  1. thanks for the farragut score...can anybody recap it?
  2. anybody know how the Farragut/SD game is goin??
  3. they hit it right at them. bad luck i guess. and i heard the kid that started for farragut struggled with strikes and had only pitched one previous inning the whole season against bartlett in the warrior classic. that's a tough situation to be put in with not much experience facing the best team in the state. but , i bet it was a good learning for him. overall though, farragut looked really solid this weekend. they had 50 something hits coming into the champ. game
  4. i'm sorry but farragut's field is better than WB's...and if Farragut's field is so small, why havent there been many homeruns this year by opposing teams?
  5. yeah 12-2. cade stallings is a beast and bearden couldnt throw a strike.
  6. well it's rainin really hard over here in Farragut right now...hope that doesnt affect the big game tomorrow..
  7. i think farragut is 2nd, followed by either bearden or WB? im not 100 percent sure though
  8. bryce brentz is the hardest i've seen. the kid throws 90-91 and hit 93 during the farragut game. the kid throw's straight gasss.
  9. that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. clearly SD has the best team right now, but look for teams like WB, Farragut, and Maryville down the road
  10. i never said they didn't care. sure it wouldve been nice to win that game, but in the big scheme of things, it really doesnt matter because it's an early game. farragut is still second in the district and they will do very well in the tournament.
  11. Bartlett game- Jr. Hunter Newby for 6, and So. Sam Thomas for 1. Riverdale game- So. Jordan Cooper for 5, Jr. Shane Glarrow for 2. Collierville game- Sr. Jordan Pleasant for 6, Jr. Matt Ramsey for 1. Oakland Game- Jr. Chris Hatfield for 5 1/3 and Jr. Ryan Burnette for 1 2/3 We used mainly our 4, 5, 6 guys this weekend as we have 2 district games this week (Lenior City, and Bearden)
  12. first of all, i don't even go to farragut anymore, i just have a cousin on the team. and you bring up a great point. they do win with class and lose with class. i'm not trying to start anything im just giving my opinion. and i will agree with you that Bartlett, Oakland, and Collierville have great programs. Riverdale has good talent, but they have no class whatsoever. When Farragut played them they were yelling cuss words (in english and spanish.. they must have a good spanish teacher) at our second baseman, and our pitcher when he was leaving the game. the coaches didn't say anything to them about it and i can't really call that an excellent program when you have so little class as that.
  13. yes i agree with you on some things. like bartlett's whole lineup top to bottom is tough. and they can all hit. their shortstop is very good. but you can't just rely on hitting to win games. their pitching wasn't very strong and neither was oaklands ...and i wanted to see the lexington catholic game but we had a game at the time so but oh well...i got to see oakland's centerfielder who run's a 6.3-60 and can hit with the best of them. he's goin to tennessee...it would be fun to see them on the same team
  14. oh i guess this connor guy always hits homeruns on change up's at his feet and away? and i never said zurcher's plays were a fluke if i remember correctly. the game was at the beginning of the year. and frankly that's why farragut is the best, because they don't concern themselves with where theyre at in march. it's all about may and the playoffs and that's when all the other teams start to tire and farragut is at their best
  15. i think it's funny how every team that beats farragut celebrates like they just won the world series. i'm sorry but bartlett and oakland just aren't that impressive. farragut is on the brink of being a very good ball club. the three games they lost this weekend were because of mental mistakes and errors. they did have a great outing against collierville and their ace (pomeranz). they hit him hard and scored 8 runs off of him (7 rbi's from cade stallings, who had 2 hr's and one that was 430+) so once they get the errors worked out they should be fine. oh and P.J. Polk for Oakland is the real deal. this guy is crazy good
  16. are you serious? farragut's playing surface is amazing...no bad hops in the infield and the outfield is ridiculously smooth...plus farragut's dugouts don't leak in the rain (william blount)
  17. not much talent in the west besides bartlett either..
  18. i'm gonna have to go with a no on that one
  19. you can't tell me they didn't have trouble...the score was 4-2 and they scored two of those on a fluke homerun by the catcher...and if zurcher hadn't of made some of the best plays at short stop i've seen in a long time, it would've been a completely different ballgame...bryce brentz's fastball= ridiculous
  20. yea i'd have to say Farragut too...i've played on almost all the fields in the area and farragut is hands down the best....no holes or bumps anywhere just a great all around experience to be there
  21. Thoughts on the season up until now and where they will be come May
  22. similar topic, different area...ur thoughts?
