  1. Well good luck monterey!!! I was there last year when ya beat the commanders and it def was a memorable night. Your backs are against the wall again so come out swinging and give yourself a chance to get back to back wins against a top notch opponent.
  2. Dont get too upset there rockin chair. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  3. I have to agree with hillhamhound here. Coaches, schemes, size, talent and all that mess can only take you so far. What Livingston HAS to have is a player on the field step up and take charge of this team and lead them in the right direction. (and yes of course thats by example and not by running their mouths, which numerous players seem to want to do). Without this happening over the next week or two LA is gonna have a hard time going 3-7 this year. Can it happen???? Sure, there is potential there. Will it happen???? Who knows.
  4. From the way everyone is talking it sounds like TC has an easy win this week....So i guess their train will just roll right through liv this week.
  5. LA vs Monterey is the best matchup and is going to be the best game. Monterey has more than just a chance against LA. They are a solid from what I have seen and heard. LA is going to have to show up to beat Monterey. LA vs Monterey is the best matchup and is going to be the best game. Monterey has more than just a chance against LA. 6. Those four teams at Upperman starting at 5:00 is what I heard
  7. What is the uncertainty with the coaching staff at livingston? It appears to me that lamb was hired as head coach back in the spring and has his staff in tact. Am i missing something?
  8. Is the scrimmage home or away?
  9. Well I'm glad to hear that! That way there is no excuses from anyone after its over. I can't speak for everyone but I can't wait for this postseason to get started!
  10. Just looking at scores and schedules I think that Monterey has to come into this game as the favorite. They played a much tougher schedule and have a better record against it. I like Monterey to win this game by 14.
  11. I would have to agree that it's gonna be the closest in region 4 this week.
  12. Back to Monterey and Watertown. All I can say is....its gonna be a battle. I would say its one of the biggest games in Monterey football history. With a win they have a chance to host a playoff game and get a playoff win for the first time ever...and with a lose they are out. But Watertown is not gonna go quietly into the night...even though I will have to take Monterey by 1 this Friday night in the best game of the season for both teams. Monterey 8 Watertwon 7. Heady rolls the dice late and goes for the win. GO WILDCATS
  13. York will beat upperman by at least 35. I just cant see it any other way after watching both teams play this year.
  14. I dont know alot about york but checking the scores it seems to be a good matchup for this fri night. I will pick Monterey by a field goal only because the are the home team in a pretty even matchup.
  15. I believe that monterey has a good chance in this one...that is if they can compete in the second half and dont give out like last week. Monterey 20-18!
  16. Well I guess I'm going to have to go with Monterey by 14. The Dawgs' wing-T offense will have a tough time against M-towns 7-4 defense. Good luck to both teams.
  17. I'm taking M-town in this game. Coach Heady is doing great things for the program and he'll have his team ready come friday night. It'll be close but I believe that Monterey can pull this one off. Monterey 16 Gordonsville 14

    District 7A

To throw a little history into this.... 3 years ago Monterey, RBS, and Pickett Co. all tied atop of the standings at the end of the regular season. So a coin toss was made to determine standing in the district tournament. Monterey (at home) got the 3rd seed and lost the bye game. They still won the tournament, hands down, and went on to play in the region. Monterey is the team to beat and will do it at home again this year. They have taken a step down talent wise the last couple of years and next year will be the first step back up in talent since the Peters kid graduated, so if anyone wants to take it away this is the year. But, I do predict Monterey to win the district this year as well, because of thier coach and their love of the game as well as their homefield advantage in the tournament. Good Luck to everyone!
  20. OK, Ill refraise that...When i played in Gordonsville the crowd meant absolutely nothing to ME. I played two games on that field in high school one we lost 21-18 and the other by around 40. Effect from the crowd =0
  21. I will have to say that I think the gville tigers win this one and probably win it big. But I do not buy into this hostile enviroment stuff. I have played as the visitor in gville twice, once as the quarterback, and the crowd had nothing to do with the reason that they beat us. It would be different if there were 10,000 people there, but come on, hostile enviroment? Hoops I thought that the officials always changed the line marker on the chain gang, and you mentioned the fan being ejected, but you didnt mention that the man come over the fence onto the side of the field and was pre occuppying everyone.
