getting looks from those caliber schools though. i know that indiana coaches have contacted his coach while he was at BGA. beyond that, i cant say.

i would say mba and jp2 are the teams to beat in that region with bga and Ryan close behind. MBA has a lot of players returning, especially Houston Oldham who signed with richmond. he will be the impact player on that team. JP2 has a lot of talent returning, as well. BGA lost Steve Morrissey and Ryan lost Charles Rodriguez, two very good players, but dont count them out for a second. should be an interesting season.

bristol from centennial hands down. incredible athletic ability. if he straightens up and stays out of trouble like someone already noted, he could go somewhere big to play college ball.

3/12 BGA @ Riverdale 3/13 Franklin @ BGA

BGA 2 McCallie 2 evenly played match for the most part. very few legit opportunities for both teams, but both did well on cashing in on the good chances they did get.

watching the BGA-MUS game from last night from a BGA perspective, i can honestly say MUS is certainly capable of winning state. they are right up there with the 3 remaining teams from middle TN. i believe they will give MBA a very good game. MBA-24 MUS-21

as much as i dont like admitting this, BA will win this game. ensworths inability to throw the ball and create a balanced offense will hurt them. BA's d-line is extremely good, probably the most effective part of the team. yes, ensworth can run the ball with jefferson and darkwa but i'd be very surprised if BA's d-line isn't able to slow them down or stop them all together. BA-28 Ens.-14

i play club with sherrod and jonah so ive seen them play consistently and ill be the first to say they are two of the best. very diff styles, but both are very effective when it matters most. it might be true that mark doesnt play the top level teams, but he is a very good finisher against some of the top teams in region 3 during club. i've said it before and i'll say it again, stephen morrissey gets my vote for top player. the work he does off the field away from games is what makes him that good. he is as determined as any player ive seen. he's gonna raise eyebrows at SC.

personally, my vote goes to my boy steve morrissey. it's obvious that he is an excellent player but what sets him apart is his work ethic. he is always trying to better himself no matter what the situation is. he's gonna do well at SC. haha 'i am the best player'.

not trying to take anything away from riverdale b/c they were the better team that night, but i dont think the score reflects how the game was played. there was a questionable pk call by the official and an own goal caused by miscommunication. however, i will say james holt played lights out in goal b/c bga had their chances. bga will be missing a few players but i still think it will be an interesting game to watch.
