By the way, no matter what. I don't think anyone but Prattville could put a "good beating" on us. I think if we lose to MBA or Ensworth, it will be a hard fought close game as they usually are.

Well according to the experts and the college coaches, BA has the better players over Hillsboro, MBA or Ensworth. I believe them on this point. However, you touched on an important element: "heart". I believe that MBA will be loaded with that, as they always are. I just believe that it is not Ensworth's time, yet. I think they will lose to BA and MBA this year. If BA develops some "heart" and some leadership, they will fulfill their potential. I hate to say this, but it is tough for me to predict this will happen. BA may not even play Ensworth this year, anyway.

I think it is too early to accurately make that declaration. However, I can't blame you for making those assessments. I would not bet against you vs. MBA, but I think Ensworth will not pull of the upset.

You are right about Coach Eubanks. He did everything right. He even surprised BA with a defense that they were totally unprepared for and it caused major problems. I don't think you will get much argument from anyone about that point. However, you did not read the prior post. The whining started with the "everyone wearing red knows the best team didn't win...". That's one of those things that I don't say or post, even if I think it.

I did not assert that BA recruited anyone. Therefore, your question is not applicable. I did not consider any of those things that you mentioned. They are all good points. It would be terrible not having any money. Wait, it gets worse!!! You forgot that it would drastically harm our winning percentage, as well. I am not sure why you mention all of this. I was talking about MBA. They beat us year after year and I always end up accusing them of being a bunch of meanies. Who did you think I was talking about????

That works out ok, because I am pretty sure that you would not be able to back it up. I am surprised people have not accused BA of recruiting Jabaree Tuani out of the North Nashville area as a "scholar student". He received an appointment to the United State Naval Academy this year. I have noticed that success breeds accusations. That..and getting beat by the same school year after year.

BA was anywhere from a brand new school to a new school having from aprox. 30 boys to 170 boys from 1969 - 1992. MBA was 100 years old and having over 400 boys at anytime during that period. I submit it was feasible for either school to compete in their respective classification during that time period. Surely you are not belittling the success of a small school competing against other small schools during their infancy. I, personally, REFUSE to belittle a very old, established large school for not winning a state EVER during the playoff system when all schools were combined. You can argue all day long that DII is the the best division in the state. The reality is that it is some years and it is not other years. Bottom line is there is no way of knowing unless they are combined. Without that, it is just your or my opinion. BA did win two with all schools combined in the largest classification. Just about anyone at BA will contend that those will always be the most special. I guess you just have to do it to understand what I am talking about. I have only heard of (1) very good athlete leaving MBA for not making the grades. That was Aurie Allen. He left BA just prior to that for the same reason, but MBA admitted him anyway (now you have heard of one). I have heard of several very good athletes and non-athletes leaving BA for not making the grades and no one else, other than Aurie, from MBA. Maybe that is because I am affiliated with BA and not MBA. Probably the same with you. Most respectable institutions do not advertise such issues.

The 8 errors took the excitement out of the game. It would be a stretch to say that Baylor would have won without the errors. BA hit the ball pretty hard in that game, as well. I agree that the boisterous pro BA crowd had to be an advantage.

In 2004 when we were shopping for schools BA had a 26 avg ACT score, MBA like 30 and BGA had 27. BHS, where we are zoned, had a 24. I have had no reason to check lately. When Tate Mustin came to BHS from BA he said that he was issued a vocabulary book that he completed the previous year at BA. . Who knows about the mat. We have won big the past two years high school and middle school, but no match this year. I don't make the news - I just report it.

Wow, I have heard that stuff about the wrestling on some years, but the academic excellence part escaped me and the hundreds of other families who pay 14K a year when they could go to BHS for free. I sense some jealousy maybe???

I am pretty sure that you are not responding to a BA supporter. You believe wrong. BA took the TSSAA to court. 13 years of probation? At the risk of you continuing your name calling routine, what 13 years was BA on probation?

Very informative - thanks. "Mythical", of course, was not my word. I think I read it in a Tennessean article. However, you put a great perspective on it. The 12 wins 6 losses is one of those "facts" like I have been discussing with Whodey. I don't like that fact at all, but it is nothing to get mad about. It is an excellent retort. It does not change the facts that I have introduced, but it is extremely relevant in the great rivalry that our schools enjoy.

If MBA was not our arch rival, I would have been proud of them on several occasions. In 2002 they got it done with execution and heart. This year they were more talented than 2002 and got it done with talent, execution and heart. That was the BA style in the 70's, 80's and 90's. So, I know how to identify it and know how you guys feel.
