  1. I understand that you might miss some of the good old traditions, but this feels a little like a slap to the face of the players. It seems a little like you don't think the boys are playing "true Alcoa football" I thought Alcoa tradition was about: Playing football with passion, striving for excellence, coming together as a team, overcoming challenges, and having a lot of fun. All the bells and whistles before/after the game are great. They add to the overall atmosphere. I love the band, especially the drum core. However, the tradition is on the field. It is about remembering the legacy of past teams, and leaving your own legacy on the field. The tradition is about the boys on the field and what they've done.
  2. Looks like that is it for Maryville. 41-24: Toney for 6 in more ways than one.
  3. Seriously? Maybe you should look up the legend of #21 from DCA and his adventure at Goddard.
  4. You calculus class must be awful. I think Alcoa teaches that kind of math in Algebra 1.
  5. Does anybody have a recount of the action? What about the injuries?
  6. I would definitely say Burton is better than Whit right now. He throws a much tighter spiral and a bigger arm. Whit still has the troubles that dropped him to 4th string at Alcoa. A year in the weight room will help.
  7. It seemed to me that West knocked Catholic out of their normal style of play somewhat. Catholic seemed to lose patience with their ball-control style. They still got enough chances to win the game though, West just finished when it needed to. P.S. Great winning goal #11
  8. I saw everybody had different stickers on their helmets. Did they just switch stickers?
  9. At least half of Alcoa's 1st D didn't play at all in the 2nd half
  10. Why was the other board topic closed? To consolidate?
  11. In odd numbered years teams on top of bracket have home field advantage if they are the same seed. This means Alcoa will have home-field advantage should they play in the Semi-Finals.
  12. That is not illegal by the way. It just means you have to follow transfer rules and sit out a year. You can bypass that rule if you move you residence or have a different outstanding reason for transferring.
  13. I would sagely suggest that everyone from Alcoa just ignore Seymour07. He is just trying to stir the pot. Who knows if he is even from Seymour. Reading his posts is not worth your time. Tornadoes roll: 48-7
