    Bradley must be a little worried they were at Polk tonight to watch the scrimmage with Loudon and they had someone at ER.

    Polk and Loudon tied 2-2 with 1st team playing first two quarters in a game type scrimmage. 2nd team was playing second half when I left.

    I think the catcher you are referring too hit a legit .623 with 12 HR and 53 rbi's. Don't know why his BA is not in the stat leaders. Not too bad for a sophomore!

    Neither team threw their best more like a bad scimmage than game. Central still should win with 7-8 senior's and Polk has no catcher or true pitcher just kids trying to do their best at positions most have never played and it shows. Polk is very young..... 7 of the 9 starters are either freshman or sophmores.

    Central should handle Polk easily with a bunch of seniors playing against freshman and sophmores but you never know in baseball. Central fans and players better enjoy this year!

    Don't get me wrong the Cheifs played very well and has improved alot from last year but Polk beat themselves with pitchers not throwing strikes. Polk had to have given up close to 10 or more walks in the 6 inning game and IIRC 4 in a row in the 4th.

    Okay then.....IMHO Starr is a decent hitter but cannot play defense, he will never play in college because he lacks enough power to make up for his poor defense.     How many times has either won the state? Can you not see by saying that these jr colleges are bottom feeders you are belittling the players that have signed with them? Two of Central's players have signed with Roane State or one of the bottom feeders as you have called them.

    In other words they are fighting for 2nd or 3rd every year! Vol has lost over 20 games the last 3 years, not really a top team IMO.

    Central has some good players but last year they lacked confidence when Shaw was not on the mound and their defense was inconsistent at times. Chris lived with his Australian Shepard. I forgot the dog's name but I still can remember that little Subaru that looked like he slept in there with the dog. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> It was good talking with him and I was glad to see him doing what he loved.

I am not poking any of the players on the baseball team but some of the fans! o-ya, I can't eat a Stoney dog or BBQ its not on my diet, oh how I wish they were. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> IMO Central does not have anyone to replace Shaw, when he was on the mound the team had confidence. Someone will have to step up and lead the team on the mound like Shaw did. Baseball is all about confidence you know that! Another thing you guys still have Travis, he will outsmart himself. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> Tell him I said that and also that I saw Chris Barney the other day at Wesleyan, he was the head coach for Vincennes University JR College, he will know who he is.     I have heard he is having a hard time filling it, he has been turned down by 20-25 teams. IMO this speaks volumes about the program and the coach.

    I posted this on the board but here it is again. non region schedule for Polk next year is; Bradley,Walker Valley, South Pitt., Notre Dame and Chatt. Christian + looking for one more. Region is; Central, Sweetwater, Sequoyah, and Meigs.

Ok you Central folks can't say Polk has a weak schedule next year. Heard also that Central has picked up Alcoa, Walker Valley and another big school.

    The QB is faster but #22 is quicker moving right to left. Hargrove is the defensive end #62 and Christian is #30. This is the point I quess I am trying to make thanks!
