MTSCA is an organization that schools can join for yearly fees/dues. If your school is a member, your coach may submit nominations/stats of players who will then be voted on. Not all schools are members, this is the reason some of the top talent in Middle TN isn't represented. I cannot answer the question as to why some schools players seem to end up playing together, while others are separated.

Not sure what you mean about the CC post. The Willis girl dislocated her shoulder for the third time a week or so ago. I believe someone said she was having surgery this week and will miss the entire season.

There's also one listed for UTC that isn't on the school's recruited signed page. I believe both these girls are preferred walk-ons. Not a big deal but still there is a difference between being signed (getting athletic money from the school) and being a preferred walk-on. Just sayin

I don't think it's because you can't get older girls to play, I think there is no reason for them to go to a college exposure since most of them have signed or verbaled at this point. The 18 Gold teams I know are out trying to get a berth to the Gold Nationals. IMO, the Hits tourney is expensive and doesn't help a team to get a berth. So, why wouldn't you use those dollars on Gold qualifiers. Those girls aren't trying to get recruited.

So what's happening in the AA division? Tell me about the game.....

So, did you happen to hear what school is interested in giving her a scholarship. Just curious??

Would anyone who has scores from any of the State games, please post them here. From past experience sometimes TSSAA is a bit slow on posting scores. Any updates during games would be greatly appreciated too.

A - Comes down to Forrest and Trinity - winner Trinity AA - Comes down to Camden and Unicoi - winner Unicoi AAA - Comes down to Beech and Soddy - winner Beech

So, now that district tournaments are winding down I was wondering if there is one central location where I can see who made the all district team or tournament teams.

I pick Beech. Agree about Dickson County. Think Riverdale will be the team to beat.....next year. Agree about Goodpasture, but to clarify, from what I saw at Senior Day they only have 1 senior, who plays first. (other than the managers) One hitter does not a state championship team make but the girl from Camden is a heck of a hitter. Where Columbia Academy is good, Trinity is better. Cornersville will probably suprise everyone though. Not sure about the comments on Coffee County. They haven't been 'beatin up' on everyone. I'm pretty sure I read about one of the above mentioned teams beating them just in the past week or so. They've probably got the most potential to do well, and the apparent ability to tank too.

Ok, if one more person tells me to go to kentucky.com/highschoolsports, I'm going to lose it!! I've been to that site - it's hard to navigate, it took me forever to find anything to do with this tournament and when i did, I couldn't find what fields they're using. could someone please post the exact link to the exact spot where you all are reading this stuff. Thanks for the help

Thanks for the website info. Looks like you're right, only one field mentioned. Guess what I was told isn't right. Anybody out there know if WKU is being used or just that one high school?

I was also going to say there wasn't a winner, thinking it was a classic, and since some teams played several teams and some only play a couple. BUT, according to the website they did rank the teams. Still not sure how the math worked out though. They've got the runs allowed, scored, etc....but no matter how you compute it, when you throw in a team that only played 2 games and award them 2nd place.....I"m stumped. Kinda like having a batter who only has one at bat during a 6 game tournament - they get a hit - batting .1000. Does this make them the best hitter on the team....... I mean seriously??? Definitely not impressed with the way this one came off. Gotta feeling they probably should just post W's, L's, runs allowed and scored. Then let everyone make up their own minds. ANd please work on the logistics of travel. Don't make teams go from one end of middle tn to the other, especially when they've already traveled 6 hours to get here.

Gas is $2.83 a gallon and you drive all over the state for what? Umm....to watch DD play softball. ?

You know, I'd love to catch some of these games while my DD isn't playing BUT to do so I'd be driving from one end of the state to the other. I mean seriously....all part of one tournament but spread out all over the state. That's no fun, especially when there is a huge multiplex sports venue in Murfressboro. Sorry, I won't be able to catch the 'it' games cause i'll be driving around to 4 different schools just to watch my kid play
