Big Dave.... these guys kill me with this "If not for officiating we would have____!" Blaming officials and coaches is always the common excuse for fans.

So if Cleveland actually had good officiating........ they would be undefeated. I was at the game and Bradley had 2 penalties when they were at the 1 yd line. But I guess those calls were good, right?

So.... You are saying that if it was a Bradley player that kicked a Mcminn player in the head while he was on the ground, you would still say it was " knee jerk, unwarranted, ridiculous, and just plain wrong" C-MON MAN!!!!!

I dont know what yall are smoking up there..... but there is no way Bledsoe kills Meigs. It will be a close game. Bledsoe may come out on top in the end, Home field advantage means alot in the playoffs. But dont be surprised if Meigs pulls out a win.

Isnt that Slaughter's excuse for every game whether he wins or loses?(check Clev-WV game) If you are averqaging 15 penalties a game in every game, you would think he might want to check his own teams DISCIPLINE! At some point you have to look at your team and correct your teams mistakes(penalties). Blaming the refs is the easy way out!

I suggest talking to Mike Martin..... He was very successful @ Meigs and turned around a East Ridge team. Great Coach and will instill discipline in the players. Very well respected in the area!

Ricky Holliday will be named Head Coach @ Meigs. I dont know much about him, but good luck to Meigs!

Well..... If that is true, I dont know what they are waiting on! That is a no brainer, if he actually wants it.

Although he has not had much luck in his recent hires the last few yrs. All I have ever heard about Clint Baker is good! I know he was a great bball coach and football coach, so i would think you have good reason to have faith in him. Good Luck Meigs!

Or middle aged guy with experience along with fire and motivation..... the staff is young enough as it is. Need a little experience to head the program. Pretty important hire with all the talent supposedly coming up!

The coach that "runtheball" is referring to is Jason Phillips( i think that is his name). Played at Maryville H S and Tusculum College and coached there also. There evidently is an issue or he would have been hired last time. And it is not that he is too young! Not sure what it is, if it is anything. But there has to be something wrong not getting hired with that good of a resume.

there is a lot of misdirection and motion in the Wing T. With the right personel, it can be effective.

I think its a combination of things.... They are young and have no discipline. I was not there but heard they should have won the McCallie and Cookeville games. When you are young, the main thing is improving each game and they have not done that. That is because they are not disciplined. From what Ive heard, defense has played well enough to win several games and the offense has struggled all season.

Nobody said anything about mis-application of rules... if that happens, refs should be held responsible. Not sure about your last ? im sure there are several officials that get taken off the field for poor performance or they should.

Yeah! and then the officials would get to look at the film and grade the coaches on their performance, and if they consistently have bad games schools could cut their pay! Gimmee a break!!!!!!! coaches would not have a clue on how to grade an official and officials would not have a clue on how to grade a coach.
