  1. DHSFB - Have you ever been to Orange Mound? Not many rougher areas around Memphis than Orange Mound. If QB will go there, I'm pretty sure he'll go just about anywhere else. And all this about not stopping at stop signs is going a little overboard. I stop at stop signs everyday. I don't see the TSSAA not allowing any Memphis area teams to host a playoff game if they have earned it. Let's get back to talking about football.....
  2. I am definitely not including you Rob. I am also not including dou and MarkH. But I am joining Ace5 and retiring from this site. I'll still look from time to time, but you won't see me posting anymore. Later fellas
  3. Thanks BARTLETT. I'm not completely sure what the playoff situation will be like. If it is like it was last year, the top 5A team goes and any other 5A team has to get in with one of I think 4 wild card spots. The top 2 6A teams go. But after seeing the standings this season on the TSSAA website, it kind of sounds to me that they are going to make it where the top 2 6A and top 2 5A teams will go from each district.
  4. If you know they were not "recruited", then why won't you drop it? I can see none of you have ever had city school experience. Yes - the jersey was damaged and was not discovered until Wednesday. So he was given the jersey of a freshman that never plays. The roster not being changed was overlooked. Tell you what - show up at the Douglass game and get another look at the roster. You will see the kid in question listed on the roster and wearing his usual number. And why call out the AD at Bolton for something that is between him and Craigmont? You have nothing to do with that. The TSSAA has cleared him to play, so tell me how we are cheating?????? This holier than thou attitude is pretty annoying. You Millington guys really need to find something else to talk about on here.
  5. Not true. I could care less about being in the DD. Only number I am concerned about is the one in the loss column.
  6. I don't recall seeing reserves in the Briarcrest film. But maybe I'm wrong. Just keep doubting Craigmont.....
  7. Yes.....Craigmont 14 Cordova 10 in an absolute battle. Craigmont shot themselves in the foot alot by turning the ball over. Heaston is VERY good and almost carried them to victory by himself. He caused problems for us all night.
  8. They are usually well-coached. But Craigmont also has some good coaches in Coach Van Hooks running the offense and Coach Dotson running the D. I guess we'll find out in a few hours. But let me also ask - how many points did Kingsbury put up on Brentwood and Briarcrest? 38 and 36. How many did they put up on Craigmont? 14.
  9. I'm not knocking their schedule. But would other teams be given the same credit for a tough schedule like that? I don't think it's likely. But again, this is just a poll.
  10. I find it strange that Melrose wins one game and all of a sudden are #10. But I guess that's one of the downfalls of any poll. It seems to me that far too often, there is one or two teams in every poll that gets ranked by their name and not how good they actually are.
  11. Exactly. Let's remember Ridgeway put up a goose egg against Whitehaven, so it is VERY unlikely that Collierville will get a whole lot of points on the board.
  12. I try giving Millington some credit and this is the response I get. Thanks alot visionaire.
  13. Hmmmmm.....26 points, huh? Looking forward to the Whitehaven/CBHS game. This should be an absolute dog fight in my opinion.
  14. I agree about the RB. He is very good. He is the type of player that if he gets going, it spells trouble for the opposing D. Records mean nothing with this game. They are a tough game every year. I just hope the chance of rain stays low so we can maybe have a dry game this year. Last year's game was a mess.
  15. First - this game should be 50+ to 0. Maybe they bust a play or two and get a few points on the board. This more or less depends on when the coach calls off the dogs and just runs up the middle every play.....which may still score. I think Arlington put 50+ on them in the first half. Second - it is usually impossible to try to work on improving anything against them because whatever you run usually works. They usually have a couple decent players, but nothing to help those few players. I'd say the best opportunity to work on anything is throwing the ball because they have a few guys with some decent speed that might keep up with the receivers a little.
