  1. Hey Charlie, like he said, they got painted. But there has been some upgrades, play clocks installed, new scoreboard, small concession stand on visitors side. If the stands bother you, bring a chair and set on the hill like some folks do or just set on the home side like some visiting folks do. As far as WV goes, you guys did what we should have done, we were up 21-0 in the first quarter and fixing to score again (on the 1 yard line), then it happened 18 penalties in the next 3 quarters, im still in shock over some of the calls. Hopefully we got that out of our system, played well against LC and a improved Loudon team, Friday Night should be a good one.
  2. Polk coming off a impressive win against WV, was not able to make it down...anybody got any details on what happen? GO CHIEFS!!
  3. Anybody heading down to Polk tonight to do a little scouting or maybe head to Silverdale to check out Sweetwater? Curious how much Miller plays against Walker Valley. IMO, Polk and Sequoyah game should be a good one, question of the night "can either offense be shut down?".
  4. Whatever the Chargers decide to do, they should roll in this game. A win is a positive thing in the right direction, not sure what the schedule holds, but I think you guys still have a shot for a wildcard spot.
  5. The Chargers should just line up in that Maryland "I" and run, that shotgun formation is holding you back. Use the POWER and SPEED!! but that's just my opinion
  6. In 4A, quad 1, it will be so LOADED! Whoever makes it out of there will be the favorite, my only question is where will the line between quad 1 and 2 will be drawn?
  7. I agree RamFan, Loudon got their QB back against Sequoyah and he is a running/passing threat. Rumor is they get their best WR back soon, if they get him back...then its closer than the experts think.
  8. Fatigue could play a factor here, WV makes it interesting late, Polk wins by 13.
  9. Well, it was kinda what I was thinking all week, Loudon has a good team, good coaching just some issues with turnovers. Chiefs were flat in the first half, no spark...nothing. A good butt chewing goes a long way. Final tally, I heard, 671 yards of offense for the Chiefs. Just keep getting better each week. GO CHIEFS!!!
  10. Very interesting game (IMO), Central has got a descent run defense...the key, IMO, can Central's defense force Polk into passing situations and if so, who wins those battles. But if Polk can mix it up, then they should be ok.
  11. Just haven't seen a Loudon team that has lost this much. Im sure Sequoyah will play well. As far as WV, on the verge of going up 28-0, Chiefs had 18 penalties in 3 quarters, only 4 that I thought was legit.
  12. As far as I'm concerned, in my mind, Loudon is coming in undefeated and its a huge district battle. In the games I've seen with Loudon (LC and Howard), the Redskins come out moving the ball with ease, so I know they got something. Chiefs are getting closer to where they need to be, heading in the right direction, with some changes they made. GO CHIEFS!!!
  13. OK Murph, if by some chance the Chiefs can pull a win against PC, will you please type out Chiefs instead of Chef's or Chumps or anything else that has been used over the years, lol. Not sure what happened in the PC-ER game but have to admit I was a bit shocked. I think the PC-MC game will be "pound and ground" kinda game, which defense can contain the other teams backfield. Central had some success with that Maryland I, but the passing game needs some help. Chargers defense is solid against the run, its the deep ball they have issues with. Not picking a winner In this one, but may be a good game.
  14. Seen both teams, the difference between these teams is discipline..and Polk County has it. East Ridge tends to want to blow up, on the field, at each other. If the Pioneers don't fix this, it could be ugly. Polk County 41, East Ridge 13.
  15. Glad to see that some one else got to experience the whole Walker Valley referee experience. But also happy they didn't get away with a win. Sequoyah had 0 penalties in their first game, but against WV, it seemed like every descent play the Chiefs had there were flags coming from their sideline ref the whole night. Maybe just a coincidence ....
  16. So I missed it by 1 point, sorry. Thought Centrals offense was just "vanilla", kinda what they done last year. The Chiefs did a good job containing a great back, not letting him run wild. Think the Chiefs offensively, are a good passing threat and really descent run game, "pound and ground" type. Continue to get better every week! GO CHIEFS!!!
  17. ChiefStrong just sees and knows how good the OL from Sequoyah can be, not going to lie, that WV game was tough to swallow. Playing behind the chains from the 2nd quarter and on, with what seemed like 1 mistake on every play, compounded with the hose job from the refs...just tough to take in. Anyway, this is a big district game for both teams, I know Central was not at full strength in the jamboree and seems to be playing better of late. I look for the Chiefs shake that game off from last week, get back to doing what they do best, Sequoyah 21, McMinn Central 6.
  18. I'm going to say LC in this one, 13-7
  19. Polk wins (or should I say POUND the Pounders)....27-6
  20. If I was picking, should go with William Blount, but I'm not sold on WB just yet. Loudon is really down this year...one game at a time.
  21. Chiefs win in a big way, 28-0. GO CHIEFS!!!
  22. I believe your dead on with that statement, "They have to stop moving players around." One or two moves should be tops, but moving all these folks around creates a lot of confusion and inexperience. That's what I saw in the jamboree.
  23. Who in the SamHill posted this! lol, just kidding, What about Sweetwater at Greenback? I believe you dead on with these picks, but curious what you meant about "enjoy this week Chiefs"?
  24. Chiefs are really focused right now, if the Bears come in ready to play then the score is 42-14 Chiefs, if not, could be another record night. GO CHIEFS!!!
  25. I just don't think Polk's lineman can go both ways, the whole game...Bradley Central pulls away late, 33-21.
