I think that is a great idea!! This would better prepare the 7th and 8th graders for high school. They would already know the offenses and defenses their high school runs when they get there and be familiar with the coaching staffs. Also, It would be good thursday night football!!

I agree about the sideline warnings, but i did talk to a coach and he said that the state is pushing that rule. Also, there is a new rule that if an official makes contact with a coach or player on the sideline during a play, it is an automatic 15 yrd penalty. The officials have to enforce the rules that the state gives them. But, i am sure some officials take it to the extreme.

My best advice is to go to TSSAA.org and take the test and by you a striped shirt. As much as we(non officials) think we know football, we do not know half the rules that applies to the game. It is a lot easier calling the game from the stands. Although, i agree there are some who do not need to be on the field.JMO

what assc. do the refs come from that Bradley uses (I hope it isnt chatt)? I dont think that will be a factor. a guy work with was just wandering( he said chatt assc was bad). I plan going to game, what time should get there?

No defense and an unproven QB. In that offense they have to have a QB who can run and throw. Im not saying he wont be better by the end of the season but he is not there yet. Seq is experienced, not great but experienced. that goes a long way this early in the season. JMO

Turnovers will be the key for this game. If Mcminn can avoid turning the ball over and make some big plays on def. I think it will be close. I just dont think McCallie can just overpower Mcminn. JMO
