Dearco is from Newport. He dominated basketball and was a really good middle school football player. Instead of going on to CCHS he moved to ATL and is on the verge of a D1 scholarship. He is highly recruited and even if you google his name stats and articles pop up everywhere. Its really sickining to see what our County missed. Hopefully he wont forget his roots

Nobody is making any excuses. Did Grainger have 11 kids on defense every play? Absolutely. Did that have anything to do with Cosby having 330 yards of offense? Absolutely. If Veags had a point spread for this game Im almost positive Cosby would be the favorite. They are at home and they are coming off a loss to a good team that didnt affect the season what so ever. Cosby has NEVER EVER won a region title. I think they will come out to play. Amanda we should tailgate friday.

Cosby could have easily won this game. Inside the 15 3 times and all they came away with was a field goal. I would dare say they had at least 300 yards of offense. The ONLY reason Grainger came out on top was because The had By far the best athlete cosby will see all year. If Cosby will learn to finish after all these big drives im not worried about any team untill week 2 or 3 of the playoffs. Cosby has a great defense, which wins games. Cosby could easily host a playoff game in region 1 1A, 2A, and 3A. My hats are off to a well coached team. Im looking forward to the rest of the season. ANd ive seen Cosby run after their practices. To say they are out of shape is like saying Sarah Palin is ugly. haha

I strongly agree myself pujo. Though I heard Kings Academy had a bruising fullback/Quarterback/safety/kicker whom is possibly of Korean decent. He is 6'2'' 240. Runs like a deer and will truck any opposing player who gets in his way. He also is an above average chess player who dances to the polka. What does polka and chess have to do with football, not the slightest thing but i find them interesting. If this holds true it could be a long night for the Eagles. Do I picture them losing this game at home, absolutely not, but it may happen. Charlie Murphy is also a great actor. **** yo couch!

Grace is becoming a good program basketball and football. Just look at CAK. Cosby used to beat them like a drum when they first got their program going and in just a few years they became contenders. How did this happen? Well its very easy for a private school to get players to compete, epecially at the 1A level. The whole knox christian basketball team my senior year in 06'-07' was ridiculous. How that was let to happen Ill never know. I am from Newport. If i wanted to stack a small school with great athletes it would have been very easy to do. Now imagine how easy it would be to do in knoxville. Money money money. Its all you need. The multipler should be 4.5 so this bull**** doesnt happen. Let the schools that cheat battle each other for the crown in december. I could say I spanked Grace ( before they could recruit a dream team). Talk that garbage, Grace has to come to the hill this year, and I dont think they like to get physical. That stinks for them.

Ive not been on here in forever. lol. Heck of a win. I was glad i got to go. Im really impressed more with the offensive line than any group. Look what weights will do. They were great. You have to remeber though that was last years harriman team. Every team has a bad day and just look at how they played rockwood last year in the d tournament. They didn't loose a person off last years team and greenback has a great coach and they only lost 2 or 3 i think. i look for harriman 2b the biggest surprise in single A.

ok i know ive been a jerk, but on a serious note when i watched that game a kid had to be taken to the hospital. He got hit from his blind side on an interception return real bad and was on the field for 10 to 15 min i was just wondering if he was ok because it looked and sounded like an awful hit.

I was part of those teams from across the county who has whooped ur tails the past 4- 10 years and oh yeah nice post on the basketball mesg boards tlking about how good the north green basketball is, i got 2 two things to say, first north green has probly the worst athletics in 1a and when north green is actually good at something then you should talk, but until then i would keep quite because it is gona be a while good luck on north greens athletics because they r gona need it.

Look just trust me when i say i know what they got and i played against them the past couple of years and second don't call me buddy, when i consider somebody from north green a buddy ill let you know if you think that district is tough try playing with rockwood, greenback and harriman they make that district look weak

Actually Cosby beat Grace by more than 30 at Cosby last year. My 2006 team went 34-2 and we actually played somebody. It doesnt matter how long you have a program if you stack a team. I could start a highschool tomarrow and If I picked up the Tn travelers to go to school there it wouldnt be a big deal. I like a lot of the kids who play for Grace, slush and hankins are cool cats, but I hate when kids who dont even play get on here talkin cash $h!t. Its cool though man. root for your team, just dont put them in the same category as Cosby.

Yes, families do move. But I would say it is a lot more likely for a family to move to a place where the parents are promised a good job. Think about it.
