Sounds like Carter played the best they had thus far in the season. Maybe they are starting to gel a little bit and learning how to pass the ball. Hopefully they will continue to improve and start playing to their potential

Heard Carter lost to Fulton tonight 45-57. That score is lower and closer than I expected from a game with these two teams. It sounds like Fulton pulled away in the fourth since the score after 3 quarters was 37-32 Fulton. Anyone attend the game?

Fulton vs AE is a pretty big one. Gym is always packed for that one

I've watched Carter basketball for years know and I was worried about this type of play happening. You could tell when this grade (seniors) stepped on campus that they were one of the most talented athletically wise to come through Carter. But you could also tell that they have always relied on beating people by out talenting the other teams. In high school that all changes. The only way to win is to play together and play good fundamentals. Hopefully they can turn it around, but I see it being a long season.

I think Fulton is a better overall team and will pull it out.

One thing about Carter I've sen over the years is that they can play terrible one day and great the next so you can never count them out. I still think they will get beat in this game, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do pull it out. I hope they move the ball around and play unselfishly even if it results in a loss. Team ball is the only way this team is going to go anywhere in the post season. Good luck to the hornets

Should be a good one. Haven't gotten to see either team yet (stupid finals) so can't make a solid prediction, but i'll take Carter by 5 since its at home lol.

Lester will be fine once he gets back to 100% and can work on his game again. Right now his head may be a little big, but hopefully he will mature as he becomes an upperclassman and learn that he has the potential to go places if he works hard at it. Just out of curiosity, is basketball like soccer and baseball in the since that most of the college scouts will scout their players through club ball (AAU in basketball I think)? I know that in soccer scouts don't even attend high school games to look at talent and was wondering if it was like that in basketball.

I don't think Carter will play bad enough to lose this one. I say Carter by 15. This is a chance for this team to work on making the extra pass that allows for the open shot. If they can start playing unselfish ball the sky is the limit for this team.

I had to do some research for a paper in high school on this topic. Carter High School was threatened with a lawsuit from Georgia Tech for using their yellow jacket (hornet for Carter's case). I found out that professional team logo's such as the Atlanta Falcons' falcon, Cincinnati Reds "C", etc are public domain and are allowed to be used. But since most college logo's are copy written to the school they aren't supposed to be used. However most colleges aren't that concerned with a high school using their logos. I did this paper around 4 years ago so it might have changed. I think its stupid for a school to get sued for using a logo though.

Should be a descent game. Im assuming this is part of that tournament that Gibbs puts on right? I'll go out on a limb and say Carter-72 Karns-65. Don't know much about Karns so thats a random shot in the dark.

What was the score of the Oak Ridge game? How was Carter on the defensive end? Last year they struggled guarding the three, is this going to be a problem again this year?

Sounds like Carter played their typical get up by a descent amount by halftime but come out flat for the second half. Any analysis' of the game from someone who went?

As I said, I just heard it through the grapevine. I think Carter will beat Grace by a decent amount, but their season will be interesting.

I agree, I think it may be a few years before Carter gets a competitive group of athletes top to bottom like they had from 2005-2009

might not be back for this game, heard he is taking his extra football game suspension and applying it to basketball so he could play in the football playoff game. Thats just what I heard, so take it for what its worth.

AE lost quite a bit from last year didn't they? Maybe im completely wrong so please correct me. Who's coming back this year for both AE and Fulton? I know Gallman and steele are for fulton and that minor left.

I agree and disagree at the same time lol. I agree that he was a sketchy shooter at times, but no more so than any of the other players on the team. I agree that he tried to do too much at times especially like you said in big games, but to say that he couldn't shoot is a little unfair. For example, his senior year he had three game winning three's and averaged over 13 a game. Is he the greatest shooter in the world, no. But he wasn't a terrible one.
