  1. Classy post,Butchie, really !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> To me,that's what this forum is all about, showing your support for your team(s),but not wishing any harm to the other team. I have been going to these games for many years, and it never gets any easier watching some young man hobbling off of the field, not knowing if that's the last time he'll play high school ball. So,am hoping for an injury free game!!! GO BIG BLACK!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  2. GREAT post, could not have said it any better lions4ever !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I've been there with the Lions through thick and thin, and let me tell you, this group of young men deserve every recognition that they get !!! We've got your back boys this Friday night !! Do hope for an injury free game, can't say that enough !! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  3. THis is TTTOOO CUTE !!!!! /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" /> GO BIG BLACK!!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  4. But look at who they've played versus whom Camden has played,MILAN,TRENTON-PEABODY,MARTIN-WESTVIEW,JACKSON NORTHSIDE !!!! /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" This is why Coach scheduled these teams for us to play...to make us better !!! My Lions were a little down in the dumps after the loss to Jackson N.,but come Monday, they will focus at the task at hand, and that is... to win another Region Championship. They've not taked any team lightly this year, and they're not gonna to start now /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" /> Should be a good game, and as always,I'm going with my Lions to bring home that Region Champ title again!!! GO BIG BLACK!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  5. I do not think that this will be a walk in the park by any means...but Coach Ward chose non-region games this year to make us better for the play-offs,so,with that in mind,I'm going to say that my Lions will win. Simply because I feel that we're beginning to peak at the right time, with some of our walking wounded coming back, even though I have to say that our Underclassmen have really stepped up to the challenge these past few weeks !!! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I truly hope for an INJURY FREE game as both teams are readying for the playoffs !!! GO BIG BLACK !!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  6. Would you care to explain these numbers and their meanings to us DUMMIES??!! /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  7. We appreciate having you on the Lions Fan Team !! Thanks for the good words from A'ville!!! /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  8. THANK YOU for clearing this up!!! I was at ALL of those games and I'm with you,1999 was the last time !! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> My pre diction for this game is H'don cause they're coming off of 2 loses and God help the next team in line, which just happens to be Stewart Co. Hope it's injury free, too.
  9. Still gotta show support for my Lions !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> We never take a team for granted,no matter what their win/loss is,so be prepared to see us shine,our JV,too!! Go Lions!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  10. Calm down,Butchie !!! Don't take it personally!!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Huntingdon is never too down to be overlooked...never take them for granted...and my Lions won't do that. They'll regroup and go to Paul Ward Stadium next Friday night ready and willing. This group of young men might have dipped a little after Spencer got hurt, but they will be back in form by this Friday. Michael Gaskin did an outstanding job last Friday,he had some awful big shoes to fill, and he did a fine job, really proud of that young man. That's what it takes, though, for the rest of the team to step and fill in when needed. Now,I'll get off of my soap-box and say that I'm going with my Lions to win!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> GO BIG BLACK!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. Yes,rcombs,I agree with you. It was deja vu all over again... /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> But this I do know, and that is that Camden played one heck of a game as a TEAM,no one person stood out, everyone contributed. And Michael Gaskin stepped into some might big shoes last night and really stepped up to the front. I was as tired after the game as some of the boys were!!! /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> It was a most exciting game to watch, obviously not the outcome that I would have preferred. I am SO proud of Camden,NOW on to H'don next week. Stay focused guys!!! GO BIG BLACK!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  12. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> OH!! NO!! A mere 48 hours to go before the truth comes out about the outcome of this thread!!!! I do have to say this has been a very interesting thread to read on a daily basis.Just too bad we all couldn't meet up on the field, but, alas,it's the young men of Camden and Westview that'll be doing that this Friday. I'm sure that both teams are primed up for this one,so let's just all go to the game and show our support...or as we say here in Camden,"SHOW YOUR LION PRIDE !!" /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. OK...ok...ok... /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" ,go ahead and call Camden the underdog...that just makes us play that much harder!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> We have never gotten the respect that we deserve and never will until we win it all,so this train of thought is nothing new to us...just makes us stronger /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> . I know that this sounds like a broken record, but I truly do hope for an injury free game. GO BIG BLACK !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  14. Hey !!! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> Where are all of the Lions fans out there??? I cannot believe that we don't have any more support than this!!! I'll make my prediction and say Camden will win by 7. Sure,it'll be a tough one to win,but I have the utmost faith and belief in our young men. GO BIG BLACK !!!! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Do hope for an injury-free game !!!
  15. This will definately be hard hitter, and different than the game that they just came out of with Adamsville !!! With that being said, I really think that the Lions will come out on top, with the way the game with Milan went still fresh on their minds, they'll come out of the gates with guns ablazing /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I really don't think they're going to hold anything back, even if this one's not a region game. Don't think that the win margin will be great, just think that it'll be enough. GO BIG BLACK !!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  16. I agree with rcombs and lions4ever,that these young men came off of a heartbreaker loss to Milan and will be geared up for whomever they play this week. They are going to get back on track and Adamsville just happens to be next. Let's just hope that there are no injuries on either side of the ball this Friday night. GO LIONS !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  17. You leave Kevin Ward right where he is now!!! LOL You have to have a Coach that the players will respect, and we have that in Coach Ward, did'nt have it before...trust me,I know this for a fact. The kids have got to want to play FOR him,and when he shows results, the kids will come out to play for him. The support of the community has always been there, just more of it now.Set goals, achieve them, one step at a time, and things will happen. I just wish that the rest of the State knew how good Camden really is. We have a core group of young men that have played together for a long time, and the left hand knows what the right hand is doing ,so to speak, you need that combination, along with great Coaches, and there you have it...winners!!!
  18. I am the parent of four young men,and can ONLY imagine the grief that the families are going through. Be assured that you are in the thoughts and prayers of us here in Camden. I,too, believe in the power of prayer and hope that you are comforted somewhat by these short messages. God bless.
  19. I was listening to ESPN radio a couple of weeks ago,and they made a profound statement about Camden and their football program. And that was, that Camden doesn't get the respect, nor the recognition, that they deserve because of their location, location, location. They're too far west for Nashville to notice, and too far east for Jackson to notice. SO,I'm guessing the only we're going to get it,is to do it on the field, and let that do the talking for us. With all this being said,I'm making my prediction for this weeks matchup with Milan, and going with the boys in Black and Gold. They're on a mission this year and I think that their heads and hearts are in the right place at the right time.Spencer,Moose and the rest of the young men have got it going. GO BIG BLACK!!
  20. I'm thinking that after the big win over Trenton Peabody last week, the Lions are over the jitters and are on track for a great season. My money ( so to speak) is on the Lions this week!! Let's just hope that it's a good injury-free game!! Got some people back from the injured list and hope to start rolling on!!
  21. I think that Camden will pull this one out. They are chomping at the bit to hit somebody and I think they'll come with guns ablazing.
