t-mac at this point there is no way to put Red Bank number 4. Their record is 1-3 with loses to Cleveland and Walker Valley and a home loss to Baylor by 13. All 3 loses are to good teams but you can't move them ahead of teams that has beaten them.

Someone from Temple needs to update the Coach T schedule then. That is where I got their record and as of now it shows Temple at 3-2.

1. Howard ....they are just loaded. 2. Brainerd...very talented and only lost to Howard by 1. 3. CSAS......off to a strong 6-1 start 4. Baylor...3-0 went to Red Bank's place and won by 13 5. Cleveland....5-2 start 6. Walker Valley...3-1 start 7. McCallie....Lost to Bradley Central by alot and had to rally from 16 down to beat Soddy but beat Temple 8. Temple.....3-2 start 9. Grace 10. Red Bank....even though they are 0-2 and lost at home to Baylor they should make some noise.

It would. That would give them 4 loses and I am pretty sure that it will take a 3-3 region record for whoever secures the 5th seed.

I don't see a run away. Even with it being at BA I think Baylor will keep it close. Would love to see a Chattanooga team win there but I will go with BA 21-17. Hope I am wrong.

Great article on Tyler Massey in the Chattanooga Times News Free Press in Fridays paper. His first love and passion is baseball as he spent the whole summer doing showcase baseball. Wearing the Yankee pinstrips in Florida he is getting looks from Pro Baseball to draft after high school. But he and his parents prefer college first...but we'll see what happens. For baseball Tennessee, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia and others are very interested. The paper said he took an official visit to NC State. It also said that Vanderbilt wants him for baseball and as an athlete in football. Tyler was quoted as saying he was not sure about that...needs to probably commit to baseball. He is a tremendous athlete and said he is really looking forward to his senior football season. He just reported for football the last week of camp this summer. It did not show as he was outstanding last Friday night. My prediction for the Baylor vs BGA game is Baylor 24 MBA 7.

Wow...I've been out of town and just saw this. Unbelievable. Alot of very good selections and I know it must be hard on some to choose as there are so many great players. But to leave out all of Baylor's defenders and goalie is amazing. At least one should have gotten 1st team but for Danny V not be even get the nod at 2nd team is just crazy. A least one defender made 2nd team. But lets see 5 goals vs around 24 for the 2nd team goalie is just pure crazy. Baylor can be proud though. A state championship speaks volumns. What do sports writers know anyway.

Is this as a result of the goalie situation during the Red Bank and Baylor game. I had heard about the goalie going beserk and having to be restrained from attacking the ref. Curious as to what happened and was hoping that it was just a rumor that Red Bank tried to arrange another game before playoffs so the goalie could play.

Baylor's defense was amazing. All season no one scored more that 1 goal in a game. Allowed just 5 goals in 19 games. Allowed only 1 goal at state and shut out Christian Brothers to win the state championship. They lose only 1 defender this year so next year should be very strong.

Very well put. Yes, the Baylor players recognize what a talented team that Christian Brothers is. Baylor did an amazing job to win the championship. You are so right....it took alot of heart and this team just plays like a team should. No individuals...just great teamwork. No wonder Jimmy says out of all of his teams this is the one he is most proud of!

Congratulations to Baylor for winning the D2 state championship. Playing against a strong and senior laden team the young Red Raider team played with heart and did what no one would have given them a chance to do at the beginning of the season.....be STATE CHAMPIONS! Congratulations guys...next year you will be very strong.

I am getting ready to leave. And look for an outstanding game with powerful Christian Brothers vs the story of the year Baylor. Anything can happen and CBHS will be favored and was favored to win it all from the beginning. But with the way Baylor is playing now anything is possible. Go Red Raiders!

Way to go Baylor....they pulled it together when it counted. Baylor should be very strong next year with a very strong junior class, and strong sophomore class. Sam Williams, freshman forward, will be incredible...very fast with great moves. McCallie loses some very important players that they also have a very strong junior class. Webb, loses the most. I think alot of seniors. Baylor and McCallie look strong for the East again next year. Hope Baylor takes it all the way!

Should be a great Wednesday of soccer games. My predictions are: Baylor over MUS Father Ryan over Briarcrest CBHS over MBA Webb over JP2 I would expect them to all be close with the exception of maybe Father Ryan's game.
