  1. Based on the fact that we came into this tonight, and looked it up, I know I am right. tssaa.org-click on sports link-click baseball-click regulations.....in there Section E states....in a regular season game that is suspended it is to be called a No Game and start back from the beginning UNLESS!!!!! the two coaches mutually agree it fair to pick it up where it left off. We will be picking ours up from the bottom of the 6th with 2 runners on tomorrow. Hope this helps! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    Cascade

Not sure when the make up will be.....that is under my assumption that they did not play in the rain.....but, I would be highly surprised if either threw their best. I know both of them VERY well and they are too smart for that. Not to mention that the son returns to his initial place of employment next Mon and Tues for two pretty big district games with MTCS. He is probably going to save Brown for that.

    9-A

Quick correction.....MTCS 16-10 over Harriman. Not 16-0. Thanks for the update CB
  4. Cougars win a good game tonight vs Harriman in a shootout....16-10. Real old fashioned pitcher's duel. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

    9-A

    Agree with that... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    9-A

Thanks for the update there CB....maybe one of these days some other people from the district will crawl from their silent holes and grace the thread with a post. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    9-A

CB...you don't miss anything. Won't be too long, and you will be putting JV games and practice times on here. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

    9-A

MTCS vs. Moore Cty. has been PP to a TBD date

    9-A

Looks like 9A baseball is not as popular as 9A football. This district lights up the threads in the fall. Where'd everyone go?

    Hello CB.....I'm keeping you company in your conversation. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />

    Bombs?

I know it will sound fake....but I promise you it is not. Ask around if you know anyone from the teams I mention. Last year in the 9A District Tourney @ MTCS. Timi Hendrix hit a ball easily 480+......360 in the RC gap with a 60ft light pole. He cleared the light pole and hit some storage sheds that are around 110-120 ft past the fence. You want the definition of bomb....he wrote it. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. i won't be the one to spill the beans, because i am in class and don't know 1st hand. But, word is a coach has been named /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  14. If ya'll remember last year...I do not talk much on here(definitely nothing negative), because I try to keep rivalries what they are and not give any good bulletin board material. But, I do enjoy the reading material and will talk about other teams and outlooks. Don't say much about MTC cause I sure can't give away any secret info /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> . However, I'll start it off by saying I think Forrest will be back in prime this year. I may be wrong at year's end, but Brothers and Henson will be lightning and thunder at 3 and 4 in that lineup. Also, I think Cascade will be there. I know they graduated a LOT of talent, but several of the youth got playing time and they have a long list of pitchers. Bassham is good at coaching the fundamentals and brought us a long way in his term here. Eagleville I am unsure of, cause I am not sure how the boys will take to the unstable coaching carousel. Maybe Moore will provide them a lenghty stay and give those boys some well deserved stability in a coaching staff. I'm gonna throw it out there that for years now Community has been holding their own and they have some talent. They have good youth and can swing the bats. They are one big pitcher to throw on district Monday's away from being thrown into the mix as well. That's my initial pitch. I'm ready for responses. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  15. Come on now....you know how the world works. 3 yrs+no $$$= You get what you pay for. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> But, to back up my own self, I think the team has gotten their moneys worth out of me. What you think CB?
  16. I know I'm in the wrong thread for baseball, but just telling CoffeeBreak, Cascade11, and TreyVols99 that I need some good district 9A reading material to be posted in the baseball forums. Give me something to look forward to when I get on here. Basketball not my thing. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. Eddie, I work in a sporting goods store. That is a pretty good deal for that bat. I looked at the site you are looking at as well and it does come with a 400 day manufacturer warranty. So IMO you could feel pretty safe with that purchase. I hardly ever encourage JH parents to buy the $300-400 bats for their kids. IMO it is too big a bat for that age group anyway. I normally recommend to get something middle of the road until freshman year and then get a big dollar bat that you can get a good 2-3 years out of, dependent on use. Hope this helps.
  18. That's fine...I didn't really say we were ever in the game. I said before the game on the board as well that if it became a shootout and we turned it over more than twice we would be in trouble. Both of those happened and we were in trouble. #5, #21, #7, #12, #41 are great ball players. Especially when I heard 2 of them are underclassmen. Both teams played physical last night, we just had some injuries, and I think for the 1st time since the McEwen game, we were just simply outmatched. That happens when you are only in the 4th year of dressing a team. In time we will grow some depth. Good game WC last night, but I wish JB all the luck. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Go Region 5
  19. Now having seen WC....I think the comparison can be made on my part that they look like Cascade. Great QB's, Great WR's, overall Great Offenses. WC defense was good but not overpowering. 3 of the 4 picks last night were on batted balls. 2 of those were batted by our WR and fell into WC defenses hands. Now I am not taking anything away from WC at all. Very good team and beat us fair and square. But, we did score 20 points and moved the ball decently throughout the night. Turnovers killed us. My point being, if I can compare offenses between Cascade and WC...and JB held Cascade scoreless through 3 quarters...WC may not know what they are getting into. I know putting up 42 builds confidence, but if it gets you big headed going into next week, the Red Devils will know how to humble ya. O yeah, and the last 2-3 weeks there offense is looking to produce again so I see this one being exciting.
  20. If we play good football....nothing flashy...no razzle dazzle and just keep getting 1st downs and milking the clock tacking off drives with TD's. I see us being fine. If this gets to being a shootout Texas Tech type game, I don't know how we stack up. We need to go play our game and play physical and region 5 will be sitting pretty tomorrow. GO COUGARS!!!
  21. O good heavens please no /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  22. I actually may be riding down there with CoffeeBreak. We have talked about it last couple days. We'll see how things work out
  23. Well I'm done arguing, if that's what you call it. No reason for fans of the same team to question each other or get into with each other before a playoff game. I go crazy when the Cougars score and/or win just as do you I'm sure. A fan is a fan. Your loyal to your school as much as I am to mine. I just won't allow people to question me on such. I know you said you misread and misunderstood what was said...so I will end it with this. You really shouldn't jump to conclusions so fast. If you didn't understand what I said, then ask me. I will gladly answer. But, as you said many people get on here to read, and I don't exactly want people to read that I am as you at one point called me an unloyal fan. I am a nice guy...I am easy going. You seem pretty jumpy lol. Calm it down a little on the Boards. I'll be there Friday and sounds like you will too. Get better soon too. GO COUGARS!!! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  24. Good post except for the part where I have hinted at doubt of our chances this weekend. I have no doubt at all that they can win Friday night. Never all year have I picked against them or said I think they will lose. I brag more about our players and ability than I should sometime. Go to the MTCS vs WC thread and read the posts of me talking up our defense. Never have I nor never will I say that I think we will lose or expect to lose.
