From what I have read and heard that is correct. They love to throw the football.

The way Maryville is playing right now I do not see anyone stopping them from winning another Gold Ball this year.

Sounds like the Sweetwater coach and the Lenoir City coach went to the same coaching school. The Lenoir City coach tries to run the same play over and over again to now success. Sweetwater used to be a powerhouse team every year.

Knowing how much Clinton threw the football last year, can Lenoir City expect the same this go around? I have heard that Clinton runs a lot of 4 and 5 wide. Last weeks game as a disaster with the exception that Lenoir City finally did score again. Injury's have seemed to be plaguing Lenoir City all year long. With the week off last week maybe some of these guys are back to 100% and can play safely. I agree LCFOOTBALL. The boys that are left are giving it their all and leaving everything they have on the field. What ever you guys do don't ever give up. Keep trying no matter how hard it might be. There have been several players quit over the last few weeks for one reason or the other. As far as injuries go, everyone should be just about back to 85 % to 100 % and ready to go. Hopefully this senior class of lineman will step up and Lenoir City can finish the season on a strong note. Fan support is down right now and it seems that the only support and encouragement that these kids have right now is from the parents. Keep your heads up guys.

With Lenoir City having the week off last week, what can we expect this week at Knoxville West? Judging from previous games and the fact that Lenoir City has problems stopping the running game and passing game, Jake Ryan should have a field day. Hope I am wrong on this one. GO PANTHERS!!!!!!

I agree that the PA guy on Friday nights needs to go. Maybe we can get rid of him along with the coach.

The reason LC cannot tackle is they never practice tackling drills. Back in the day when you did tackling drills in practice you drove your man to the ground. Now all they seem to do is just hit the man. You have to go back to the basics. Teach these kids the proper blocking technigues, the proper way to tackle, who they are supposed to block, and so on and so forth. Nothing has woked all year long. LC has been outscored 192 to 20. LC has not scored a point in 13 quarters and now has lost 13 straight games dating back to last year. They have given up almost 2,000 yards total offense. I think its time for a chance in the coaching staff. He has not been able to teach these kids in the 5 years he has been there and if he stays it does not look good for the future. I know its hard on the LC football players, but guys try to keep your heads up and remember one thing. DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!!!!

When was the TSSAA visiting LC? Any ideas why they would have been here?

I would have to agree about the score. If Central wanted to just pour it on I feel like they have the talent to do just that to LC. Hopefully we can finally score some points and hang with them at least for 1 quarter.

I don't know if LC played better or if AC just called off the dogs. I would like to think LC played better. I think it would take a miracle Friday night for LC to beat Central. Stranger things have happened so who knows. Who thought APPY State would be Michigan. GO PANTHERS!!!!

I think this will be Maryville's toughest game of the year until they get to the play-offs. Maryville will come out on top and continue their winning ways. The Maryville coach has a top notch program and always produces Division 1 College prospects.

If he goes 0-10 I think you have no choice but to let him go. The more he loses the less people show up to watch the game. Therefore the less money the school makes on Friday nights. After last nights loss that makes LC 12 straight loses dating back to last year. I felt that they needed to change coach's at the end of last year. I also noticed at last nights game that Coach White had another Assistant Coach on the sidelines that had not been there before last night. Also being at the game last night I noticed LOTS of empty seats in the season ticket section. I know if rained all day but was not raining 2 hours before game time. A good portion of the people left after the Homecoming Queen was announced telling em that was the ONLY reason they came to the game last night because they are tired of losing. As far as Coach White and his lack of discipline goes, when a player cusses you and walks off the field telling you he is quiting, in my opinion that young man would NOT be allowed back on my team. Another example is Jeremy Coleman. He actually handed transfer papers to Coach White who refused to sign them. He did not practice all week, but played last nght. He was not any help fumbling 2 times after long gains. You have to stand by your guns and your rules. If you don't practice you DON'T play. I don't care how much the kids parents whine and complain you have to stick to your rules set forth and given to the kids before the season that the KIDS and the PARENTS have to sign and return to the coach. LCHS NEEDS A CHANGE or attendance and support will continue to drop.

Well put Maxi6. The only thing is that most of the coaching staff does not have a clue. One of the assistant coaches has even threatened and cussed the kids and he is supposed to be a youth minister. If that is the case I DO NOT want my kids attending his church. Having coached football before and seeing a player cuss a coach and tell him he quits and walks off the field, then comes back the next day and practices tells me the coach IS afraid of saying anything. He puts out all these list of rules and never abides by them. How can these kids trust and have faith in a coach like this? There is alot of talent on this team just waiting to bust at the seams and with a little coaching from a staff that believes in them they could salvage this season in some fashion. But as long as certain coach's are still on the staff it will never happen and LC will not win and extend their losing streak which dating back to last year is now at 11 straight losses.

Giving up that many yards and points is a sign of not rotating players and playing the SAME players both ways. If you watch these kids by the end of the first quarter they are winded and tired. So by the second half the LC kids are so tired and frustrated they are at loss. The coach's have to realize that THEY have to substitue players to keep fresh legs in the game.

It should be better than last week. Saw good things toward the end of the Powell game with the non-starters moving the ball down the field, rotating multiple players into the game the whole time during the drive. If the starters can't move the ball play the second string guys. Give them a chance to play. As far as injuries go I think they look pretty good with the exception of a couple lineman who are guestionable for this weeks game. Go Panthers!!!!!

If the boys from Lenoir City were not put down and told they cannot win by Coach White, they might have a chance at putting up a good fight in this one. He has repeatedly told these boys that they are maybe a 3 and 7 team or even a 1 and 9 team. You cannot tell them this and expect them to play up to there ability for this guy. Somehting needs to be done or these boys will not win a game this year.
