  1. As I said earlier, my daughter plays for Loudon. Not alot of these girls want to go on to college and play. They just want to have fun, be with a team and play some soccer. Loudon has three girls, my daughter is one, that have ever played club soccer. The others are really playing for the first time or have only played AYSO. MY daughter was on ODP, as a goalkeeper, until she made the choice to NOT play ODP. The only thing Coach Phifer really needs to know is that when LHS starts losing there are some girls on the team that feel like if you can't beat the better skilled player then you take them out. One of them tried to do it against a Knox. Central player and deserved a red card, but all she got was a talking to. So when he gets up on them start playing the JV as you might loses a very valuable player to a cheap foul.
  2. My daughter plays for Loudon. Coach Phifer will have to go into "take the foot of the gas peddle mode" in this game. Loudon has beaten the POWERHOUSES Harriman, 10-0, Kings Academy, 7-2, and lost to Knox. Central, 4-1. Brittany Hoffman, Ruthie Edmunds and cast should have open looks at the goal all day. CAK wins easliy.
  3. I was only putting forward information that I had. This is a MESSAGE BOARD isn't it? It was different from what had been reported in Prep-Extra and here. Most of the information on here is second hand, hince the person whose wife told him the what happened at the game and information I had. The Prep-Extra ranking was a PRESEASON RANKING. No games had been played as of yet. A huge percentage of stats turned in to KNS are by managers, who don't watch alot of the game anyway as they are busy chatting with players on the sideline, parents and sometimes by coaches. I used to turn mine in myself when I coached high school, but alot of teams have someone else do it. Can we please get back on topic and STAY on topic without getting personal? My mistake for trying to SHARE some information that was contrary to what others take as GOSPEL TRUTH!!
  4. Lenoir City 8-0 William Blount 0 Loudon 1 Knox Central 4 Powell 0 South Doyle 0 Hall 0 Clinton 0 Oneida 3 Karns 0
  5. Not according to the people at the game. Katie Proud one goal, two assists. Meredith Lee one goal and Grace one goal for Webb.
  6. Webb 3 Lenoir City 0 Loudon 10 Harriman 0 Loudon 7 Kings Academy 2
  7. Oh, my! Yes we are connected in many ways with those two. THey are great girls and come from great families. Yes, Bill MIze is one of my assistants. He is now taking over at Central and has his work cut out for him there. He does good job of keeping me in check on the sidelines...LOL I also know who you are. I thought you were behind that user name. Gary Cox, father of Hannah, introduced us once. Again my hats is off to you and your program. I know when I send some of my middle school players to yu they will have a positive learning experience. I don't know Coach Pifer, but my girls enjoy high school also. Congrats again and tell Coach Pifer to run Ruthie and Mary...they need it and tell them I said to do it.
  8. Someone posted this same type topic last year. I thought it was great to see these up and comers burst on the scene. I don't care which club they come from or school affliation, I just like seeing good players play good soccer.
  9. Thanks. I think I know you, but am new on this board and finding my way around...hence the AAA7 board. If you are who I think then congrats on your success at CAK. Hope you can get something out of Edmunds and Thompson...LOL

Hey Multicolor...do you really believe everything you hear? WE all know how disgruntled parents and rival coaches are. The poster below is correct this needs to go to the girls travel message board not the high school board. Just for the record...NO ONE HAS LEFT AFTER ONE SEASON, MOST HAVE BURNED NO BRIDGES ANYWHERE ELSE AND MANY ARE STILL THERE AFTER FOUR YEARS.
  11. Well HOOORAY for Seymour now they have sophomores. Some people can't stay on topic. I was not comparing Powell to Farragut, Bearden, CAK or OR. As you will see I have them ranked in the bottom half along with Seymour, Karns etc... The B team you mention was their decision to stay together as a team coming over from KUSA. No one said they were going to change soccer in Knoxville. I said they would be eighth I believe not first.

