I have heard so much about the Bearden/Farragut game. I figured I'd give everyone a breather and see if anyone has predictions on the West/Maryville game. Both teams are coming off tough losses to Bearden and South Doyle.

is this game on delay? if so, what time is it on?

Don't know much about Lenior City, but I do know that there were high hopes for Maryville this year. They have proven to be a very inconsistent team. They either win by a lot or lose close games. Lenoir City always plays them tough, so it should be a good game at Maryville tonight.

This is not right. A couple of years ago I received a "soft" red in a district semifinal game in which we lost. We were able to sub, but since there were no other soccer games, I had to sit out the next TSSAA santioned sport which was our first football game!

Is this played at Heritage or South Doyle? If it is at Heritage...I've got Heritage 3-1. I am picking SD to outshoot them, but Heritage is tough to beat at home. whoever started this thread should be ashamed of themselves /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

is this #10? if so, he is a good D3/maybe NAIA prospect. i like the way that he is good 1 v. 1. he does not seem to be disciplined yet though. we shall see how he develops. alcoa needs to quit fishing for compliments though. they will get beaten any time they play anyone legit. maryville, oak ridge, bearden, etc. let your play do the talking. p.s.-akula...i know this isn't you telling your players to post this stuff. no offense to you.

isn't there a midfielder from farragut named millen (sp.)...he should be tough once he comes of age. i heard he is in the national team pool. i could be wrong though.

rankings are absolute bull...alcoa should be higher up (they beat AE 13-1) and south doyle should be ranked...they beat the bejeezits out of maryville. in case you can't tell...i am just messing around...let's be honest, rankings don't mean squat. alcoa and south doyle should both be proud of their performances tonight.

coach is suspect...i've heard some terrible things...

i am quite impartial, and i enjoyed south doyle's style of play, but #8 WAS taunting maryville and their fans...it was actually kinda funny. the fans are one thing...they are always going to act like idiots, but players should keep their mouths shut. #7 i believe is ridge carter, and he does tend to flop. he can be incredible though. i think that he was just off tonight...it doesn't matter...south doyle owned them anyway. no offense to your team. i am just a fan who was at the game...too old to play.

i was at the maryville/south doyle game, and it WAS dominated by south doyle. this is the third time that i have seen maryville, and they are completely unpredictable. they can look shakey, and they can look awesome. bottom line...south doyle won the midfield tonight with #6 and #12. they dominated maryville's center mids, and i have seen maryville's center mids be awesome. south doyle's keeper was also a beast. maryville kept trying to play direct dropping balls over the back line, and south doyle's keeper just stunk everything in. i was extremely impressed with south doyle...they should be tough. what year is #6 and #12? on a side note...south doyle was a bit "redneck." #8 on south doyle was taunting maryville's fans, and he was talking smack to carter from maryville (who did not have his best game). lack of class on SDs part. i think maryville will bounce back. they are a good team, and everyone is off from time to time.

I say we all should send an email or call the local news stations and let them know our frustration. If enough people voice their opinion, I think the news station will start to listen. After all, arent they supposed to support local news, sports?

Talked to Donahue today and he needs 3 more wins to match Rush's record. Although, I'm not quite sure if that's to tie the record or beat the record. Donahue has been coaching for 25 years. Rush was at Oak Ridge a long time, but I don't know if it was that long. Do you know how many years Rush coached at Oak Ridge, Akula?

I think playing such tough games in consecutive days, you are going to get some odd outcomes. BigG, what were the outcomes that you expected? Just curious.

Maryville - 2 Notre Dame - 2 Maryville went up 1-0, Notre Dame tied it right before half. Maryville went up 2-1 in 2nd half, Notre Dame tied it with 3 minutes in the game.

Guys, we must remember that these so-called national rankings are among like 5 states that play in the spring. All the other states, such as Texas, California, North Carolina, and the Northeast states play in the fall. So be careful, these rankings could be a little misleading when looking at all the states together.

Maryville is not 6 goals better than McMinn. However, they did have something to prove after their very poor performance against Morristown West. It was bad luck to play them after such a strong performance against Farragut.
