  1. i will agree to agree as well... good match to see
  2. Riverdale has to drop. depending on what ranking you read they have 3 or 4 losses. They have to drop out of eurosportscoreboard top 11, and fall pretty far in the mjhub's as well
  3. Gallatin: 26 goals for, 2 against, Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 46-30-18. record 6-1-0 Hendersonville: 14 goals for, 6 against, Combined W-L-T record of Opponents: 33-26-11, record 4-1-1 Common opponents Cookvile and Rossview... Gallatin gave up 0, Hville 2 let the stats say what they will, with Hville's past they are certainly weak in the back... TJ is in the middle, where as he has been the starting center back since Nathan Oliver left. With the takent Hville has to draw from there is no reason why they shouldn't be solid, but this year Plummer has some work to do. Not saying they are not a top notch team in TN... but i think Gallatin may have this one, even with the totall lack to talent they have to work with. i know its April, but every game counts.. and hville aready has a district loss.
  4. Gallatin will take this one. Although no game vs. Hville i see Gallatin winning the tourny based on the points system b/c Gallatin will give up fewer goals. Both teams will come out with a perfect record, but h'ville is not too srtong across the back. Gallatin takes the plaque, just like the 04 when Gallatin won the first ever "Field of Dreams" H'ville classic.
  5. Gallatin will be a test, be prepared.
  6. how can eurosport scoreboard have gallatin behind mo. west. gallatin beat them head to head, and gallatin has the better record period
  7. Knox west has a great mid... espically #3... and they play on a small, football field...and know how to use to use the small space... i question their ability if you put them on a big field away from east TN.
  8. Several ideas have been shared that are correct, while many have been totally off base. The flat back 4 is truly never FLAT... there is always supposed to be a center back who is in control and allowed to be the deepest and in charge of keeping the others in line with him with they step up. It is not a intended to be a offside trap persay... it lends it self to making it easy to catch teams off, but the idea is to stay somewhat even and limit the amout of space you give the attackers. It is always better to have experienced players, but any GOOD coach can teach the 4-4-2 with a little exposure to the correst way of running it. The major ideal is keeping the defense connected with the mid field, if the D stays deep and dosen't step up the other team easly wins balls that get through the mid... with the D stepped up it gives you plenty of support through the middle. Also having skilled fullbacks always helps b/c they are able to help in switches in the attack, and that gives another attacker to help the offense. So like others have said, it takes skill, but a good coach can teach it to anyone. Through balls do not beat the flat 4 b/c if its run right they are easly stopped by center backs coming across to cut them off or smart keepers knowing when to step up and win the ball. When run as intended it is the most offensive/defensive formation b/c its allows for support to both attack and defense with completely sacrificing one or the other.
  9. Knox West was good, but Gallatin gave them a game. Put that game on a real field and i think Gallatin comes away with it.
  10. Gallatin record for tourny 2-1 Knox West on friday night was a joke, playing on a football field is just stupid... thats not real soccer. From experience i know Gallatin plays on a huge field and most of Mid Tn has actual fields to play the soccer games on. It was obvious they had to adjust and never really over came the small field. The score was 2-1, but the Knox West goals were great goals scored by #3 (i think).. he was soild all night. Gallatin beat Mo. west 1-0 (played much better on a REAL field) good game by both sides. Some great saves by Gallatin keeper. Gallatin beat McMinn Co. 2-0... best game of the weekend for G. finally started knocking the ball around, using space, making runs. Two great goals, one off a perfect corner kick headed in by Jimmy. Soild defense, keeper saved PK that never should have been called.

Gallatin waxed Mt. Juliet 6-0 last night
  12. Gallatin held its tourny last weekend.. HHS in always in the tourny but they never play gallatin. GHS, HHS, Cookville, Rossview were the teams involved. Gallatin won 5-0 over Roosview, and 2-0 over Cookville. HHS tied Cookville, adn beat Rossview 4-1. Gallatin won the tourny based on best record and points. After watching the whole tourny id say that if the two teams played today Gallatin would take it. HHS is not playing like you would expect a Hendersonville team to play. Gallatin looks good, real good considering what they have to work with. Should make for an intresting post season to say the least.
  13. where will alll these games be played?
  14. Gallatin is 3-0 beat White House 7-0, Cookeville 2-0, Rossview 5-0 thats the same Cookville that Hendersonville tied and the same Rossview that HHS only beat 4-1
  15. Gallatin has played 3 games, scored 14 goals and given up 0 wins over White House, Cookeville, and Rossview

  17. No it was not a joke. Yes Jimmy Chamjock is gallatin's best player, that obvious. The guy up top who helps alot of what jimmy does ever start is Ethan Ingham. I don't know what you have against him or how well you know him but from what i've seen he is a staple in an always not-so talented team that just works harder. So no not a joke, an in my opinion a great player.
  18. Another top player in state.... Ethan Ingham, Gallatin. Been watching and noticing him full some time in the summer county soccer scene. Just a junior but with tons of expereince out of the hendersonville select prgrams. also with ties to famed hendersonvilee soccer, he plays at GHS which is in the same region as HHS, make it tough to get past region, but always a good run. So he is a standout and a team player, which is full of guys with not nearly the talent or experience. Seems to get over looked being so close to the oone of the big names in high school soccer. However, great leader and better player. Happens to be GHS football standout as well.
