  1. No its no lie that Jame's size is much more suited for the college game, but Jordan makes better game-time decisions and therefore is always in a better position and makes very little mistakes ever. Jordan is a better keeper hence why he is going to Memphis and James is going to ETSU.
  2. I've played with Jordan Leedle, James Holt, and JP. Jordan Leedle is by far the best keeper as far as making quick smart decision. He can also command his team better than the other two. James Holt's size is quite impressive he's a friggin giant and a good keeper. JP has great natural talent but is no where near Leedle or Holt. Leedle is by far superior at that position in the state of TN.
  3. You can pick a player who you feel is the best its easy, you just pick the most talented player in the entire state. Stephen Morrisey is definitely the most talented player in the state, with Jordan Leedle in a close second. They are both polished players who take a very professional approach to the game.
  4. A couple players from TNFC 90 Premier. James Holt- Keeper Matt Reed- Defensive Back Brennan- Wing
  5. Brentwood's depth is definitely top drawer. I don't think any other team in district 11-AAA can compete with them for a full game. As far as for second in the district I think its a tie between Ravenwood, Franklin, and Centennial. Independence has some talent but they lost their best player in Moses Sixtoes, the rest of their squad shows potential for the future due to the fact that they are all sophomores. Their one good player from the 08 class would be Ben Gaines, but he is a defensive minded mid and can't provide the attacking power for the entire team. Centennial if you remember is a scrappy team, pulling off a win at Brentwood last year and giving a lot of teams a run for their money. They have one D1 commit in Brennan who signed with ETSU. They have speed and should not be overlooked by any means. Franklin while going out earlier than a lot expected last year, to Overton, returns basically the same squad only losing 3 seniors. They are a very physical, not technical team who can size up with just about anyone and should be a serious threat for second in the district. Should be an exciting season!
  6. When MFC 90 can stand toe to toe with TNFC 90 they will be considered a threat, but you guys can't even win your state league, settle down about a glorious draw in Florida. Houston will have a strong team, but Brentwood looks just a bit stronger.
  7. rebelj do you have no hope for Franklin? I say due to the fact that Will was not playing for Ravenwood in their matcha against Overton, Overton caught a break. They are a very talented group of players....key phrase, group of players. As a team they have very little movement from side to side and make little impact by use of their wings. I feel that given the fact Franklin has been playing consistently, Franklin comes out 2-0 winners. On the other game of the night.... I see a strong performance by Brentwood, 3-1 winners against Indy.
  8. No that wasn't a paid advertisement by the City Paper, that was a statement made by a Franklin player. Franklin has deffinately stepped up their play as of late with wins over Overton and Centennial. Franklin's first half against Overton was probably the best the team has played all season smashing Overton's defense, with 3, could of been 4 first half goals. Franklin showed signs of weakness against Centennial and got tooled for a lot of the game, but managed to get a late goal and make a good result of it. If Franklin can step up the way they did against Overton in the first half, Its anybody's district, Brentwood.
  9. Could someone tell Coach T this, because in the City Paper it has quote "besides the loss, the Raptors will still be ranked number 2 going into the District Tourny" That is with a district record of 3-1-2 as to Franklin's 4-1-1, is the City Paper just a bunch of uninformed journalists or am I missing something?
  10. I believe Franklin will be seeded higher than Ravenwood in the district due to the fact that Franklin beat Independence, where as Ravenwood tied their matchup with Indy.
  11. obviously the whole starting lineup if they lost to Centennial haha.
  12. Ravenwood is a strong team, with a lot of speed and size in their defensive backs. I don't think Independence will be able to match the speed of Ravenwood. Ravenwood has a talented center mid, Will, and I don't think Independence has enough talent to hold him back. Ravenwood 3-1.
  13. If there is substantial evidence showing a flagrant foul in which Page's player intentionally injured Seth, then actions should be taken while the player was in his high school season. A lawsuit should not be filed on the basis of that the kid is playing a sport. The fact that this case has been taken to court shows that maybe there is a little more to it than just a foul, but in my own opinion I feel that the player from Page just played aggressively, it resulted in an injury, and the parents of the Indepence player are unwilling to admit to the fact that soccer can get rough. If you're this afraid of aggressive play, try covering your son in bubble wrap. Look it happens, players get caught up in the game and take out their aggression, but thats part of the game. Drop the lawsuit, recoup your losses and get over it. End of story.
  14. The fact that Independence has never beaten Centennial is something not even worth noting. This year is Independence's 3rd year in exsitence, which means that this is their first year that they will have a strong group of seniors returning, with Moses up top, and Ben working the middle they are a great team. Personally I have played against both programs this year and can say that Independence is a bigger threat. Even with tough loses against Franklin and Father Ryan, Independence remains a big threat in AAA play. Centennial is a team that, for lack of better words, has no rhythm . If Independence can mount a strong offensive attack it should be their game. My prediction is Independence 2-1.
