Last night was the first time this year that I have watched Siegel play. I hope that they were not just hyped up last night because of the talk of Antioch beating them by 10-40 points. If they play with the intensity that they played with last night none of these teams can beat them. I must say that TC proved himself last night as a true point guard. He handled the ball well and distributed it like a pro. Kind of reminded me of Nash. I know your smiling Tyler if your reading this. The difference in the game last night was team work. I have never seen Ridgeway play up until last night. I was not impressed at all. Siegel needs to stay in the zone that they were in last night and add a full court press just to rattle them a little bit more. I'm taking Siegel by 10pts.

I should have specified that the scholarship has to be renewed from year to year.

Why would I be kidding? My son will be attending Northwestern next year.

I don't won't people to get the wrong impression because of the question. I know all about what goes on with the recruiting process. Been there done that and my efforts have been very rewarding. I just wanted to know how people felt about the issue.

What does it profit a player no-matter what the sport, to have stats that are incredible, write-ups in the paper week after week, praise from your coaches, teammates, and classmates, to be considered the workhorse of your team, get voted all region, all destrict, all american, all whatever, and at the end of your senior year end up with nothing but the things that I just mentioned? I see this happening year after year to too many players and it is ashamed. Ask not what you can do for your team but what your team can do for you. If you have what it takes on the field and can do the work in the classroom, you deserve a chance at a scholarship.

Congratulation to the Siegel football team. This team has always had tons of talent, but could never find their groove. I think the coaches at Siegel has had so much talent that they did not know what to do with all of it. The coaches finally got kids in the places where they need to be and it show. Kudos to the coaching staff at Siegel. I am so happy for those guys, because they have taken a beating over the years. To the senior on the football team, you guys have a chance to go out and make history on Friday against a good Lebanon team. Don't take them for granted. May the best team win.

The game is over, there is no instant replay, the best team won. Complaining, rationalizing, and making excuses does not change the outcome. Congratulation Riverdale! I think these two teams will meet again in the near future!

I forgot to mention something very important. There are people out there that will try to discourage you. Unless there is someone else that you are trying to help, keep things on the down low. I can't wait until you start getting letters. The look on the face of your kid will be priceless. By the way, my son did get a big time division one scholarship. He is a Senior and will be signing on February 6.

I am back. I have been extremely busy. Glad my information was helpful. I ask that once you do this and it works out for you let me know and pass the information along. This information works for any sport. If you feel like your kid is good enough, then be his or her spokesperson. If you don't have a subscription to one of the sports sites like rivals or sports.com, look into getting one. Not very expensive at all. Go onto every college site. Looking at the teams and their records may give you a clue as to the playes that that team needs. For those kids that are already seniors, go ahead a get film of the games already played or junior film. Remember, seniors have to be registered with the clearing house to become eligible for D1 schools. The clearing house also has good information regarding recruiting. It has a list of all colleges and universities in the United States. Look as some of the colleges that you may not know anything about. It is all about the free education, and making the program you play for better. Get a notebook, envelope labels, large envelopes, and several books of stamps. Depending on where you are sending your information, it usually cost about $3 to send each envelope. 'Spending 100-120 dollars tops is not bad for a free 4 year education. I suggest you send the information to 30 schools. Type your cover letter. Use the same cover letter for each school, but remember to change the name of the coach. Include in you letter, height, weight, 40 speed, position(s) that you play, your school name, coaches name and contact information. Also give a brief description of what you feel you can bring to the team. Talk back if you have futher question. Good Luck!

These are the things that you have to do. Get game film from the coach, if he will give them to you. Break the films down to show your son making plays. Send tapes to colleges that your son may be interested in. Don't be fooled by people giving you the D1 college hype. There is a college out there for any kid that can play the game and pass the classes. Send cover letters along with the film. Keep a list of the colleges that you sent the information to along with the date(s) sent. In your cover letter be sure and request that all correspondence be sent directly to your home and not the school. You should start getting correspondence in about 2-3 weeks. Once the correspondence starts coming back to you, keep up with the dates and the names of the schools that responded. That is about it in a nut shell. Believe you/me it works! How do I know it works! Because this is what I do. It is very time consuming, but is worth it. Coaches do not have the extra time to do this.

I may be able to assist you. Could you please answer some basic questions for me. What grade is your son in? What position does he play? What is his 40 speed? Last but not least, how much does he weight? Please do not pay any money out, it is not necessary.

I noticed lots of scouts at the game last night. I would say they were there to watch Lavergne, but I am sure some of the Siegel players got their attention. I have a feeling coach Watson will be getting some phone calls during the week.

I can't believe people are falling for this reverse psychology that is being used. Let me explain what is happening here. Caleb Harper gets a great scholarship and is humble about it, then you get one person on here that acts like he is actually for Caleb when he is really not. Just think about it. look back and see if this person was saying anything about Caleb prior to him getting this scholarship. Caleb is a team player and always has been. This is not about Caleb and McCann, Wilkes, or the receivers on Lavergne's team. He respects any player that has the courage to get out on the field. Lavergne has a very talented team, with players that will be receiving their own scholarship offers in the near future. Don't let negative or jealous people split hairs on this board or on teams. Congratulations to all of the players in the county who have committed to play at the next level next year. Let them all including Caleb enjoy the rest of the season. Let us pray that all of these players come off of the field tonight with no inuries and may the best team win!

Congratulations to #5 Caleb Harper AKA the X-Factor of Siegel High. He committed to the Northwestern Wilcats of the Big Ten this past weekend while on his official visit. This is not only a huge accomplishment for Caleb but also for the Siegel Football Program.
