Unicoi County (0-4) @ Sullivan South(3-1) South - 48 to 14 ....Passing game of South way to strong...Hampton ran all over Unicoi plus stopped Unicoi run game South can do as well. Happy Valley(0-4) @ Johnson County (1-2) Johnson County - 28 to 14 ...Until Happy Valley can make a stop defensively and figure out a way to get the backs at least to the line of scrimmage without having to break a tackle then they will struggle. Johnson County is not the team of old, they are a passing team now a new wrinkle we not seen out of them. Sullivan East(2-2) @ Sullivan North(1-3) East - 28 to 21 ...Wow this may be the best matchup and will see what East can do they are definitely scoring some points that is half the equation but the other half is not allowing points so we will see. -Elizabethton bye- The Clone Hogs are simply amazing it makes no difference who is in the back field running or throwing they open up the holes and protect the passer. They make everyone look good so I predicate even in a bye week the Hogs have some pancakes….

Cloudland by a ton, but hope it is a good game and "mainly" no one gets hurt.....

I believe the Dogs take this one as well, they are big up front and HV is small and one dimensional, I do not think HV can consistently stop Hampton, and if it comes to matching scores…Hampton wins. Everyone knows Garland is the go to guy, if HV can get him at least to line of scrimmage without having to break a tackle then can hurt you, one thing for sure he earns every yard he gets and takes a beating getting them (ton of respect for this kid). He has two years (Soph. and Junior) of highlight’s on You Tube (google Phillip Garland Happy Valley) and it shows his speed and power but it is a team sport it takes all 11 players on the field. I like the Dog’s 11 better than HV’s. Dogs by 2 TD’s passing attack and the “Dog Hogs†prevail.

I cannot speak for Knoxville area I simple do not know much about that area yet but imagine as playoffs roll around we will learn more about them I will only speak for say Morristown area and east. A couple have been mentioned already, but someone that you must give a little love to is Garland from Happy Valley here is a team that is mediocre at best and a line that is anything but noteworthy. Yet he has nearly a thousand yards rushing and everybody knows he getting the ball. I saw the Johnson County and Hampton games both games over 100 yards (not sure exact numbers) he was starting out in the back field with opponent players on him. He is definitely faster than one would think with his size. That is all for now, but I think we may have one up in Roan Mountain that we could be mentioning before long.

I say HV wins this one but it will take more effort from the Teddy Bear line they have been showing. They have been bigger than all teams thus far (including south) but have been beat up front BAD every game.

Yea, I knew Unicoi has been strong the last several years not sure how long he has been there, another name I left off is Marty Street he's a good one Elizabethton did well by getting him from Crockett.

Anybody know where you can get win/loss %'s I seen where people are saying that Charlie Bayless with Happy Valley will get 900 wins this year, that's great but how many losses does he have. I don't know of too many winning season he's had in the last 20 years his losses has got to be catching up with his wins!!!! Upper east tennessee has had some great coaches (good programs) in the area but the only true way to judge that is with winning %'s not just wins, Yes some are at smaller schools and that has to be considered but the best measure is win loss % Great coaches from this area: George Pitts SH, Jerry White Hampton, Bobby Snyder, Danial Boone Van Huss, Hampton, DB Dickie Warren, Central Who are other great coaches (and what is thier winning %) in the area I'm sure I have missed some? Where can you get this information?? You gotta go bad 70 years for Bayless ???????????????

How did the game go at Chuckey Doak not seen anything about the score or any stats.

What teams during the 80's made state championship runs, I know that there was only 3 classification's at that time and only one team from the conferances even went to the playoffs, Now making the playoffs is a bit watered down I realize it means more money. Who were the teams: I remember Good pasture, Alcoa and Austin East others???? any northeast Tennessee ???

Not seen Johnson County I have heard they have a small line, but they do have an outstanding kicker, I like Johnson County's chances, I do believe it will be close I believe Johnson County is opening up the offense more than in the past because of the small line trying to spread them out allowing thier athletes more one on one type situations, Elizabethton does have alot of speed so will have to play it to see what happens, If Johnson county can match up defensely I think they win with their kicker! it will be a good game! would like to be there!

I have seen Happy Valley in one game and the scrimmage against Suillivan south, Happy Valley defense is sound South burned them a couple of times in the secondary but it appears they have made some changes, and South does have a pretty good quarterback (yea this is an understatement) If Happy Valley continues the same offense game plan it will be a low scoring maybe three touchdowns, however without seeing West Greene yet, I'm not sure they can put up the numbers to win so Happy Valley 21 West Greene 7. From what I've read Happy Valley can play with any body in the second half just takes them a while to get going, there stats from the paper shows that! No pionts allowed in the second half.

Facing the Gaints great, Radio, Rememebr the Titians, Rudy not necessarily in that order but must see football movies for all ages!!!!!!

If Witten lets Ogg run the offense Happy Valley wins, If he or anyone else for that matter calls the plays Elizabethton wins, Elizabethton has the returning players, much bigger school, experience, by all rights it should not be close!