The Mustangs played inferior competition? Are you including the four college teams they played and went 3-1 against. One of those teams they beat being a finalist in the National Championship game in their Division. Their only lose came against the Univ. of Western GA, a team that is NCAA Div. 2, qualified for the Gulf South Conference, one player was named Gulf South Co-Player of the Year and two players made the All NSCAA Adidas Team. That in itself is a tough schedule and I don't see any other teams, Div.1 or 2 doing that. The teams they played in State League were games they HAD to play or go to the Open Tournament which is lower competition. All any team can do is go to what seems like highly rated tournaments and if the competition doesn't show then it isn't that teams fault. Obviously you are not on top of the soccer scene in Knoxville or you would have known about the Vel. Premier situation and what the real differences between Div.1 and 2 are and one guess...it isn't just talent. The most consistent team of the two, KFC and Impact '92, has been KFC. Even with all that recruited talent at Impact they could not repeat at D1. KFC has developed and maintained even with player loses to injury, moving out of state, even going to Impact for what seemed was greener grass. New players have NOW retooled KFC and that D1 mentality is now the majority on the team. Finally if you want to talk about competition the look at this. Impact '92 has played six teams ranked in the top 100 and won two. Impact has played 12 ranked 101 or worse winning or tying 11. KFC has played four teams ranked in the Top 100 and won three. Played 14 teams ranked 101 or worse and won 13. This is from the Spring 2007 records from Jan. 1. Looks equal to me. Next year will tell the tale. I am now off and out of this subject.
  13. Please explain what LAST season has to do with this. If we did that then we would all be picking Bearden. Oh, but they lost a very talented group of seniors so we can't go by what they did last year. Powell has got a very good group of freshmen coming in, their sophomores have been playing GU15 as the KFC Diamonds and Coach Maples. They are starting to learn how REAL soccer is supposed to be played and they added a transplant from Michigan. Just keep your eye out. If not this year then watch out next year after they get one more season of competitive training.
  14. I'll give it a try: 1.Farragut 2.Bearden 3.CAK 4.Oak Ridge 5.Webb 6.Catholic 7.Maryville 8.Powell...yes I said it. Keep an eye out! 9.West 10.Seymour

Rankings are for nothing more then entertainment value. It is becoming more and more that tournaments are looking closer at the record you send in and who you have played. Yes, some tournaments do check to get that from SoccerInCollege ranking service but that is also done on the honor system as team representatives enter that information. One dishonest person and your ranking is false. GOTsoccer rankings is a joke. Impact '92 is not number one now. Not State Champion, Germantown Fury is. Didn't make it out of semi-finals this year and only reason they went to regionals, along with Velocity Premier, is they won the Central Division of the Region 3 Premier League. Of the three divisions in the R3PL the Central is the weakest with West being the strongest and East very close. As far as which high school is best? It is a dime one way and a nickel another. Soccer is good at all three, Oak Ridge, Farragut and Bearden. But if you want academics first and soccer close second, then I would choose Oak Ridge or Farragut.

The KFC teams were not switched up. The Mustangs added some very good talent to their team for '07-'08. The ones moved down to the Diamonds went because of the level of commitment at the Div. 1 level. The KFC Mustangs will be Div. 1 this spring and the KFC Diamonds will be Div. 2. The Mustangs have won the TN State Div. 2 State Championship three years in a row, (Div. 3) '05, '06 and '07. They showed very well in the Southern Regionals finishing second to South Texas. The Mustangs also have started playing college teams in Div. 2, 3, NAIA and Junior Colleges as to expose the players to college coaches. The website is kfccrush.com and from there you can contact their coach Don Maples.

You have to add a player that is going to add ALOT to Webb-Knoxville this year...Katie Proud at forward. Has really added alot to her game, has tremendous speed and 1v1 additude and is starting to finish shots. Got serious looks at a major ACC College camp this summer. Greta Jockman is no longer at Webb-Knoxville.

They now have Carissa Sanchez. She is out till mid October due to TSSAA rules, but will be there for the tournament. GK out of Florida is still ???

Did her family move there? Word has it that she tried out, but no decision as to if they will move to Oak Ridge. Also Carissa Sanchez is at Baylor this year. Can't play until Mid-October. Plus Baylor may be getting a goalkeeper that is a Region 3 ODP from Florida. Decision for her to come up is undecided as of now.
  21. KFC Arsenal lost in the semifinals, 2-0. Real Madrid lost in the semifinals, 2-0.
  22. When has TSSAA ever done anything that really benefited any sport? Does baseball play an excessive amount of games? TSSAA needed something to do this year and coming up with this rule was the best thing the powers to be could come up with.
  23. If Meredith Lee, formerly KFC Mustangs, plays for Webb this year then watch her. Played AMF for Mustangs and was ODP until she took some time off. She is a sophomore. Maddie Cline, KFC Mustangs, will be a freshman at Powell and one to watch. Also at Powell will be Jenna Mays, GK. She plays competitive with KFC Hotspurs and is tremendous athlete. Jordan Hogan, KFC Mustangs, had torn ACL last year as freshman at Farragut and did not play. Should step in and be solid defender. Katerine Nigro, playing up formerly with KFC Mustangs now with Velocity Premier, will be HUGE impact player. Don't know if she will go to Livingston Academy, family lives in Livingston, TN or Bearden.
