  1. Haven't heard much about them either since preseason. They should still have a strong squad even with losing the enormous amount of seniors they did.
  2. Marcus Harrell is not playing for the high school this year.
  3. Have you thought about doing a double header with one game early and the other one after that, and rotate fields? I bet the gate for that would be incredible.
  4. I don't blame the coach for coming on here and getting all the information he can. If I was coaching, I'd find out everything I could through all means available about my opponent. I see Carter winning 4-1. I think the game being at Berean hurts Carter, because the smaller field hurts their ability to get the ball wide and attack through switching the field. However, I still think Carter takes care of business tonight.
  5. I wouldn't count on that. The coaches are smarter than that. Believe it or not there are some intelligent people out in that community /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  6. You know what KFC team he played with?
  7. Lenoir City and Webb I think were scrimmages, but I'm not positive. I'm just here to ruin your posts /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  8. Looked up the scores that the coacht page has and it shows Carter outscoring it opponents 33-6. Who did Eurosport has scoring the goals against Carter? Just curious? 2 of the goals were scored by Hardin Valley, 3 by Jeff county, and 1 by Harriman. I think a big factor for Seymour is to not foul within 25 yards of their own goal. I've seen Sherrod bury a ton of free kicks from that distance. This is going to be an exciting game. Ref- No I haven't seen Seymour this year, I was just basing my prediction from what I had heard through here.
  9. This is an interesting game. In 2008 Home field team lost both times (Carter 2-0 @ Seymour, Seymour 4-3 @ Carter. 2007 Home team lost (Seymour 3-2?? @ Carter). 2006 one tie (1-1 @ Seymour) and home team wins (Carter 4-2 @ Carter). So looking at past history it looks like the home team struggles. I think Sherrod is playing too well right now for Seymour's defense. So i'll say 4-2 Carter. By the way how is the Seymour's sweeper that was injured doing?
  10. haha nicely done. Well it would be nice to meet you if I get a chance
  11. Pitbull you going to be at the game on Thursday?
  12. Looks like Sevier County is playing pretty well. The Fox kid is a great player.
  13. Let's just say the beard is getting to epic status
  14. The sweepers name was Brandon Davis your point is /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> I feel that how the defense plays is key to the season like you said. Carter will get goals, the question is will their defense stay strong throughout the season. They are certainly capable of it How's Berean doing? Haven't seen any of their results lately.
  15. Should beat Gibbs and Berean fairly comfortably. Seymour is a toss-up game no matter what year just because of the incredible rivalry between the two schools. Alcoa should be able to attack Carter's weak spots and win by a goal or two. Having Sherrod will keep any team in any game, and Carter has a good supporting cast around him. They are hurting in the middle after losing their sweeper and center mid from last season.
  16. They have started off well 6-0 or 7-0 record. Best wins are Hardin Valley and South Doyle. Upcoming weeks will tell a lot about this team.
  17. I noticed that Seymour gets a 1-0 win over Fulton due to forfeit. Say the district goes into a tie breaker for some position, will that score be included in the goal differential section of the tiebreaker. I know its a ridiculous long shot of that happening, but was just curious as to what happens with that type of score if it does get there.
  18. Good question. I wasn't sure so I looked it up on the teams page and it shows that they are in a district with: Oak Ridge Halls Clinton Karns Powell Central
  19. Carter 4 Hardin Valley 2 Good overall match. Field was in terrible shape and that hurt both teams since both teams seemed to like to possess the ball. Carter scored of an early cross that hit off a HV player for an own goal. HV struck back about 10 minutes later off a beautiful cross and finish and they scored again about 5? minutes later after a Carter defender lost his man on the weak side. After half, Carter came out and played better especially through the wings. Carter scored 2 in a row by Sherrod drilling two free kicks from about 25 yards out to make it 3-2 Carter. They later added a 4th by Grigsby with around 6 minutes left to go to seal the game. There was a lot of sliding but surprising few cards. The HV coach got a red card for what looked to me saying some things to the ref and coming onto the field. Both teams have good squads. I thought Carter's middle was a little weak even though they did lose their center mid and sweeper from last year. But the wing play and back three looked pretty solid. HV has a good fast defense especially the sweeper and their goalie made some great saves. Their forwards were pretty much a non-factor tonight and couldn't seem to get anything going. Good luck to both teams with their remaining schedule.
  20. Carter better come to play tonight or this Hardin Valley team will come in and give them all they want. I've heard Hardin Valley has a talented but young squad, so anything is possible.
  21. Oak Ridge lost quite a lot from last year didn't they? I think it will be a close (sloppy depending on the weather) game with Alcoa winning 2-1. Whats the past history score wise between these teams?
  22. Excellent post! I never thought of it in that sense but I agree with you
  23. I think that homeschool kids should be allowed to play for the teams they are zoned for, but I don't think that all-homeschooler teams should be allowed to compete in HS leagues.
  24. Awesome game. Their touches are incredible. USA!!
  25. Getting ready to leave Knoxville right now to head up. Hope US blow them out
