Not many 8th graders looking to forward to football at CHS, alot of parents are shopping. From what i seen they can't be to picky in their shopping.

Good to see that things are moving in a positive direction for the CHS Football team, but unless Shattuck goes, they will just replace Phillips with another of his caliber..... Your at a different school why do you care what happens at Clinton. Clinton got better this year and you are still unhappy. if andy hires the middle school coach as off. coach it will be a long year in 2008. Don't be surprised if Stone leaves. wonder if Little would come back if Stone left.

uprising2007 you still bitter about your qb not staying around for some competition. maybe if parents like u would stay out the way clinton can go to the next level. if off. coach leaves maybe u can get the middle school coach to take his place and u can bring your qb back to clinton. 0-10. cussing is not the problem or 3/4 of the coaches in the the bussiness would be out of a job, the poor role models is the parents that make excusses for their kids and blame it on a coach.

I have heard he may go to Maryville also. But on a side note I also just heard that Coach phillips was fired at Clinton today. Does anyone know anything about this. thats what i would do fire off. coach. tripled points from last year, doubled wins, 1500 yard rusher w/15td's , 1800 yd passer 11td's, 800 yard 9td reciever. maybe hire middle school coach as off. coach and go back to 0-10 and have qb leave and go to oak ridge and come back and beat us the next two years as bad as they want to.

Nice move for Oak Ridge to act quickly and decisevly . Football is a very emotional sport , and everyone deserves a second chance . Geez , I can only imagine what this " politically correct " world we live in today would have done to our coaches in the 70's !! Only in oak ridge could a coach get by with how stevens acted. if shattuck wants to kiss stevens as& thats up him. he will have to live with that.

Didn't the NCAA pass a rule against fans on the field after a game just for this reason? In fact, I think I remember that they fined Kentucky $25,000 earlier this season for rushing onto the field after a big victory. I think that is what is coming for the TSSAA. What do you think Ronnie Carter has to say about this entire event? OR could pay some consequences to the TSSAA if this is founded. Heck, we should have let Clinton tear of Blankenship, it was the only way to ever get any money spent for repairs. What do you think were the real facts and what will happen? i told you guys , i seen what i seen. no rumors just facts, i saw tape of game and at end it showed stevens being held back by his coaches, he was trying to get at clinton coach and this caused trouble because oak ridge fans started toward clinton players and a couple of clinton coaches where seen trying to hold their players back. i heard one of the parents of the kid that stevens pushed has filed a complaint with the the oak ridge police department against stevens. just a rumor. still cant understand why stevens would call the town of clinton thugs on his radio show, after the way he acted.

But if a Clinton coach told kids to go for the goal post, he too should be disciplined. I agree if that was the case, but no one said anything about goalpost.Students were running to gather around their team, which was under the goal post. no one said a thing about tearing goal post down. after police got oak ridge fans and coaches away from clinton all i heard shattuck say was for the players to keep their heads up and be proud of how they played. He did not say anything negative about oak ridge like stevens did about clinton on his radio show.

Ole Dad The truth is , Coach Stevens got on radio after game and said the whole town of Clinton was thugs and some other things. Why was Oak Ridge admin. saying they were sorry for how their coach acted after game. am interested to know what Shattuck was saying?? How can you expect them to teach any different? That's how the coaches act and they are supposed to be Adults and teachers!!...they think it's okay for their Off. The Stone Kid needs to get out of Clinton. If had some help he could lead a team with a coach to some post season play. 21-20 Clinton with 3 minutes to go in the 4th then 14 quick points by oak ridge to pull out the win. I didnt see anybody trying to tear down goalpost , what i seen was Stanton Stevens pushing kids from clinton and cussing at them to get off his MF field , what a jerk. Stevens swung at Clinton coaches and told them to get off his MF field also. If i was a oak ridge fan i would hope Stone would leave because with him at qb the next 2 years oak ridge better look out.

South doyle added a drive before half but the coach Hutchings decided to not call a timeout and let the clock run out.......What a mistake South Doyle was out of time outs , but called one any way and brought team to sideline , then found out they were out of timeouts, and time ran out while they were rushing back onto field.

it was a great game to watch. Way to go Dragons. Good play calling on Off. and great adjustments by def. to stop South Doyles running . Clinton players never gave up. go Dragons

Great team win. Dragons never quit tonight, were down 34-14 and came back and won 42-37.

I watched Stone play last friday night , he had a better night than the qbs that left would have had. he had enough speed to get away from the def. which was in the backfield all night. The AD at Clinton is a jerk , he wouldnt let the kids go onto the field before the game until one of the coaches asked him to. he then sent the under classmen back into the stands. Anything, Clinton is a unique program....As far as Hazelhurst is concerned...His parents need to take that task on themselves. They need to film, keep stats, and do their own promoting is he wants to play beyond Clinton. He should have already moved on....not every family however can afford or is able to pick up and relocate, it's just a shame that it should come to that. There will be no changes in the program at Clinton until the problem with nepotism is adressed and that is from the county school administration down.
