Wow! I am surprised not to see an MUS vs CBHS thread in the DII section on this site. I would have to say that the the winner should be strongly considered and being the top team in the Memphis area (excluding MS). I will try to attend the second half.

Yes, it is fun, KWC! You really are doing a good job in promoting Memphis area high school football on this site with your "Big Games in Memphis" threads. I think you should do a separate play-offs "Big Games" thread that ties in with Memphis area teams that are still playing, yet brings others from west, middle, and east Tennessee into the discussion. That would only promote Memphis area football even more on this site.

Okay, I am in with the following picks: Arlington Briarcrest Germantown Hardin Co. Dyersburg Trezevant "M" to the "U" to the "S" - However, this is probably the best group of "Brothers" I have seen in about 5 years. If the Brothers had better competition, I would have picked them.

That kid, Jalen Hurd, is a good-looking football player. He looks more like a wide-out than anything else, to me. However, it appears that he'll have a chance to play pretty much whatever position he wants to at the next level.

I cannot believe that I am missing this game another year: now three consecutive years. I like Whitehaven in this game; however, it should be close. And if Whitehaven's defensive plays like it did last week, they will likely lose. I do not see that happening. Ridgeway's O is probably a little better than White Station's.

Whitehaven is one big, strong, fast, and well-coached team. They will be hard to beat. However, Arlington, with its offense, and structured passing game is the type of team that can give Whitehaven all they can handle and more. Arlington has athletes too. And let's not forget to factor in the bands. LOL! Though the styles are different, I would give Arlington the edge in "marching band," though Whitehaven will be better, and jamming, in the stands. As for picking the winner of the game, I'll do that on KWC's "Big Game of the Week" thread. Those of you that do not participate in that discussion should join in.

That should be enough for a close win. 2) St. Benedict-24 @ CBHS-31...St. Benedict could win this one, though. 3) Craigmont-34 @ Bartlett-20 4) Whitehaven-50 vs East-19 @ Melrose...aside from a big play or two from East, and maybe a mistake or two from Whitehaven, this will be an easy Tiger's win. 5) Fairley-20 vs Sheffield-14 @ Kirby...the better band wins. 6) Wooddale-22 @ Germantown-28...G-town is scrappy enough to win and Wooddale is bad enough to lose.
