i think TSSAA should copy the way the NBA playoffs are set up. seed the four teams in the West and let them play out and do the same in the east... #1 West vs. #4 West #2 West vs. #3 West let that play out and do the same in the east. that way the team that wins the western bracket plays the team that wins the eastern bracket in the championship. i know people are gonna say that the west will be a tougher bracket to get through but not necessarily the case every year. to me this seems the most reasonable way to decide on one true champion.

definately the tournament tested teams that travel and play in holiday tournaments (in most cases) do better in the post season than teams that just @@@@ up easy wins. that W-L record is good to look at but if i were a coach id rather play some elite teams and see how my boys matched up...

any team you beat at this point in the tournament is a good team...just throwing that out there. good to see any team from upper east tn going to 'boro

dont know anything about Carter, but I watched Union County put out my team in the Regional semifinals. they like to press heavy and try to push the tempo a little. we just played horrible that game. we could have beat them if we played smarter. they also beat a tough Unicoi team in the finals but seemed like Unicoi hadnt been playing well either, only beating Happy Valley by 1.

i do remember the '03 finals when Johnson County got hosed by the officating against Elizabethton and it was hosted at Elizabethton's home gym...(JC up by 15 and Vince Redd had 4 fouls going into the 4th hacking away and not picking up one foul and 3 of our top scorers fouling out with little picky fouls...)

not a cloudland fan or anything, but i'm throwing something out there that to me doesn't sound like a bad idea and you all can tell me what u think about it. why make cloudland travel after going through the district and regional tournaments and deserving a home sub-state game? i think Rockwood should have to travel up here and maybe host the game at Elizabethton High School or some other local gym that has adequate seating...is this not allowed??

sure can... Unicoi - 60 Union - 52 we just came out and played awful in the first quarter and when we get down early...its over! its almost like we gave up being down by 10 pts early. turnovers, not rebounding, PLAYING ZONE DEFENSE and staying in it when it wasn't working, giving up easy layups early, etc. nobody's fault that we lost but our own..

all joking aside, i hope #4 does well in college. its always good for someone in this area to go on to college and play. especially if its a big school. our fans just try to get into other players heads especially if they are hyped up like this kid is. he does need to develop more but heck he's a heck of a lot better basketball player than i am /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

all bs to the side it was a good game. maybe our fans do get a little loud and carried away at games but we are a competitive bunch. im definately not saying we're gonna win the state or anything like that...whoever gets past the regional is gonna have to get through AE or Fulton. hopefully if we do get to them we can get hot and give them a run. grainger did make a run in the 2nd half and the atmosphere got loud in the gym saturday night...if #4 did have some other players that would move without the ball, they would be a better team. he is a "good" high school player, the best player on their team by far, and thats why we double and triple teamed him.

boo hoo! still crying i see. oh yeah didn't Claiborne County get dominated by Unicoi? thats what i thought. and for Skylar "my pantyhose is too tight" McBee if thats who #4 was i really cant remember cause he wasn't doing anything on the court, guess the recruiter went home sad if there was even one there, air balling a free throw hahaha, he was garbage. have fun setting at home Grainger County...it was fun kicking your butt on the court

hahaha this game was awesome. quit crying cause your team can't handle a loud atmosphere and tell #4 that if he is college material..then our whole team can play at the D1 level haha. he was a joke and was the most selfish player ive ever seen in a high school uniform. he was triple teamed and wouldn't pass the ball off to his teammates. you guys came into the gym and saw how real team basketball is played. the fans did nothing wrong and yes we do raise a little cain on the refs but they were horrible. they tried to give your team the game in the 2nd half and still couldn't do that! keep it up Longhorn fans lets "support" our team instead of setting in our seats...

very good shooters! #42 Logan Lyle (think thats his name) doesn't miss and Cameron Miller is so sneaky. #42 didnt have that great of a game in the championship against us but still hit some big shots. Miller just cut through our defense all night. hopefully we can meet up again in the regional finals.

his name is Christian Pruddhome. he got hurt middle of the season though, tore his acl playing wide reciever. he is the best athlete we had on the team so he had to play WR/CB/K. when healthy he can kick 50+ yard field goals with room to spare and kicks in the end zone every time on kick off.

give Phipps the offensive line South has and he's all state qb...theres been many times he has spun out of multiple sacks on the same play and made either a big run or great throw out of it...best qb in the conference
