  1. alright im still not following u on the detroit comparison...detroit never won a game and finished last in their division while indy won 4 games and finished 5th out of 8.. heck i dont know maybe ur comparing the qbs wearing the number 7, indys qb wears it and stafford wore it in college but that is about all that u can compare with the 2 teams and why are u upset? no team is gonna have a successful year (refering to last yr) after they lose that many players from the yr before. they had about 6-7 guys that returned with what u would consider playing experience the rest of the guys r were young i.e sophmores and juniors that hadnt played varsity, so give them a shot before u write them off
  2. Wow..as a centenial fan u are NOT entitled to compare Indy to the detroit lions, maybe the history of centenial football could draw the comparison to the lions recent history indy had a young team last yr and high school athletes get bigger and stronger during the offseason thats why its hyped when they have so many guys returning with experience.
  3. ha well i would not have put too much time into coaching at glencliff either
  4. the way it sounds is the way it is. 6a football south of vandy is as u said ferocious, whoever makes it out of williamson county and whoever makes it out of rutherford county will be in the state game. its the way it has been in the past and i dont see it changing anytime soon. i think the last time east tn had a team in the state game was in 05 when ravenwood beat them, a williamson county team, and i cant even remember the last time west tn had a team in the big game. some of the wilco teams to look at: franklin - has two great running backs returning from last years team. they lost their qb from last yr not sure who the new one will be independence - has a good team lead by qb alex heckman who got indy to the state game when he was a sophmore. the schedule is definately a tough one playing oakland, MBA, hillsboro, along with the other williamson schools. brentwood - has an experienced group of skill players from a team that got to the 3rd round of the playoffs last yr before losing to franklin who went to the state game. most if not all those guys returned ravenwood - always has a good team that is capable of winning a title but anyway whoever emerges from this group should be in the state game from the west, they have had it on lockdown for a majority of this decade.
  5. i noticed a Kevin Dyson listed on indys roster of assistant coaches on the school web site. This wouldnt happen to be the former titan would it????
  6. haha and when indy beat franklin, they make the excuses of that we changed the date of the game on them which we did...but if they were all they think they are they would have won regardless.
  7. Well i was giving u the benefit of the doubt by hoping ur ace would be on the mound if we play u again, that way u cant b!!!tch about it when u lose ... like every other franklin player, coach, or fan did when the game was rescheduled. And u really think ur better at every postition? Im not even going to take the time and argue with you ur ridiculous.
  8. Coaches have to send stats like this into media outlets like this and indy coach moore has never paid that much attention to sending them in....but dang it must stink to have to resort to saying "our player hit more doubles than yours did" or any of the stats you listed.. they are meaningless stats...hence why our coach doesnt take the time to send them in. The stat that matters is in the win collumn where we split the series. hopefully we will play each other in the district tourney with both teams having their ace on the mound, then we will see who the real team is.
  9. Excuses? Try fact that other than the six that played the year prior none of the guys had played varsity before. And as someone else said no one here at indy cares about playing page were looking at a bigger picture, congratulations to your milestone. And the question i asked earlier... you replied with well these guys won us a scrimmage and beat centenial. come on dude come up with something better than that. If thats all you have then do not say your players are individually more talented then ours because the indy guys i refered to have done bigger and better things. Now thats all im saying on this whole page indy topic.
  10. yeah i did ask a question and others commented on it as well and i felt inclined to comment back on what they had to say.
  11. Never said eubanks is fighting for his job, hes a great coach I played for the guy.
  12. yeah indy has alot of players but when only 5 or 6 that got playing time the year before return leaving the other 60+ to not have any or no little experience it makes it a REBUILDING year and they dont have a complete team. besides those players that did return didnt play alot in the game due to having a scrimmage with mba the next day due to the page scrimmage getting rescheduled to be the day before that. This was a supposed to be pages big year having the senior class they had and the score of this scrimmage was only 14-7 when our few experienced players barely played.
  13. Another thing... indy scrimmaged mba the next day. Thats why alot of the indy starters did not play a whole lot. Its really kind of hard to judge who the better team is based on that ( 2 series i believe it was that a majority of the starters played). Play indy in an entire game the outcome can be different. Indy has been known for beating teams in the fourth quarter or late in the game on several occasions. They did it alot in the 07 season and beat lincoln county on a last second field goal last year. not to mention that some indy players were probably looking to playing mba in a scrimmage the next day rather than worrying about playing page in a scrimmage. Absolutely, none of the indy guys the other guy mention played 50 snaps. this is false. Lastly, you guys beating us in a scrimmage that our starters played no more than a few series is not going to change the fact that some people are going to trivialize your program and the fact that it apparently just made your season by beating us in that scrimmage(that our best players hardly played) and beating centennial kind of justifies why people do this and think oh..."we r playing page haha"...because this was the highlight of your season. So quit pulling the we beat you in a meaningless scrimmage its getting old and giving you less respect.
