I have been a Camden Lions fan for many,many years,and I'm sssooo proud of these young men and their Coaches!!! My husband,who passed away this past winter would be ecstatic over this season,but I know that he's looking down from above with a huge smile on his face...all the while yelling at the Refs to "call it the same for both sides !!!" I'm gonna be there for each remaining game,even though I don't "have a dog in this hunt anymore",simply because I just love this team and the staff. These young men of Camden have done everything that Coach Ward has asked of them,shy of a perfect regular season...and they're not gonna stop now! So,those of you who are faint of heart or short on faith,don't come to the game this Friday !! Cause I truly believe that the Lions will come out with guns ablazing!!!

I am from Camden,and Milan was the only loss we had in regular season. I have great respect for this team,went to see them this past Friday night and saw them hand it to Goodpasture,which gave me a warm fuzzy feeling all over!!!I'm seriously thinking about making the trip up to the 'boro this next week,and I will be cheering for the Purple of Milan. Us West Tennesseans have got to stick together,and I believe that's what we will do. You'll probably see alot of people from West Tn. there that are not from Milan,but will be pulling for them.I know that they are considered the "under-dog",no big surprise there,but as we all know,things do happen...upsets do occur...and I do hope this the time for one. Congrats to Danny Kim!!! You obviously deserve this honor,as everyone could tell how hard you have worked and how much time you have invested in getting better,and it surely has payed off!!! Formerlionsdad here, having trouble with my account, Lioness graciously allowed me to post on hers. Now to sportscrazy,ARE YOU CRAZY? Don't you remember what it was like before Ward & Blow. 2 things happened last friday nite, 1 we had an off game and 2 we got beat by a better team, GET OVER IT, no excuses, we lost. These young men still made history for Camden football by three-peating as region champs, they didn't get there by themselves, it took one of the best coaching staffs in the state, we have to realize something we are a rural school and that means we don't have the talent pool that a lot of scools are blessed with, so its up to coaches like, Ward Blow, McDowell, the Sturdivant boys and all the rest to bring out the best in these young men. I can't say I agree with everything they do, but I'm not the coach, and they've pretty darn good to this point. I think I'll trust them to keep it going. My son played for these people for 4 years and thtough thier hard work and dedication my son is in college as we speak. If this is the result of thier work, I think I can live with a loss once in awhile. Good JOB to all concerne. We just have to go get that GOLD BALL NEXT YEAR.

Thoughts and prayers from West Tennessee,from the Camden Lions Family. We have a young girl right now from here who is in the hospital in Nashville,recouperating slowly from a 4 wheeler accident. My heart goes out this family.May God be with you throughout this.

I was not sure how many games that I would make this year,as my last son graduated last May,and I really didn't have a dog in this race,so to speak...but...the games that I was able to go to were just as exciting as the ones of last season. These young men of Camden Central High have absolutely nothing to hang their heads about,as far as this football season goes. The Coaching staff there is awesome,and I hope that they all retire from this school /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> These Coaches have taught these young men so much in a short amount of time that will go with them for the rest of their lives. I,too,was at that game last year,and believe it or not,the behavior of the SC team during their warm-up was most disturbing,and disrespectful.You all are going to see it through different eyes than us,no matter what,and that's ok,that's just the way things work. But you know what??? That was last year,water under the bridge,so to speak. This year we come to your house,different kids,different year,but you know what??? Same outcome. Two of Camdens finest signed with Bethel College yesterday. They are Kyle Combs and Chase Horton.Kyle was signed on to be a Defensive End,and Chase was signed on to be a Linebacker.These two young Gentlemen deserve everything that they're receiving,and will be a great asset to the Bethel program. As a Mother to a FORMER Marine,not EX,let me correct you on that one. Once a Marine,always a Marine. Anyway,,that being said,I truly don't think that Coach Morris would do anything to jeopardize this season. I may be wrong,but I don't think that there's any wrong doing here. And if there were,don't you think that some one would have stepped up and spoke out about it?? Camden has went from winning 2 games 2 years ago,to 4 games last year,to doing a little better this year. I truly don't think that Bolivar has anything to worry about,or several other teams for that matter. Coach Morris appears to be pretty stand up guy,who would not instill in these young men this accusation that is being thrown around. Hey,Butchie !!! Just a note from the Camden area,to let you know that we're behind you all !!! You have been an avid supporter of the Camden Lions this year,we appreciate that and want you to know that the feeling is mutual. My son,is a Senior this year,so our high school football days are over...but we still support our friends from West Tennessee !!! This will be my last post on CoachT,but I did want to get on here one more time and say Congratulations to GP on their win tonight. My Lions laid it all on the field,but it just wasn't enough to pull out a win. Words cannot express how proud I am of these young men. They made watching football in Camden fun again,thanks to Coach Ward and his staff.
