" whitey " from your post on page 6 . It looks like if Blackman wins Thursday ( head to head ) would not be considered because Blackman , Siegel , Oakland beat each other . Second , Riverdale beat all three , so next highest common opponent would be????? Blackman WAS considered the next high seed at time of play , but is that how it works? If that is right then Oakland would be second. Any rocket scientists out there???

Internet finally up or I would have posted last night. Well said " rhssoccerbro " , Riverdale definetly the better team last night. But sometimes in soccer the better team doesn't win. As in last nights game , a miscue by Blackman goalie on the first score, a non call in the box ( handball ), very obvious , on a shot by Blackman , a non call inthe box ( Blackman forward tackled ) , and finally a clean slide tackle by Blackman called a foul which turned into a goal .So , it could have been say 3-3 in a perfect world . But thats soccer and we move on . Big wakeup call for Blackman .

If you knew anything about Ravenwood and the players they have , you wouldn't make such a comment. PERIOD!!!

Senior midfielder Matt Cavett made his seasonal debut for Blackman last night after a seven plus month layoff due to knee surgery . Matt , a Central Arkansas University signee , played alittle more than half the game . According to mom, Elyse , he is a few steps slow. But after seven months off the pitch what could you expect . You could see the fire is still burning. He wasn't afraid to mix it up . Mom was quite nervous throughout the game as any contact made her cringe! All in all a good first game back . No pain afterward according to Matt , all SMILES. WELCOME BACK MATT --- YOU WERE MISSED !!! P.S. -- and he almost scored one -- wouldn't that have been the icing on the cake!!!!!

Blackman 6 - Lebanon 1 -- Blackman dominated time of possesion and controlled the game from start to finish . Halftime was 1 - 0 Blackman , but 2 goals were called back . Handball and a corner kick that curved out of bounds and then back in . Justin Cronin headed the first one in . Second half Blackman came out and scored 3 goals before Lebanon had clean break down the left side and drilled a nice shot past keeper Ken Clinton. Ryan Zeeck scored 3 , Shea Vice 1 ,Justin Cronin 1 , Stefan Serrano 1 for Blackman (5-0-1)(3-0-0)

I've been asking for info on 11AAA , but not much there. I agree ravenwood is solid in the middle , but who are there scorers? And haven't heard anything from Brentwood posters . who's stepping up or not stepping up for them?

Blackman 4 - White Cty 0 -- Blackman control the tempo the whole game . Only 1 shot on goal from White Cty. Blackman opened the scoring early with a nice pass over the top from Justin Cronin to Ryan Zeeck who tip it over the keeper . Second goal was a hard shot from just outside the eighteen by Shea Vice . And then another nice shot fom outside the box by Justin Cronin . Fourth goal came on an own goal last touched by Tabor Jeeter . Game was called early with 15 minutes left due to an injury in which a White Cty player possibly broke his collar bone and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital . Hope all is OK with him.

Many of us are very interested in news from 11 AAA . how about some info . PLEASE

If and when Oakland puts together several quality wins , then people will start talking about them . Years past are hard to overcome . I know every year is different , but just like any other sport , until you put together a couple of quality wins everyone will still be wonder if they are for real.

Blackman 7 Siegel 2 - Siegel scored the first goal in the first few minutes of the game . Blackman answered with 4 goals by Ryan Zeeck. Halftime 4-1 . Second half Siegel narrowed the gap , but Blackman came right back with several more . Siegel had no answer for Zeeck who had 5 goals total ( too physical for Siegel defense ). Said to be a school record for Blackman . I had thought Siegel was the team to beat in 7AAA , But without several key players this was no match . Districts championships should be interesting.

so what is the story ? Ryan playing varsity now ? Anyone know ?

Blackman 2 - Wilson Central 1 --- both goals scored by Ryan Zeeck - First one was a cleanup goal in front of the net . The second came on a solid left foot drive from just outside the eighteen to the top corner of the goal . Solid performance from sweeper Trey Dunn holding Wilson Central to no serious scoring threats . Their only goal came on a PK .

The second came from a cross by Luke Benson and finished By Ryan Zeeck . Columbia scored again with a minute remaining in the half . A strong shot from 25 yards out could not be handled and rolled in . Second half was back and forth , but Columbia seemed to have the stronger attack.

Just an assumption I guess . If I'm wrong I appologize . My daughter played for Blackman 04 - 07 . Oh one more thing . Thanks for passing along the info.