  14. Yeah i agree indy could have used someone like neel at rb last year, but him starting at those positions would not have made him the best player on the team, which i thought you were trying to say in your first post i responded to. for example take tebow and harvin last year at fl. i would say tebow was the better football player however harvin was faster and more athletic. (in this analogy heckman like tebow and harvin like neel just to clear up anyone not understanding and making some off the wall post) and yeah agreed that it wasn't the coaching staff's fault. They didnt have a complete team last year and were unsuccessful as i have said in two other posts on here.
  15. Read every post before you respond... (really just the one I responded to). Someone appeared to be downing indy players by saying that the three page players were better than ANY indy player last year, which is not the case. Yeah i said indy had a "handful of players" that were better than your three and the guys i listed are, but no indy did not have a complete team so they were not successful last year and did not win the scrimage or beat centennial which apparently just made your season. The 4-5 players i talked about do not make a team i was just saying talent for talent they were better. And what part about what i said about the page three did i say wasnt true??? neel would have not ever played at indy as a qb over heckman or smith and wisdom was on indys team and never played alot so he left...thats just the way it is. yeah i talked about heckman's stats because they are very impressive, a sophmore that puts up almost 400 yds in a semi finals game in 5A is something to be talked about. I guarantee you no page player put up those kind of numbers in the "kodak moment" centenial win or the scrimage against us. that is why i contradicted the other guy's statement by saying that these page players were not better than all of indy's players. p.s. if you want me to talk about some of the other indy guy's i listed that are better i can i just dont want to make this post longer than it needs to be.
  16. Indy graduated about 30 guys from the team that went to the state title game two years ago, which left about five or six guys from that team back last year, that actually played. That made it a rebuilding year and they are not going to win alot of games with that many returning players in this region. There really wasn't enough there to win last year because a majority of the guys had not played exclusively on varsity before.
  17. Drew Bryant is an example of a Page baseball player that didnt make the cut at Indy after his freshmen year and went to page to play baseball. However I agree with you that Gross is a good player but he did try out as a freshmen at indy and prob didnt make it for one of your reasons stated. (politics behind who the coaches like) Now to say neel langford and wisdom were better than any Indy player last year is a bit overboard. None of these players would have ever saw consistent playing time at indy till their senior year. Wisdom was third string at best sometimes fourth string while he was at indy and went to page cuz he never played, oh wait yeah he did...he was the kick returner..sorry forgot. There were a handfull of players that were on indy's team for the 08 season that were better than those three. Heckman indy's qb for example would be one of them, as a sophmore he put up nearly 400 yards of offense by himself in the semifinals game against milington 350 passing 40 running and got his team to the state finals in 5A. What has neel or langford done for page (reminder it would have been in 3A against lesser competition)? Terone shepard, cameron williams, thomas berry, would all be better than the three you stated. neel would not have ever played at indy at qb over even nick smith.
  18. Well theres a first time for everything. Enjoy it while it lasts.
  19. Just a thought, last year when u guys got "pressure" on our QB, u do realize that most of our pass plays were screen plays and the idea is to let the defensive line go. On another note, 73-6? the godlike Page Patriots couldnt even beat Centennial that bad so how could Indy possibly do it. LOL 28-7 Indy
  20. Don't even begin to compare your losing to the likes of USC losing to Stanford or Michigan losing to Appy State. Michigan and USC are winning programs that are not expected to lose. Centennial is a losing program that is expected to lose. If you guys feel that you are talented because you have a fast quarterback that can hardly throw the ball and a few other fast players, then go ahead think that, its just funny to the rest of region 6-5A. I will give you guys credit for having a good tight end, if u had a qb that could throw he would be all state. However one talented player doesnt make a team as we can tell by your 0 and 2 record and Centennial's continual losing record every season. 28-7 IHS
  21. Centennial scoring 35 points in a game? Thats quite the prediction. Not sure if they have ever scored that many in a game in the last few years. Where is the talent at? U do have a "talented" tight end that has only two catches in two games. He sure is tearing it up. Indy has "talent" too. We take our "talent" to the state championship not on a losing streak for an extended period of time. Im tired of the "talent" card u guys pull every year but don't win anything with it. On another note, Indy scored 21 on a very good BA defense. Scoring more than 14 points should be no problem on centennial. Not sure what would give Centennial the idea to be over confident going into a game either. prediction 28-7 INDY
  22. where is the game thursday IHS or Lavergne?
  23. Maybe Millington should try looking for a bunch of DBs after the way INDY torched their secondary in the semi finals game last postseason, instead of looking for a RB.
