  1. Okay Collierville, get R done! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  2. Siegal, Franklin and Bearden are three of the best 8 in state, but their road to the title game from this side of the bracket will have to pass through Houston. There's no slowing these Mustangs down.
  3. The HHS field = 27. Not bad for a "pasture" and as smooth as, well....a clean sheet. Minimal field crown. The envy of the district.
  4. Traveling 6 hours to play a full weekend of soccer, sleeping in a hotel with 3 strangers, eating your food out of a box and playing every twelve hours is something teams are accustomed to doing, weekend after weekend, year after year. Wow you guys are sensitive to an innocent comment. I did remember the (above 9/4/07) quote. Then there was another about "Cake" this old gal likes a little spice. Back to the barn!
  5. Thanks. Apparently, it ain't over...I don't believe Houston and Collierville are disillusioned about how good they really are. But, apparently there are some who are.
  6. Read it and weep guys and gals. The man recognizes the talent and skill that was shown at Katie Hunter. I don't get Brentwood's ranking with one loss as Collierville did look good at Katie Hunter even with 2 ties.
  7. Not much discussion about the Katie Hunter tournament. Did we learn anything in the Atomic City?
  8. Agree, should get him out to the west. I mean, Houston at No. 9 for AAA behind Independance? If not for a couple of bad breaks and poor calls last year and it would have been the semifinals. Houston will matchup to the others. Time will tell. What's Brentwood have that makes them the preseason No. 1?
  9. Went to Collierville's preseason tournament...oops, I meant preseason scrimmages. Don't want to get them in the crosshairs of the TSSAA overseers. No official scores were kept.......well except by parents and players. Saw some games played by Collierville, St. Agnes, ECS, St. Mary's and several Mississippi private schools. It looks like it could be a rebuilding year for the west's D2 schools. Collierville looked shaky at times. The Mississippi schools weren't very strong. Looking forward to September 25 on the new field.
  10. Went to some local soccer games this weekend. Chomping at the bit to get this season underway!
  11. Hey H20Dog, don't sweat it. I'm new to this message board and see mid and east TN can be a bit touchy when it comes to the message boards. You know, we from the west should be posting more anyway to promote the success the west has seen over mid and east TN the past several years. It should continue this year with the incoming freshman and some newcomers to our area.
  12. I've been reading this forum for some time now and decided to join in the fun, but would like to see it get back on the topic of AAA 2007. It seems that middle and east TN tend to forget that there is a west TN and there are two teams that are still loaded with talent - Houston and Collierville. For those who have forgotten, Houston won it all in 2004 and Collierville took in 2005 and was runnerup in 2006. They should easily represent the region in state and are scheduled to play some of the best teams in the state outside the district during the season, including teams from California and Ohio. But, with all due respects to Collierville, Houston's talent is extensive (even superior) and has gotten better with the addition of a regional player from Carmel, IN. She's the real deal and should smoke any opponents midfield. Come the end of the season, some of you gonna be wiping your weeping eyes.
