He enrolled during the Christmas Holidays last year so he hasn't even been there a full year. He played with the basketball team during the holidays and there was controversy over how he was enrolled b/c school wasn't even in session at the time.

Nothing on the MS website yet but it has also been said around town that the lineman who transferred from BTW, who is Watson's cousin, also withdrew from OB. Will Easterwood be next?

Joe Lee Dunn has accepted a college job somewhere in New Mexico so Ridgeway will definitely be looking for a new coach again. Still can't believe this hire was ever made. Everyone knew he wasn't there to stay. The players this year are the ones who suffered the most. Hopefully, more thought will be given to who the next coach will be.

Most of us Ridgeway fans that used to post have kids that have graduated and moved on. I still get on here to see what is going on but I don't post as much because I am not at the games every Friday night. Being a WSHS alum, I always look to see what is going on with WS. Coach Wright has done a great job building the program. Hope they are able to make it to Murfreesboro this year!

Any news on how things are going? Jamboree is tomorrow night against Craigmont...what do you think we will see?

I think Millington will be first. Ridgeway lost 26 seniors plus a few starters who have transferred to other schools but I still think they will make the playoffs. Millington was in position to beat Ridgeway last year but RHS came back in the last 2 min. of the game. Bartlett will be trying to rebuild their program and get more kids back out for football. The fact that Arlington chose not to play a varsity schedule last year will hurt them. Not sure how Bolton was affected by graduation but I know Cordova was hit hard. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out!

There may not have been an "official" announcement yet but Dunn and Glover met with players Tuesday after school. Not sure that any assistants from last year will be back.

one assistant was told today dunn is getting the job and will get to choose his assistants. have supposedly hired glover from lambuth (used to be at humboldt). interesting how this is working as most mcs coaches have little if any input into who their assistants are. dunn may or may not be a good hire, we will have to wait to see. don't know if he has any prior high school experience or not.
