many folks on here predicting the blowouts are the Pirate fans, not marion. I think they are used to hammering everyone and have no reason to talk about their game because it will be over with in the first quarter. I think this game will probably come down to turnovers. Seq has had two weeks to work on the Warrior offense and prepare for their defense. Everyone is healthy and should be ready for the Warriors. I would have to agree with you there and I am definitely hoping for a win on Friday night! I was just saying that it wouldn't be that bad. The boys are jelling at the right time and OP has forgotten to mention Joe's running mate, Nick Wells. He too is an outstanding back that is having a good year, makes for a good one two punch. It also wouldn't be hard to go further than anyone since the 95 team. We have only had one team make it past the first round since then and that was several years ago when Pruitt was here.

Yeah, I truly believe they could beat Tyner. Tyner is undiciplined and turns the ball over, and always have and Marion is really so much better than they were even when they played Tyner the first time. Honestly, it would come down to turnovers, but we would get them at home again, so that is a definite plus.

Moving to single A wouldn't work either. South Pitt is king down there and they are a mini- Alcoa and will spank Trousdale in about a month or so.

Right now, looks like Smith County if marion wins on friday. Looks as if Smith is the hottest team in region 4 right now, but will fall to 3rd with the tiebreaker with Westmoreland 1st(who smith beat at their place) and York 2nd. May actually be okay to lose to seq as long as Boyd beats Tyner, that would put the warriors 3rd and go back to york again. Either way, I think all the teams in the opposite region are equally tough, but the good thing is with being second, we don't have to beat Boyd and Tyner both, only one of them.

kiddies go trick-or-treating so I am hoping for a thursday game!!

Boyd has actually impressed me this year, getting better just like the warriors, so i disagree on who the top teams are. Probably will get to see the rams in the second round of the playoffs and hopefully the warriors in round three. I actually think Boyd wins this one 28-20

This is probably true with the overall record tiebreaker. However, if Marion loses against seq, and Tyner beats Boyd this coming week, Tyner will be region champs I believe.

Looks like York couldn't hold their own against the team that no one is mentioning from this region, Marion. WOW, 34-0 at the dragon pit, are you kidding me? Were those injured dragons available tonight to play? Don't know if they would make up a five touchdown difference or not.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts............we'd all have a merry christmas!!! If Marion had its state teams from the nineties they would roll also!! I sure hope that those kids play so there will be no excuses tomorrow night. Truth is, if all these kids are back, they aren't going to roll anywhere.......these are two equal teams, they may win, but if turnovers are equal then it will be a close game.

Maybe, just maybe coach Rankin would try to get in touch with Vic Grider at South Pittsburg. All the fans down there seem to think they would handle Alcoa on the field. that isn't very realistic.......If marion beats york, there is absolutely no way they lose to seq. probably wont anyway. Seq. is better than last year, but still not very good.
