  1. not too sure if burns will be able to play friday against bearden...he took a couple of bad blows, aggervating his ankle. we'll hope for the best
  2. just curious paul...but are you affiliated w/SD....or just a spectator?
  3. goh i wish we could've played 4, 5, and 6. (south doyle)
  4. i sure as heck hope your name isn't compatible with what you were doing today around 2oclock.....
  5. yeah...i think south doyle may have been looking in the future a bit too far. There's no way the shot count was 11 to 6 by the way. probably a lot more like south doyle 20+ to seymour 5. doyle is definitely having some trouble finishing at the moment. getting plenty of chances, but not putting them away. SD is also currently having trouble playing down to their opponent's level, they are bad about this. of course seymour deserves plenty of credit...making save after save and hanging in there. they always get fired up against SD, and practically base their whole season around that one game. hopefully doyle can overcome their drout of not finishing well when friday rolls around. oh and doyle got an absolutely TERRIBLE red card call when seymour's keeper and doyle's player went up for a cross...clearly a 50-50 ball shoulder to shoulder and no one w/control. not blatant or dirty in the least bit. both players hit the ground and were back up in a second looking for the ball. terrible call and means SD will have yet another starter out for bearden game.
  6. One of SD's key defenders will be out due to freak appendix surgery. we'll see if it makes doyle more susceptible to goals...i myself think doyle will be alright and step up to the challenge
  7. I'm going to have to go with my boy Patrick Mclemore from Doyle. Good luck sneaking one passed him, cause this kid's about 6'4" and got reflexes like a cat. Plus he's my cousin...BALLER. Also, B-Walk from bearden is very talented in goal. He's not your average goalie that plays goal because they aren't as good in the field or (fail in the field so to speak)...he obviously didn't resort to goalkeeping cause of lack of soccer skill. i think he is the athletic type that would be useful out in the field as well...and that rarely happenes. good luck to both teams for rest of year. they will meet this friday @ bearden, should be a good one.
  8. Seriously...i speak for the whole team. we wish we had a much tougher schedule.however, our new coach prides himself in "W"'s. Not all bad comes from it, but I do wish we played tougher teams to prepare ourselves better for later on down the road.
  9. there's no way pigeon forge, carter, or seymour should ever be in the top 10
  10. Hink is my boy...what a great player....rip
  11. gay topic...no one cares. JV player for SD made this
  12. ill just go ahead and jump on the complaint banwagon. i thought last week the comments informing you on SD's stats would be enough to get us somewhere, but clearly they didn't. I realize we aren't the most acclaimed school and aren't always the best team, but don't ignore just cause of lack of recognition. let record/stats do it for themselves. I also understand our strength of sched. isn't crazy, and i speak for the whole team...we wish it was. we have a brand new coach that doesn't really know what's going on. i would love to play the caks, catholics, and webbs, cause frankly i think we would win. hopefully next week we can be found on a list amongst or even above a team we man-handled. as for now, we'll let our play speak for itself and beating bearden won't hurt much either.
  13. go look on prepxtra.com..........our district is EXTREMELY stacked this year. As of now, here is the top 5 1. farragut 2. bearden 3. south doyle 4and5. winner of sevier county/maryville Alot of the games are still yet to be played though(about halfway through season) and mark your calenders for april 27th for south doyle vs. bearden....if SD wins, 3-way tie for first.
  14. keeping was the difference of this game...bottom line. secondary was defense, where bearden also won the battle, maybe because farragut had injuries or maybe not. farragut definitely controled the game...but got caught up in the bearden style of kicking and running on at times instead of playing their game. while bearden didnt have as much possession, they made up for it off counters, where they almost always had a good chance on goal. bearden did a good job w/holding farragut out of too many ligitimate scoring opportunities. yet another great matchup this year as both teams are very talented. props to backstrom, that goal was NICEEEEEEE!
  15. who scored and how for each team?
  16. Is this game on Friday as well?? I am also going to have to go w/West on this one. Having played both, west has more talent and fitness. Maryville may be able to hold them off for a little while, but they will get tired and allow some goals. west's midfield(middle and outside) will be the difference in the game and result in a west 3-0 victory.

    Games

haha...probably won't want to waste your time with next year. we mighhhhht not be the biggest contendors, as we have 13 seniors this year.

    Games

south doyle would love to play webb (preferably at webb's field haha) but i'm not sure about the 15 games rule and if we're full or not...let me know if interested.
  19. i know we're pretty low on the radar...but south doyle deserves a little cred for record so far for the year. either finishing 2nd or 3rd in their district most likely...and not the easiest district some may say. cmon now.... bearden/south doyle 4/27 is also a BIG game
  20. west possesses better and plays better soccer "on paper", whereas bearden only kicks and runs onto for fastbreaks. i think west's D will be alright and hold onto a 1-0 vic.
  21. i think aaron doyle of farragut couple of years ago was capable...but he went to small college to punt and play soccer i think. also, radcliffe of bearden went to UAB awhile back.
  22. as a spectator of the SD/maryville gaem...i was very impressed w/south doyle's savy and their ability to capitalize on opportunities. shocking to most predictions and speculations, south doyle absolutely dominated play the full 80 min. center mid johnson scored halfway through 1st half and sparked SD, where they continued to dominate play into the second half, scoring twice off 2 quick headers by mitchell. i was disappointed with all the hype given to maryville to say the least...or else the underestimation of a much stronger SD. However, to prevent the shut out...maryville did score in the last 30 sec of stoppage time...which would make my earlier prediction perfect haha. maryville's midfield is good, but D and attackers struggle...should be a good battle for top 4 of district this year. What was final score to Webb/CAK??
