  1. I called you all idiots for spelling SIEGEL wrong. I dont think predicting a melrose w is bias, but a blowout is bias for sure.
  2. Ill have my there to enjoy Hammonds, Tate, and 6'9 Cedrick Williams, who in the word of Melrose fans, has "legit" 1a talent. I dont see it getting as ugly as all of yall do. Siegel has too much length to get blown out. The only way they get blown out is if they bring no offense and I dont see that happening. Plus its homecourt advantage. The Nation will be rocking, and MBoro will be out to represent the stars as well. But keep gassing melrose up. Hope they come in overconfident.
  3. You west TN idiots dont know how to spell Siegel, so really unsure how you got the right to judge there team. Melrose is tough, but dont ever count out the Stars. Ask Antioch a couple years ago. Every one of these "blowout" predictions is straight bias from west tn. The Stars do HAVE talent. They match up much better this year with West Tn teams then in years past. If Tate is back then it really improves Siegels inside game.
  4. Congrats to Oakland and Coach Wright, very impressive year thus far. I was, indeed, owned by facts. I will now admit to ignorance in stating that. And TJ im pretty upset the nation didnt do baby powder in the glory days of being the most obnoxious student section. WHAT WERE WE THINKING, and as for whoever said Butch Vaughn did nothing must not no much of anything about what Oakland was before he came there. They were being eyed by the state BEFORE he went to Oakland. I think many Oakland fans can tell you he is a good principal and has been in this county for many years. Now for a couple real questions, what happened to emmanuel andrews? and when does the district tournament start this year and where will it be held?
  5. The baby powder was childish and just shows how crappy the Oakland administration is now. Im sure the oakland mob doesnt, but I do miss butch vaughn. He made the students act half way classy. Do that to your court not ours. The talent will continue coming to Siegel while we keep going further then Oakland.Have yall even made 3 state tournaments in the illustrious history of the school? You guys did a good job getting Jordan warmups though, maybe thats what makes you think the talent will go there? Siegel has Jordan stuff too though so maybe not. Enjoy the regular season district crown. Lavergne is good but OP I like how you just used Oakland and Lavergne as your examples. Im sure Lavergne would rather play Oakland then Siegel. Siegel is underachieving right now and were outcoached friday night, sure the talent may be better but to mesh a team is not an easy task which im sure no one on here has thought about. So, to lose 2 starters and still play at the level Siegel is playing at does involve coaching whether you want to believe it or not. I hope we can get 2 more Oakland Siegel matchups this year. The game friday was an instant classic.
  6. Wright is a great replacement for the King. He is easily coach of the year, but for Dotson to have done thus far what he has with the injuries to Hammonds and Tate it has impressed me. If Oakland thinks they stand a chance with Hammonds in Siegels lineup by the time district tournament rolls around the joke is on you. This team is clicking and it will be a VERY scary sight when Kerry returns. I hope Tate gets to finish his year up also, but its in question. With both of them these games arent close. Congrats on the win, hope to see you again in the district tournament finals. Wrights got a better record on the Stars then King did right now, will it continue? Thats to be decided later.
  7. With MTSU where Kerry will excel, a great choice by Hammonds, and a great signing for Coach Davis. That should fill some more seats in the 2010-11 basketball campaign
  8. Can anyone give some times of the playday tomorrow, and is it the Siegel playday? I hope what I am reading about Williams is facts. If he plays more physical in the post Siegel should be a state favorite. Any news on Andrews too. The kids got mad talent, I was hoping to see him in a MTSU uni one day.
  9. Sad day for high school basketball in rutherford county. As much as I may hate Oakland hoops I have to respect Randy King for all he has done locally for high school basketball. Congrats on a great 23 years as head coach. It will be tough for any local coach to ever match what he has done.
  10. John Jenkins is way better then Andrews. He's going to be the SEC freshman of the year next year. He is not only the best shooter in the our state, but he might be the best shooter nationally.
  11. Gotta love Coach Hibdon, might be the best coach in the state tourney this year. Good luck Lady Blaze, never thought when the Siegel girls were eliminated itd be to a future state bound team. Great job getting this far, bring home one for the Boro.
  12. Middle Tennessee ball in AAA is different then Chattanooga ball in AAA. I think the top 4 teams in region 4 could have beat your top 2. AND I think our top 2 will beat your top 2. Good luck Oakland, and Shelbyville, that hurts me more then go Oakland.
  13. As for Twilley being the quickest human in Tennessee, Id take Mike Conley from the grizzlies, Bobby Maze from UT, Nigel Johnson from MTSU, oh and Chris Johnson is by far the quickest human in the state lol. That being said, to take one from OP, I have two words to why Shelbyville will win this game: Emmanual Andrews. Best player I have seen since Barry Stewart.
  14. Walker Valley is very tough and even tougher at home from all I have heard. That being said good luck Shelbyville. I like Shelbyville in a close one. If Oakland over looks Red Bank it could be a tough night, but I doubt a King coached team will overlook anyone. I like Oakland by 14
