If i was jeff co. i would go with a young coach with new ideals. i watched jason phillips do a good job with offence while he was at clinton. he left and went to tusculum for 2 years to coach and finish his degree. coached offence this past year at central. he would be good fit for jc. he played for quarles at maryville and coached with meadows at william blount. Jc needs to get someone with no ties to jefferson co. phillips would be a good hire.

both wb and heritage should play alcoa every year. by not playing them it shows that they are not commited to football.gate money would help schools. play on thursday and have bigger crowd. kids dont want to play for them so they walk the halls or go to alcoa. man up and lets have a true county championship.

bullyrock has watched clinton the last 4 years. the offence was put in by phillips in 2006 maybe 05. clinton put up big off numbers ever year. throwing and running. phillips left to go back to college in 08. he coached at tusculum college while finishing his studies. i think he coached recivers first year then helped with off line the 2nd year while at tusculum. he played for quarles at maryville and was on state championship team in 1998. bullyrock thinks phillips would be a good hire for megis co. last thing what the heck'o is a rebelron. just the opion of a football knothead

Before maryville started its run in 1997, high school football in tennessee was all about oak ridge. What has happen! It has gone down hill in the last 2 years. After i saw stevens act the way he did at the end of the clinton game last year i had a ideal of what was wrong. Then what happened this week leaves no doubt. if i was a oak ridge backer i would be worried right now. oak ridge has gone from great history to the laughing stock of east tn football. how can you forget to call other teams coach and check and see if everything is still a go. wonder what will happen this year when clinton beats oak ridge. go dragons.

Clinton Courier reports Phillips going to Tusculum College. Why would he think he could coach at the college level when he's not been very successful at the high school level. Not to mention the fact that he's been in trouble with the school board because of a certain internet name he used on MySpace.com. He's a very poor role model for high school students. Someone should inform Tusculum administration of the little pet name he likes to use. Tusculum College is a class act. Don't think he'll fit in or last long. Coachpecker is what was on his myspace page. what was on myspace said nothing about clinton. I see nothing wrong with that. i looked at other sites in Clinton including some teachers and they were 100 times worse than coachpecker. School board never got involved know your facts. he is going back to school to finish his degree. Off. tripled points , had a 1800yd passer a 1500 yd with 15 tds rusher. a 800yd 8tds reciever. On a different subject....I heard that the AD at Clinton is going around saying that Phillips quit? I thought he resigned...What is the real story??? Or should I say, the TRUE story????? He resigned , info from someone who seen letter.
